I am setting up a small business to go in to people's homes and scan all their old photo's onto digital media. Also converting things like old VHS tapes, vinyl music, restoring photo's etc but basically the core business is a home scanning service to protect and save their memories.

Something like homescan.com would have been nice lol but not available so need a really good idea ! :-)

Also thinking about things that are safe i.e. guardians, angels etc ? or things that are wise like owls etc.

I am starting a new website about how to create a website. Rather than an off-the-wall name, I need a name that is upfront and says what the site is about and one that contains keywords. I don't want a made up word, so you may put 2 or 3 words together.

I need the name to be less than 15 characters.

I came up with WebsiteSteps, however it was taken. I mentioned that to give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a domain name to represent our minimalistic design and development firm. We are web developers at heart and very good at seo (search engine optimization). The name should convey simplicity and preferably 2 or 3 syllables. Also, a domain name that has the word "web" would be nice (ie. _web.com) to help give a clearer indication of what we do. We are a consulting company that primarily specializes in network security (vulnerability assessment, penetration testing) and web development and design. The name can be associated with either of those service offerings, but really I don't want the name to pigeonhole us into a particular type of IT service. Just think simple and "techy".

Type of Name: Prefer something unique and professional. MORE like. Qualys, Cisco, Orchid and LESS like Yahoo, GeekSquad, Bugzilla. Made up words are fine.

Length of Name: Prefer two or three syllables. Shorter is obviously better, but we want an available domain name, too. Two syllable compounds are okay (e.g. - WireShark, FaceBook, GitHub). We don't want any boilerplate words tacked onto the name like technologies, tech, solutions, consulting, global, etc. We'd rather be known by our simple one word (or compound) name.

Distinctive Characteristics: We are a services company, but we may move into products down the road, probably software. For now, you can think of our service offerings as a jack of all trades IT consulting company. Our specialty is definitely network security, though, and trending towards Ruby on Rails development as well.

Target Audience: Small and medium sized businesses, almost exclusively. So the name needs to be memorable and very professional sounding. Have fun with the name, but don't make it too playful or goofy.

For sale domain names (if they can be verified for sale and not anything over a couple hundred dollars) are okay, but again we prefer something unique and available right now.

The perfect name will be very short and just a few syllables. Unique spellings or combinations of words to create new unique brand-able words/names would be best. We are a startup working on a mobile app and web product for the events around you. We provide a discovery experience for gigs, shows and meetups around you but also do all of the ticketing.

Our service will show you what's going on around you and let you buy a ticket in one click on your phone to scan at the venue or from your computer.

A company in a similar space is called 'Willcall' which sells concert tickets and 'Lanyrd' which focuses on Conferences and technology, names like this, which somewhat relate to what we do are great.

The name doesn't have to be short but needs to reflect what we do. Although we don't want too many syllables and it should not be generic. AKA not 'EventFindingService.com' but Eventup or playing on something within events, tickets, going out, experiences etc could be interesting.

Our target audience is quite wide but probably 16 - 24 at launch although it should not be targeted to teens in any way. It needs to be a .com

Other startup names we love are 'SoundCloud', 'Fitbit', 'Bandcamp' and 'GetAround'.

We're opening up a social enterprise to help deaf kids that are assisted with hearing aids or cochlear implants to learn how to develop verbal speech mainly using auditory verbal therapy (AVT) methods.

Our first project is a pre-school targeted at prelingual children (i.e. small children that are deaf before they acquire speech).

This center will be located at Malaysia. So the letter "MY" should be in the domain name. However, the online website audience is international. As such, only .COM TLD will be accepted. Preferably short and brandable.
