But the more I have discovered about Jesus and the more I learn of His thoughts towards me, what once were deafening and defeating statements, are replaced by the Truth of God.

I’m calling on all my girlfriends to rise up and be a part of a revolution. That together, with one voice, the earth would hear us, as the sisterhood of God say, “yes, we can.”

Dare To Be is a call for women to stand and say “I am who God says that I am. I can be what God says I can be. I can do what God has asked me to do.” If we could begin to see what God sees when He looks at us, how would that change our lives, marriages, families, communities and the world?

When Jesus asked Peter to walk on the water, I’m betting there were many “I can’t” thoughts that initially crossed his mind. But because Peter dared to believe and trust, Jesus accomplished the impossible through his life. He wants to do the same through us. Jesus didn’t say, “I’m sorry, Peter, but water-walking is for Messiahs only.” No, he said one simple word: Come. God is daring us to do impossible things by faith.

This is what I am asking of you. Throughout the week, I want you, daughter of the King, to dare to believe & live 1 thing God has called you to be.

1. Write it on a piece of paper. Then sign your name.
2. Take a picture while holding the sign. Tweet or facebook the pic with the hashtag #daretobe
3. Live it out.

Revolutionary movement challenges women from all walks of life to be all that God has destined them to be.

Los Angeles, Calif. (February 17, 2012) – Dare To Be, a brand new live women’s event birthed from a realization of a dream from two close friends,  kicks off its 2012 spring tour in Oklahoma City, OK on April 12.

This revolutionary event features Nashville based four-time GMA Female Vocalist of the Year and 2012 GRAMMY nominee Natalie Grant, alongside international speaker and author Charlotte Gambill.  Grant and Gambill are embarking on this nationwide tour to dare women from all walks of life to aim higher, to stretch further – to trust.

“We want to provide a place where women can rediscover their God- given dreams,” says Grant. “We want to encourage women to go further than they ever thought possible; that right in the middle of their routine, God wants to shake things up. And right in the middle of hardship, God is providing the fuel for us to do more than just survive; He’s calling us all to thrive. No newcomer to the Christian arena, Grant’s work has gained international acclaim, including four consecutive Dove Awards for Female Vocalist of the year. She is married to producer Bernie Herms and they have three children Grace Ana, Isabella Noelle and Sadie Rose. Gambill is an international speaker and author, best known for her practical and passionate application of God’s word. Her messages of life and purpose are rallying a generation to embrace the broken and become ambassadors of hope. Gambill helps lead Abundant Life Church in England. She and her husband Steve have two children, Hope Cherish and Noah Brave.

For the first years of their friendship, Grant and Gambill ministered together on several occasions in the UK and USA. Complete strangers at first, God instantly knit their lives together. Now six year later, they are the closest friends and are excited to be walking out a purpose that God united them for.

Presented by Hello Somebody and sponsored by Regent University, the Dare To Be nationwide events will highlight Grant and Gambill’s unique American, English combination. Each evening will feature Grant’s musical talent and Gambill’s powerful speaking, bringing to life a practical interpretation of God’s word that remains alive for our everyday challenges.

So I was looking up the definition of Valentine and I liked this one:

Valentine = A gift sent as a token of love

So I’m asking you – will you be my Valentine?

Since February is the month of “love” I’m hoping you will show me the love by helping me reach my goal. On February 26, I will be running in the Disney Princess half marathon. Myself, as well as a team of over 150 girlfriends, will be running for those who are enslaved in human trafficking. We will run for freedom. You may not be lacing up your shoes and running along side me, but you can still be on my team.

The 21st Anniversary Covenant House Candlelight Vigil in Times Square, sponsored by Aviva USA life and annuity company, also will feature the first-ever Covenant House CEO Solidarity Sleepout. Following the Nov. 17 vigil in Times Square, more than 40 influential leaders will be sleeping out in the shadow of the Covenant House New York Crisis Shelter in solidarity with homeless youth.

“On Nov. 17 and 18, we are going to transform Times Square and our crisis shelter into centers of hope and solidarity for homeless youth,” said Covenant House President Kevin Ryan. “Natalie Grant will light up Times Square with an inspirational performance. After the vigil, we will march back to our crisis shelter with 300 of our homeless kids and a generous group of CEOs and business leaders will sleep in cardboard boxes outside our crisis shelter.

“These leaders have selflessly decided they want to walk in our kids’ shoes and experience, if only for one night, some of what our kids go through,” said Ryan. “We will sleep out to show our support and to raise awareness that thousands of young people are struggling to survive every night on our streets.”

The vigil in Times Square begins at 6 p.m. and will feature Grant, Gospel Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year for four consecutive years (2006-2009) and the top-selling adult contemporary female solo artist in 2005, 2006 and 2008. Grant is also an outspoken advocate for victims of human trafficking. Abolition International, which Grant created in 2005, has raised a significant amount of funds and awareness to fight the trafficking of women and children for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

“We are honored to have Natalie share her incredible talent with us in Times Square,” said Ryan. “Her songs are inspirational, and she has dedicated her life to raising money and awareness for child victims of trafficking around the world.” The vigil also will feature homeless youth from Covenant House, who will share stories of their journey through homelessness to independence.

Following the vigil, Covenant House will host the CEO Solidarity Sleepout on the concrete near the shelter at 460 West 41st St. with high-ranking executives hoping to improve this corner of the world. “No one can do this work alone, so we appreciate Aviva USA sponsoring this vigil, which will help thousands of kids in the years to come,” said Ryan. “Our friends at ABC, NASDAQ, Reuters, and Toshiba are donating their screens for the evening in Times Square to shine a light on the problems our kids face. And, of course, the business leaders who are leaving their homes to sleep in solidarity with our kids are showing a commitment and love for our kids that will make a tremendous impact. It is all of us working together that will save more lives and give a voice to the thousands of homeless kids who are alone on the streets.”
