Are you starting an online business, or maybe giving your ongoing business an update? Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been in business for a while and ready to make a larger impact, you need to let potential customers know you are open and available to serve them.

That means getting the word out; and with some know how, you have plenty of options to successfully market your business to the masses.

1. Update your branding.

If you’ve been around for awhile, or wanting to attract new eyes on your website, consider if you need to update your logo and basic branding graphics. Spend some time fleshing out your images and settle on a design, colors and fonts that reflect the personality of your business and brand. Even if your blog or website has been around for a while, a rebrand using new colors, images and fonts will get people looking and listening for your new message. You’ll also be able to use your new look to increase awareness of your business on all social media platforms.

Once you have your branding visuals ready, begin your web and social media business awareness campaign. You’ll want to create a company blog before you do this, and you have plenty of workable options that don’t require much in the way of tech experience. Here are 5 basic online marketing methods to open up new accounts, upload your brand images, describe your services, and keep updated with your latest business news, events and offerings.

2. Your blog or website.

Fortunately, it’s not necessary to have a huge background in technology to manage your own business website or blog these days. Once you set up the basics like hosting, a domain name, and a platform you’re ready to get your message out. The next step is to launch your updated site. If you’re not confident to create and mange your own website, consider hiring a web designer from an online job site.

3. Your email newsletter.

It is totally necessary for you to have a basic way for people to join your mailing list in order to stay in touch with potential customer and sell products and services. There are multiple email providers out there ranging from the easy to complicated, depending on what you need. Some online business owners operate their entire business from the email lists. So choose a provider, such as MailerLite or Aweber. Make a list of topics your targeted audience would be interested in learning about and start writing articles to post on your blog and social media accounts. When you share on your blog and on your social accounts, don’t forget to provide a link people can use to sign up for your email list. Then, start mailing to them on a regular basis.

4. LinkedIn and Facebook

LinkedIn is one of the best social media sites to share your business news, information and updates. Most everyone there has an account meant for professional reasons. So you can push your message out about your business, background and your offers without the distraction many other social media sites present. Facebook is getting rather congested these days, but you can start with a basic business page there. Seek out other social media sites based on your business model. However, don’t overdo at first. It’s better to focus and spend time on one or two relevant sites to gain traction before starting additional social media areas.

5. Professional Networks and Special Interest Groups

After getting started on the social media sites, research groups on the various sites that relate to the services you offer, the types of professional connections you seek, and the people who would want what you sell. Then join the groups that have members of your target market. Start sharing relevant comments that highlight what you do to attract attention and show your expertise. Be sure to follow the group rules, but if allowed, post a link back to your site or to a relevant article on your blog where the person can find an opt-in form to sign up for your mailing list.

When starting a business or promoting one you’ve been in for a while, it’s imperative to get the word out to potential customers about what you do. These few tips will get you started gaining some visibility.

Faith-filled women in the workplace often face unique challenges and struggles when using their God-given gifts and talents to make a difference in the internet business world. But, through it all, there is a place and a need for what you have to offer.

So even though it can be tough to navigate the ups and downs of the business world while staying true to your values, you must have the courage and confidence in your own abilities to lead your business and be productive on your own terms.

Unfortunately, it’s easy to fall into a trap of doing things that actually hinder your success and some of that can be from your own wrong thinking.

Here are 3 things to NEVER do as you pursue your goals using your God-given gifts and talents:

1. Never compare yourself to others.

“We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves.” 2 Corinthians 10:12a

It’s easy to get caught up in the comparison trap, especially in online business situations where competition in center niches seems high. But remember that you are uniquely created by God with your own set of skills, experiences, and talents to use in the marketplace. Don’t worry about comparisons with others but instead, have the confidence to find that creative way to develop your niche to highlight your unique way of presenting products and services. Embrace your individuality and focus on being the best version of yourself.

2. Never believe the lies of imposter syndrome.

“We all have a purpose God intentionally designed for us to live out” Eph. 2:10a.

Some levels of self-doubt is not unusual in business, especially when entering a niche market with a lot of competition. But remember, God has equipped you with everything you need to succeed. Your specific life experiences and set of skills and talents are the foundation for you to create a business that differs from others even if it’s in the same niche area as others. You are not an imposter; you are a confident, capable woman who has her own purpose that can make a difference in the world.

3. Never isolate yourself.

“Unfriendly people care only about themselves; they lash out at common sense.” Proverbs 18:1

It can be tempting to try to go it alone in the internet business world, but we were not meant to journey through life alone. It’s important to have others to share ideas with in order to expand your knowledge and abilities. Isolating yourself limits your ability to understand what people in the marketplace are looking for. When you surround yourself with a community of like-minded women who share your values and can offer a broad range of support and encouragement you keep updated on new trends in the internet business arena that affect the growth of your business. Working with others expands your marketing abilities and lets everyone become stronger.

So, my dear sisters, as you navigate the challenges and triumphs of the workplace, remember that you are not alone. Do what you know showing your unique skills and talents instead of trying to imitate anyone else.

You are uniquely created by God with a purpose to share with others in the marketplace. Always be your authentic self, putting forth your best ideas and efforts with confidence.

Embrace your individuality, believe in yourself, and surround yourself with a supportive community. There is a place and a need for what you have to offer, plus working with others expands your thinking and partnership opportunities.

You’ve got this!

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” Ps.139:14

If you’re a woman of faith who has been around for a while and you’re aiming to make a difference in the professional world using your God-given talents, then let me share some valuable insights with you.

As a fellow Christian woman in the marketplace, I understand how important it is to feel connected to your life purpose and being able to leverage your unique skills to make a positive impact in the world.

First and foremost, like it says the Psalms 139:14 verse, you are uniquely created by God with a specific purpose. Embracing this truth will empower you to confidently pursue your goals as you contribute to the world around you in a meaningful way. (embrace Biblica principles in your business).

It’s essential to release your purpose in the world while you can. There is a place for what you alone have to offer as a woman with skills to integrate faith and business decisions in an online business.

With that in mind, let’s talk about 7 skills that will support, grow, and prosper you as a thought leader in your chosen professional field.

1. Business Acumen: Educate yourself on market trends, industry regulations, and best practices in your business to overcome any insecurity in operating your business. Learn skills that will let you stay ahead of the curve and make informed business decisions. Seek out opportunities for professional development through workshops, seminars, and online courses, to enhance your skills and expand your knowledge base in key areas of business management.

2. Communication: Develop clear, concise, and compelling communication skills to effectively convey your message. Practice active listening to truly understand the needs and concerns of others, fostering stronger relationships and trust. Also, learn to use storytelling techniques to convey complex ideas in a relatable and engaging manner, captivating your audience’s attention.

3. Networking: Build meaningful connections with like-minded individuals to build a target market with Christian values who can support and elevate your journey. Attend industry events, workshops, and conferences to expand your professional network and stay updated on emerging trends. Take the initiative to start conversations to build relationships and show genuine interest in the experiences and expertise of others.

4. Creativity: Discover and uncover your unique creativity and use it to innovate and problem-solve in your field. Set aside dedicated time for brainstorming and idea generation, allowing yourself the freedom to explore unconventional solutions. Collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds to gain fresh perspectives and inspire innovative thinking within your team.

5. Empathy: Cultivate a deep sense of care and understanding for others, allowing you to connect with those you work with or serve on a personal level. Take time to really get to know the needs and perspective of others by listening carefully when they express themselves. Deepen your understanding of the emotions and perspectives of others by asking their opinion and using their responses in your decision-making processes, demonstrating a commitment to meeting their needs and preferences.

6. Resilience: Harness the ability to bounce back from setbacks and pursue your goals with unwavering determination. Failures will happen but see them as learning opportunities providing valuable lessons that contribute to your personal and professional growth. Pray, relax, and practice self-care techniques to maintain a healthy work-life balance and prevent burnout during challenging times.

7. Leadership: Embrace your role as a leader within your industry and inspire others with your vision and values. Learn how to integrate faith into your business decisions to lead with biblical principles. Seek out mentorship from established leaders in your industry to gain insights and guidance on effective leadership strategies. Then lead by example as you consistently demonstrate integrity, authenticity, and humility in your interactions with colleagues and clients.

As you develop these essential skills and leverage your unique talents, creativity, and business abilities, you will confidently step closer to your role as a thought leader in your chosen field.

Always remember, you are uniquely created for a purpose. No one can do exactly what you can, meaning there is a need and a purposeful place for what you have to offer.

Customers are the life-line for any business. Customers buy your products or services and can be your greatest source of referrals to get additional clients. Customer-centric marketing is based on keeping the customer in mind with all of your marketing strategy to make more money for your business. Therefore, all of your marketing strategy must be similar to your product development and content creating, that is, placing the focus on customers. To understand this concept better, here are 8 vital concepts to learn to place the focus on the customer in marketing by understanding “why” this is important.

1. Customers Bring All the Money to the Table – It seems like an obvious statement but sometimes companies forget the fact that the only way to make money is to get customers to buy what your business offers. Customer-centric marketing always remembers this fact by deeply understanding as much about your customer as possible.

2. Customers Can Be Divided in Segments – To be customer-centric, learn about segmenting customers into different groups based on various criteria such as demographics and psychographics. Demographics provide information on the factual details of people such as gender, age groups, ethnicity, or other factors particular to your business that will attract your customers. Psychographics talk about the ways your customers think; what attracts them to your products, why they choose what you offer over someone else and so on. Knowing this information is a key factor to attract and retain customers to increase repeat sales.

3. Customers are Individuals not a Group – Thinking of each customer as an individual is important when it comes to customer-centric marketing. You do this by understanding individual aspects of customers by researching their purchasing behaviors, as well as what influences them to be attracted to your products or services. Create marketing personas that represent the customer so all marketing “speaks” the language of your primary customers. This lets the customer recognize themselves in your marketing materials.

4. Customer Satisfaction is Key – Customers that make a buying choice based on customer-centric marketing messages are found to be more satisfied after their purchases. When the customer feels their needs, wants, and desires are reflected through the marketing messages, they will relate to those messages and feel they have adequate information to make a sound buying choice.

5. Customer Centric Products are Needed – Focusing on your customers extends to creating products and services the specific customer wants, not just what the seller wants to market to them. That is, your programs, services, and more naturally sway the customer to be attracted to them because they address specific desires of the customer. For example, a weight-loss program is probably good, but a weight-loss program for women over 40 who suffer from diabetes is more customer-centric to a particular market. Knowing what your customers needs and want help drive the development of products and services that address those aspects, naturally developing long term economic viability of your programs compared to a generic program on the market.

6. Customers are Worth Respect – A company that uses customer-centric marketing uses communication tactics the customer recognizes which lets the person feel heard, valued, and served. When a vendor shows the customer is understood, that customer feels respected as their needs and wants seem important to the vendor. When you can let the customer “hear herself talking” by using words and phrases that customer commonly uses to express their needs, the person feels hear and respected. All marketing should reflect this understanding.

7. Customers Repeat Bringing Money to the Table – Customer-centric marketing understands that 80 percent of all purchases are made by the same customers. Keeping current customers in the buying look is vital for scaling up a business. Being able to re-market to current customers strengthens your brand, and can cost much less than having to create new marketing campaigns to attract new customers.

8. Customers Expect You to Keep Promises – Companies who participate in customer centric marketing don’t make promises to they can’t keep to their customers. In fact, they know it is always better to under promise and over deliver. When customers know that when you tell them something, you stand by it you build trust between you and your customers. This is a key factor in doing repeat business. Your prices might be higher than the competitor but knowing you will always deliver on what you promise will bring customers back and keep them from straying elsewhere just to end up potentially disappointed.

Customer-centric businesses have the goal of creating a culture that shows how they value the customer above all else. They have a a marketing strategy that let’s customers know for sure that they are important and come first. When customers feel appreciated, valued and respected, they end up very loyal to the brand. Does your marketing strategy have a customer-centric focus? If not, it’s time to revisit your marketing strategy to make adjustments as needed to move past the competition and create brand loyalty.

“The diligent find freedom in their work; the lazy are oppressed by work” (Prov. 12:24, Peterson)

I can’t tell you have many times I’ve been inspired to start writing a book or some articles and later found the partially finished work in a folder somewhere. Of course, there are also folders of completed projects done with great confidence, but the half-finished ones are quite frustrating. It makes me wonder if I’m being consistently diligent enough to get to the finish line when I’ve set a goal?

When you’re an independent professional in the process of building an independent business, being diligent is a prime key for success.

This above scripture was relating to the person who worked for others. But what would it look like for the independent business woman?

“The diligent find freedom in their work”

Proverbs 12:24 teaches us that those who diligently persist and do good work will find freedom.

A entrepreneur who is diligent takes pride in their work. They are confident and dedicated to paying attention to details so what they do is of the highest quality, which is seen in the outcomes of their work. That person is determined, focused, and unyielding in reaching her goal.

They can work hard but still find joy in life. They are confident in business while being persistent and strategic to reach an intended goal.

The verse says the diligent will experience freedom. That freedom can come in several ways:

Financial Freedom: The diligent person builds a solid base for a confident business or professional position that generates economic stability with growth opportunities. Her strategic business path is clear and each day brings her closer to her goal. Bills are getting paid and there is money in the bank for other needs.

Professional Freedom: Diligent people pursue new markets and work hard to diversify their products and services. This person works on expanding operations as her high-quality reputation attracts more growth opportunities in the marketplace. She is seen as a professional in her niche and starts to be sought out for opportunities that bring more exposure to her business.

Personal Freedom: The diligent woman is able to live life on her own terms, showing leadership even outside of the workplace by enjoying hobbies and quality time with others. She enjoys an overall healthier lifestyle with recreational time and personal growth activities. the programs and services she offers are selected according to her own terms and she doesn’t overwork to make ends meet.

“The lazy are oppressed by work”

In contrast to the diligent person is the business person who does not seem to put their best efforts into their work. They don’t enjoy their work, might not have any confidence in what they are doing, and find no joy in what they do. Work is something that is done for survival, not for expression of the life calling.

Their work is not up to expected standards, deadlines come and go too often, and little if anything can be accounted for after a full work day. That person often doesn’t show enthusiasm and has no inspiration to excel.

Lots could be going on with the person who seems this way that others don’t understand.

Unfortunately, there can be dire outcomes for those who falter in completing their work in a diligent manner:

Financial Oppression: This person could struggle financially to just make ends meet. They may make mistakes in buying too many unnecessary programs, courses, or technology that drains their already limited finances. Instead of creating an income stream, they slip into the overwhelming oppression of financial debt and feel like a failure.

Professional Oppression: The person might be pursuing a path that is not theirs to take. Because of constant worry, the person could be easily influenced to try one idea or program after another, going done paths not suitable for their skills. With too many things on their plate at any time, they are exhausted, burned out, or depressed.

Personal Oppression: With constant worry in their work life, there could be little to no time to just relax. Personal relationships can suffer, as well as their health and well-being. The emotional toll and lack of productivity can contribute to a downward spiral of negative emotions and low self-esteem resulting in an overall sense of dissatisfaction in life, lacking a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Rethinking Those Called the Oppressed

It’s easy to judge those who don’t seem to be as enthusiastic in their work, especially when things are going well in our business. But when we look back with honesty, we can remember our own struggles to start earning money on the internet.

Multiple factors affect the success or failure of any type of business as even the largest and most prosperous operations have fallen on hard times in past years. Many will still face difficult times in the future due to the economy, new innovations, societal changes and more forces that are out of the hands of the independent business professional.

In fact, before considering someone as “lazy” when working, try changing the word “lazy” to a new term such as confused, overwhelmed, nervous, unsupported, tired, or just weary.

Nurturing Freedom in Work to the Oppressed

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

What if those who feel discouraged in their could be a target market for the diligent?

Is there something you can do to help the discouraged or trouble business person?

Could this possibly be your target market to help as you develop programs and services that address the needs of those struggling to find a way to use their talents to create an income.

For a Christian business women it’s important not to look down on those who struggle to develop their skills in the marketplace. We’ve all been in that place at one point in time and might be there in something again.

A person might be struggling to fit into a niche that isn’t right for them making it a struggle to implement a workable strategy. Perhaps their struggle with web development or other internet tools. Mindset and confidence could need a boost. Maybe a community of like-minded professionals instead of working in an isolated situation which is difficult for the person accustomed to working around others.

A multitude of other situations might be hindering the unsuccessful business person that keeps them from success. You might have the support they seek to get the breakthrough they need.

Could your expertise be exactly what the struggling online business person needs to get her break through to success?

Keep your eyes and ears open to see if you can be the one to assist those who are struggling. You could be the one to provide the joy of finding Freedom in Work for those who need you the most.

As a Christian business woman, have you ever found yourself questioning the value of what you have to offer in the professional world? Have hard times or difficult tasks make you wonder if your skills and talents truly matter?

Reflect on your journey. If there have been times of trial and tribulation that tested your resolve as you pursue your goals, here are three points to remember about how faith is your source of strength in the workplace:

A Helping Hand in the Storm: Have you ever felt like you were drowning in the middle of storm when things got overwhelming in your business, but somehow, you got up and started trying again anyway? If so, it was your faith that pulled you back up when you found yourself overwhelmed by the storm. Remember how Peter tried to walk on water like Jesus and started to doubt? As he was sinking, Jesus reached out His hand to pull him up saving “You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?” (Matt. 13:31). Through prayer and faith, you can find the strength to keep moving towards your goals without doubt. Even if you have to do a beginner dogpaddle in the water, you’ll soon be back in the boat moving towards your goal waiting for you on the shore.

A Courageous Course Correction: Has reluctance to decide ever threatened to get you off course towards a business goal? Maybe you doubted investing in some new technology or enrolling in a needed but expense course. It’s only human to falter at times in your determination to follow a direction you want to move in, especially when it means investing time or money. Pray about it. When you’re unsure and you don’t feel you can make the right decision say, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24). Then pray about it again, wait, and trust God to know the direction to take. You’ll find the courage to make the right choice to correct the direction of your steps and get back on course to accomplish your goals.

A Beacon of Light: What happened the last time you were confused and just couldn’t see straight about your next move in your business? Maybe you took a wrong turn to follow the latest bright shiny object and lost your way. Then stop and reflect on how your faith will bring light into the darkest corners of your journey. When you put in some prayer about a situation you can continue to have hope to see things clearer. Turn your face to things above to see the light to guide your path “For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness” Psalm 18:28. Keep your eyes focused on the light of truth about the situation to see things clearly and you’ll see the direction to take. Through faith and reflection, your next steps will become clear to you.

Daily operating a business will naturally have its ups and downs; just expect it. But that doesn’t mean it has to keep you from pushing ahead. As a woman of faith, call on that faith and prayer to pull you through to move you through with determination.

As you stand at the threshold of growing your business, I challenge you to move forward boldly. Be a part of the upcoming membership for Christian women and you will not be alone in this journey. Together, we will uplift and empower one another, drawing strength from our shared faith and commitment to making a difference in the professional world. Take the first step today, sister.
In His grace and love.

Have you ever found yourself needing a beacon on light in the middle of your workday? A day that starts like all others can sometimes get turned around by an unexpected situations; a phone call with startling news, a deadline that came too quickly, the cancelation of a meeting that affects the next steps in a process. Perhaps you just can’t decide on the next move and miss an important deadline to move your business forward.

During these times it might be difficult to know how to push forward. But there is something inside of a Christian business women that can keep her moving forward.

That something is your faith.

Faith in these situations won’t always be big, obvious, or loud. It can be as small as a mustard seed which will result in being big enough to move the mountains that appear in your path (Matthew 17:20).

Think about it, when you’ve been in the middle of uncertainty, how has your faith helped you to get through?

Here are three points to remember about how faith is your source of strength in the workplace:

A Helping Hand in the Storm: Has it ever felt like you were in the middle of storm drowning when things go overwhelming in your business, but you got up and started trying again anyway? It was your faith that became your anchor when you found yourself in the middle of the storm. Remember how Peter tried to walk on water like Jesus and started to doubt and Jesus reached out His hand to save him saving “You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?” (Matt. 13:31). Through prayer and scripture, you can find the strength to keep moving towards your goals without doubt. Just keep moving towards the goal despite it all. even

You’ll find the courage to make the right choice to get back on the course needed to accomplish your goals.

A Beacon of Light: Reflect on how your faith has brought light into the darkest corners of your journey. When you put in some prayer about a situation you can continue to have hope for the best results. Stay focused on your goal. Keep in mind the need to stay patient and never doubt that you’ll hear the answer to your prayers. “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind” (James 1:6). Through prayer and reflection, you will find your hope renewed and strength restored.

In times of despair, faith and prayer can pull you through. As you stand at the threshold of creating your business, I challenge you to move forward boldly. Be a part of the upcoming membership for Christian women and you will not be alone in this journey. Together, we will uplift and empower one another, drawing strength from our shared faith and commitment to making a difference in the professional world. Take the first step today, sister.

At times, Christian women in business might move from feeling confident to needing support to move ahead in their business.

Finding a faith-based business mentor can be difficult for the Christian businesswoman, and the Bible is often not the first source a professional considers when looking for business advice.

But this timeless source of inspiration, shares stories or brief mentions of over 300 women who, regardless of their age or status in their society, walked with purpose and made significant impacts in their worlds. Their rarely known stories can provide many lessons to utilize in all areas of life, including business.

Here are brief introductions to three Bible women who have a mentoring lesson for Christian businesswomen. Learn how their lives and actions highlight an inspirational lesson to mentor women of today.

1. Deborah: A Leader of Wisdom and Courage.

Deborah was a prophet and the only female judge in the Bible. Her story is found in the Bible book of Judges 4:4-16 in the Old Testament. During her time, the Judges were similar to the president of the nation. This put her in a unique position of power and leadership. Deborah led Israel with wisdom and even led the army into battle, defeating an enemy that threatened the people and territory of the region.

Her story teaches lessons on the importance of stepping up to leadership with courage and wisdom. She provides an early reminder that leadership isn’t confined to certain people and that women possess the skills and insight to guide, lead, and inspire those around them at the top levels in business and other ventures.

Mentor Moment from Deborah: If it’s working for others or leading your own business, draw on your abilities to be a leader in your field. Step up and offer your insights and expertise to guide others as a mentor and leader of a project in your business or other situation. Just as Deborah fearlessly led Israel, you can find the spiritual and practical strength to fearlessly draw on your strengths and expertise to make leadership decisions needed in your ventures.

2. The Canaanite Woman: Faith to Fuel Persistence.

The story of the Canaanite woman is found in Matthew 15:21-18 and Mark 7:24-30 in the New Testament of the Bible. We don’t know her name, we don’t know her background. What we do know is she was a woman who had the relentless faith and persistence to reach a goal. Despite cultural rules, this woman approached Jesus, begging Him to heal her demon-possessed daughter. Initially, Jesus seemed to ignore, then reject her pleas, but she didn’t give up.

She continued to follow him, continued in faith to ask for healing. She wasn’t going to give up, no matter how long it took. Finally, she got what she asked for, the healing of her daughter.

Her story illustrates the power of not giving up on what you believe in, even when faced with challenges or dismissals.

Mentor Moment from the Canaanite Woman: What is a goal or dream you’ve been hesitant to pursue? To achieve a goal, you have to take the first step, then the next, and keep on stepping until you achieve it. Have unwavering faith like the Canaanite woman to persist despite setbacks or initial obstacles to reach the goal that’s ahead of you.

3. Rahab: Bold Enough to Change Her Life

The story of Rahab is found in the Old Testament in Joshua 2-2, and in the New Testament in Matthew 1:5 and Hebrews 11:21. Rahab lived in the city of Jericho. She lived with her family in a large house located on the wall of the city that served as an inn for visitors and dyed flax ropes on the roof. Some believe Rahab was a prostitute because of having an Inn, however, many Jewish historians only call her an innkeeper.

When two spies from the Israelite army came to Rahab’s establishment to spy on the city of Jericho, the King sent soldiers to capture them. Instead of turning them over, Rahab risked her life to hide them under the flax ropes on the roof of her inn. Her courage and faith later secured her family’s safety when the area was overtaken by the Israelite army. Later, Rahab married a prince of Israel and became a mother in the lineage of Jesus.

Mentor Moment from Rahab: Rahab risked everything for a new life based on her faith in God. It takes courage to make decisions that could put you in harm’s way or compromise some other aspect of your life. But to reach the levels of success that you are destined for it might require that you dare to make courageous decisions to shape your future. Reflect on areas of your life where you desire change and identify one bold step you can take towards that change. Rahab’s story encourages us to make bold choices to change the trajectory of our life, regardless of our past, or how society views us. Rahab lived with a controversial reputation but made a life-altering decision that changed the course of her life. As a result of her actions, she is one of five women the Bible listed in the genealogy of Jesus as well as among those of great faith.

Biblical matriarchs offer powerful lessons in all areas of life. Embrace the opportunity to join the upcoming membership for Christian businesswomen that will feature story of Bible women to inspire your journey to success. Together, we will uplift and empower one another, drawing strength from our shared faith and commitment to making a difference in the professional world.

I will never regret my time in the workplace. When I think about the people I’ve been able to impact in a positive way to live a better life, I know I was working to in my the area of my life purpose.

Still, as a woman of faith and a high-level professional, I often felt alone and isolated in the fast-paced world of business. While I always knew there was a place and need among those I served with my skills, talents, and abilities, I questioned whether they were actually valued by my employers.

However, throughout my journey, I never doubted that I am uniquely created by God with a specific purpose to share with others in the marketplace.

And so are you.

So, if you every face some ups and downs as you contemplate your entrepreneurial journey, I understand. Although most “gurus” don’t want to say it, the truth is, it’s a journey that will be marked by both highs and lows. Yet, let me reassure you, there is a place and need for what YOU have to offer with your unique set of talents and interests.

3 Faith-Focused Steps to Help Find Your Niche

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17.

If it’s time for you to take the plunge and start using your lifetime of talents in a new business concept, take heed to that voice inside urging you to move forward. Here are three faith-inspired steps to guide you as you embark on this exciting journey:

1. Acknowledge Your Unique Talents and Skills: The first step will be to find and claim the specific niche area you want to serve in your business. Reflect on the unique talents and skills you’ve developed in your lifetime to date. It doesn’t matter where you performed these tasks; it could have been at home, in church, with a nonprofit organization or a corporation, a ministry, or a volunteer opportunity that allowed you to develop your skills.

Think about which of the skills and talents you enjoy using the most, and which do you long to learn more about. Do you seek opportunities to share these skills and talents? What are your current interest areas or passions you want to share with others?

As you look at your combination of skills, you’ll realize that the group of talents and skills you have are unique to you. While some people can have a similar set of skills, there will still be differences in the whole package. Your set of talents and skills have been developed during your lifetime and no one has traveled the exact same path. What you have to share is not always found in the marketplace in the way you could present them. One or more of these skill areas or groupings of skills could be your niche (focus area) to use in a business venture.

2. Decide How You Could Serve the Marketplace: After you identify your unique set of talents and skills, God’s guidance to recognize where you could use what you have to meet the needs of a particular target market. Then “commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” Proverbs 16:3. In time, the area you are called to pursue in your business will become clear.

For me, I realized that through all my years the things I enjoyed the most included mentoring and supporting others to pursue their goals, various forms of writing, and teaching. As a life-long learner I’m always finding ways to expand on these and other areas I’ve enjoyed learning different ways to use my skills and talents to assist others.

As you create a list of your favorite talents and skills, think about how you can use these to serve others in the marketplace. Decide what you would love to share with the world, commit your plans to the Lord for more direction, then start to establish your plans for moving forward.

3. Focus on Biblical Principles: The Bible tells us “Each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace” 1 Peter 4:10.

Understanding that you were given skills intended to help others and earn money will further encourage you to get moving. Further this new understanding by learning more from the timeless wisdom found in the Bible about work, money, and entrepreneurship.

Draw strength from the lives of women in the Bible who illustrate principles of faith, authenticity, empathy, and community. Let your journey be guided by these foundational values, knowing that they not only sustain you but also enrich your interactions as a professional businesswoman.

Embrace your God-given gifts and talents, trusting in your unique purpose for such a time as this to move boldly into your business future. As you embark on this journey, remember, don’t do it all alone. Stay connected and encouraged by reaching out to be in a community built for like-minded women of faith.

With faith as your compass, step boldly into the realm of entrepreneurship, knowing you have what you need to make it happen. You’re not alone in this. Your journey is covered by divine purpose, and the world you will serve eagerly awaits what you have to share.

Embrace your calling with courage and conviction, for you are destined for greatness.

The story of Huldah if found in 2 Kings 22; 2 Chronicles 34:22-33. She was one of seven Prophetess’ in the Bible. She she lived in the College in Jerusalem during the reign of King Josiah. Huldah was married to Shallum, the keeper of the royal wardrobe and her nephew was Jeremiah, a young, well-known male prophet at the time. But it was Huldah that King Josiah sent for to interpret the genuineness of the lost book of the law of God found in the palace.

She was a highly intelligent woman who was focused on being faithful to God’s word even though it meant delivering an unpleasant message to the King that others might have feared to give. As a result, her prophetic message resulted in a public reading of the law of God bringing about a spiritual revival of the nation under King Josiah.

Huldah’s story is important in biblical tradition and history as the texts she authenticates become a foundation for core Scripture for Judaism and Christianity.

Huldah was a politically connected scholar who was successful in a nontraditional position and had the trust of the King of the nation. She was a highly educated scholar, industrious, a mentor, life-long learner, ethical, truthful, and fearless.

Her Bible Story: 2 Kings 22; 2 Chronicles 34:22-33
