How to Merge Multiple .vcf Contacts into One .vcf Contact

When ever you try to update your phone the first thing you usually take care about is the secured backup of your contacts. Contacts might be really important for you and maybe for your business too, so yesterday I just bought my new iPhone 5, well yes I know I was really interested in that phone so I just bought it another day it was released in Nigeria .

So as soon as I bought my iPhone 5 I just gave my earlier iPhone to my father who was already owning Nokia E52 so my job was to backup contacts from Nokia E52 and transfer them to iPhone 4, well I know that if I just upload a single .vcf file and open that in the iPhone it will automatically add all the contacts to your iPhone’s list.
Well I have already posted a tutorial on how you can backup your contacts on your iPhone and transfer them anywhere using that single .vcf file. But the deal was to get contacts backed up from Nokia E52 and transfer them to iPhone, well the process was easy to backup contacts on Nokia device as I just backed them up in the memory card but the problem was that I got every contact in a separate .vcf file so I just need to find a way to merge all those .vcf file into one .vcf file, so after searching a lot on the internet, I came through a simple process.

Copy all .vcf Contacts using Command Prompt

Well this tutorial just adds another simple command prompt work around, which you can follow below as I have explained it briefly.

Make sure your all .vcf contacts are assembled in one folder that’s kept in any drive I would prefer you to go with C:\Contacts
So now your all contacts are kept at once place, now its time to merge all .vcf contacts into one single .vcf file so that it can be used on any phone and specially iPhone.
Now just fire up your command prompt by pressing Ctrl + R and typing in CMD.
Now by default your C:\ drive will be selected now if you have kept all your contacts in contacts folder that’s in C:\ drive just type down cd contacts that will open the contacts folder in CMD now execute the below command in CMD.

copy *.vcf all.vcf
Now this will command will merge all your contacts and create a single .vcf file in that same folder with the all.vcf name.
Now you can just transfer that single all.vcf file to your iPhone your iPhone by mailing it or any other transferring method and as soon as you will click that file iPhone will ask you to add all those contacts to your iPhone contacts list.

Create a Shortcut to Lock Your Computer

Leaving your computer in a hurry but you don’t want to log off? You can double-click a shortcut on your desktop to quickly lock the keyboard and display without using CTRL+ALT+DEL or a screensaver.

To create a shortcut on your desktop to lock your computer .:

1. Right-click the desktop.
2. Point to New, and then click Shortcut.
3. The Create Shortcut Wizard opens. In the text box, type the following:

rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

4. Click Next.
5. Enter a name for the shortcut. You can call it "Lock Workstation" or choose any name you like.
6. Click Finish.

NOTE: You can also change the shortcut's icon (my personal favorite is the padlock icon in shell32.dll).

To change the icon .:

1. Right click the shortcut and then select Properties.
2. Click the Shortcut tab, and then click the Change Icon button.
3. In the Look for icons in this file text box, type: Shell32.dll.
4. Click OK.
5. Select one of the icons from the list and then click OK

You could also give it a shortcut keystroke such CTRL+ALT+L. This would save you only one keystroke from the normal command, but it could be more convenient.

Well when ever you login to your account from unrecognized device or your cookies are clear and the computer is new than Facebook will send you a text message with a code on your phone that you need to enter after entering your password.
Now the code you will receive will be different everytime you login as it will be randomly generated with numeric characters so that no one with just your password can login to your account without your permission. So its pretty much an awesome feature which everyone owning a mobile phone should opt for.

How to Enable 2 Step Verification in Facebook

Well this feature as stated by the facebook team might not be available for everyone right now, but maybe in 1-2 days you will get this feature in your account settings, I checked mine and even I am not having this feature updated. But still below are the steps on how you will be able to start your 2 step verification when it is enabled.

Login to your Facebook account and navigate to Account Settings > Security > Login Approvals.
Now it will be disabled by default just click on it and it will ask you to confirm your phone to start Login Approvals feature on your account.
Now it will send you’re the code to verify your mobile number, just check for that code in your messages and enter there.
Now after confirming your phone you 2 step verification would be enabled, now its time to check it out.
Just close your browser and refresh it by deleting its cookies any other data you can use CCleaner tool to do this.
Now just try to login to your facebook account, as soon as you pump in your password and click Log In you will be greeted with the message like in the above image.
Now you will receive code on your mobile just enter that code to enter in your account. So from now if any other person tries to login to your account if he knows your password he still needs to enter the code you will receive on your registered mobile.

So earlier I posted some hottest titles that were going to be released in 2013 but as this year is at its end so does all the titles except few of them that might be getting on the ground in the month of December, possibly around Christmas or so. Well now I thought to search for the list of games that might be releasing in the year 2014.

Well this list might be incomplete or few games might be shifted to some other date like it happened in the case of Watch Dogs, so please apology for all that stuff but possibly maximum dates are confirmed and they will be releasing in the month mentioned below, so just grab a look.

How to Remove Advertisements from uTorrent & BitTorrent

Well today I found another simple tutorial that allows you to remove all the advertisements from your uTorrent client, so now if you do not know where all the ads popup in your uTorrent client then just check the above screenshot I have highlighted the areas with red border those are the advertisements that shuffle up automatically.

So now those advertisements are not taking up a lot of space or distracting a lot but still if you want to get RID of all those advertisements then we have a simple solution to do that using inbuilt advanced options in uTorrent preferences menu.

Open uTorrent or BitTorrent Client.
Navigate to Options > Preferences > Advanced.
Now search for upsell and click the string you get & make it "False"
Once again search for offer and you will find many strings, just check all the strings with the True value and make all those strings "False"
That's it now close uTorrent & restart your uTorrent to see all those advertisements vanished away.

So guys this was the easiest and most simple way to hide or remove all those spammy advertisements from uTorrent or BitTorrent client.

Automatically Tag all your Facebook Friends in any Status

Well tagging simply states that you are notifying your friend that something is really important for him or her and they should check that stuff out. Well normally you can tag anyone in any status update or images so that they can be notified but still the process of tagging really lacks many things and cannot be done pretty easily as it takes time to search for the friend and then tag him.

Well but wait I have found an easy way to fasten things up using simple javascript. Well using this script you can easily tag all your friends automatically in your status comments section by the @ tag linking. So they will be notified about whatever you have posted onto that status update.

Tagging all your Facebook Friends at Once

So now if you were searching for something like this then you are really at the right place, well just follow steps below and see how its done.

Open Facebook and post your normal status update.
Now after posting that status update we need to go to the direct URL of that post, well you can do that by clicking on the timestamp. (1 second ago)
Now you will be on the direct URL of that status update, so now just right click and choose Inspect Element.

Now you need to click on the Console tab and paste the JavaScript inside it provided below. (use the Ctrl + V key)

After pasting the javascript just press enter and see the magic of this script how it automatically fetches all your friends name and add them in the status comments section one by one, its really fast in matter of seconds your all friends will be added.
Now you might see a popup saying that the content is not accessible, but you do not need to worry as your work is done and you can refresh your page to see all the friends tagged correctly.

Now soon you will start receiving likes and your friends will start asking why you have tagged all your friends like this and how, well now that's a secret say as they cannot do that really fast.
