The future has arrived with the NAC MEMRECAM ACS, the world's first 40 GPX frames per second, high-speed digital video camera!

Versatile and compact in its powerful format, the NAC MEMRECAM ACS is the world's first
40 gigapixel (GPX) frames per second, high-speed digital video camera. Weighing just 16
pounds, the ACS delivers faster speed - up to 40,000 frames per second (FPS), light
sensitivity of up to 50,000 ISO with no gain/amplification, and is 60% smaller than its
closest competitor. Armed with a 256GB dram onboard memory AND an optional one terabyte
(1TB) capability via built-in solid state memory drive, it also offers a high speed
connection to an external drive providing never-before reached on-board memory capability.
Best of all, the ACS is user-friendly, providing a completely intact computer-less
operation that utilizes non-proprietary, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) accessories.
With all of its capabilities, nothing comes close to achieving the performance or results
now available with the MEMRECAM ACS.

nac is pleased to announce the world's first 40 gigapixel per second high speed video
camera. The Latin word Acies (ACS for short) is defined as the full attention of one's
sight, and senses, as directed towards a particular object. Based on that description,
what an appropriate name for nac's new MEMRECAM high speed system!

nac Camera Captures Voices via Neck Vibrations

Researchers at Waseda University in Tokyo are using one of nac's
Memrecam HX high speed camera to decipher a person's words without
the use of a microphone or lip reading. By recording at 10,000 fps.,
the camera is able to capture every "wavering wobble of neck flesh"
that accompanies sounds from a person's voice box. A software
program then turns the recorded images of skin vibrations into
sound waves. The technique should allow scientists to hear words
even if there's a lot of background noise.

During the live NOS broadcast of the Dutch cycling classic Amstel Gold Race,
viewers were treated to stunning ultra slow motion shots coming live from a
motorcycle camera in what is considered a world's first. Using a nac Hi-Motion
II™ supplied by Netherlands-based full-service rental house Broadcast Rental,
for the first time the ultra slow motion shots were transmitted live through
a RF connection to the OB truck. In regular OB productions, the nac Hi-Motion
II is connected via cable and the replay-operator controls the ultra slow
motion footage from the camera. During the Amstel Gold Race, however, the slow
motion footage was actually being triggered by the camera operator and the
replays sent as a live feed to the director for broadcast.
