4 stars!
My previous vehicle was a Dodge SRT-4 which has a fairly well sorted suspension system. After 5 years of ownership and various tweaks to sway bars and bushings it handled quite sharply.
Moving to a 2009 Jetta TDI brought a softer suspension feel with a bit more body roll than I was accustomed to.
The installation of the APR Motorsport 27mm Rear Swaybar was just the improvement I was looking for. There is a reduction in body roll through corners. Turn in feels a bit quicker. And a bit of a reduction in Understeer or "Push".
Now don't get me wrong the Jetta is no Mini Cooper S, but it is now a much more enjoyable daily driver.
The only fault I could find was the welding on the bushing location washers. They were welded on the inboard side. This is where the poly bushings are located and made the installation a bit tougher than it had to be. And by the way, it was about a 40 minute job to put the car on ramps, unbolt the oem swaybar and install the APR swaybar. Just make sure you have the tripple square bit required for the VW bolts.
Overall I am very pleased with this product.

-- ROGER

1 stars!
Don't buy this particular one. The dip stick broke on mine after about 2 days. The stick is just glued onto the bottom of the top cap and over a 2 day period the hot vapors melted the glue and the dip stick fell into my catch tank. I thought it was only mine, but a friend of mine has the same exact one. He put it on a week after mine and 2 days later the same thing happened to him. Warranty is through BSH not NA Motorsports. BSH asked for a picture to prove that it was broken off.

-- WILLIAM

VF Engineering Stage 2 Front Mount Intercooler Kit for the MK V Volkswagen GTI and Jetta 2.0T

4 stars!
Let me begin by saying the product is very well made. The workmanship and engineering that went into the product are outstanding. I have no complaints with the product itself. The installation on the other hand is a different story.

The website says Requires NO cutting of the front bumper to fit, this is not entirely true. Maybe the bumper itself and the bumper cover dont requiring cutting, but the Styrofoam bumper requires a fair amount of modification to make it fit. Additionally, there are other parts of the car that must be relocated/modified for proper fitment; (1)The outside air temperature probe is in the way and must be relocated. (2)The driver side horn bracket must be modified so the cold-side pipe will fit. (3)There is a bracket underneath the car that must be modified to allow the throttle body pipe to be installed. (4)The passenger side front inner wheel well brake cooling scope hits the intercooler hot-side pipe. Finally, the installation instructions are minimal help, they should be updated to reflect the twin-intercooler setup vs. the old single intercooler.

Again, overall its a great product and I would highly recommend it. Just be aware there are modifications you must make to make it fit properly. Hence the reason I only gave it 4 stars.

5 stars!
Great results to-date. Quality of the lights and construction are superior. Install is PnP, but realistically a bit tough due to the space constraints of the Bimmer, so small hands or creative tools are a must. Still highly recommended!!!

-- JOSEPH
