While still on the topic of spending time with my family, last week I watched a film that was an all too stark reminder to do so.

What is 23 seconds to you? For some, a mere 23 seconds changed their lives for 32 years.

The Tangshan Earthquake on 28th July, 1976 devastated the lives of many. Some were fortunate to have died, but for the survivors, the horror of that fateful day accompanied them for the rest of their lives.

An Epic story of Love, Guilt, and ultimately, Family, trace the stories of a Mother, Son and Daughter as they cope with the Aftershock of the Tangshan Earthquake, as well as the decisions they made as a direct result of that life-changing experience.

Some memories can never be erased.

A must-watch. But please, bring along some tissue paper.

Family will always be Family.

Helping is one thing.

Implicating your loved ones in doing so is another.

To Help, or to Protect? Both are fundamentally good and noble.

How then, does it become a negative?

Maybe you might think me selfish, but I really just want to be left out of this.

When someone throws the Selfish card, always remember that a person's Happiness is sometimes at the expense of their Loved Ones' Happiness. How long more do I have to give up mine for yours?

Love from a Feline Perspective

Whoever said animals don't have feelings should watch this.

Background info: This stray cat was filmed in Turkey( Kızılsaray district of Antalya ) trying to reanimate his female friend who got hit by a car. Even though some people tried to help him, the white cat wouldn't let them come near for two straight hours. Finally a vet arrived and took the injured cat. Sadly, it was too late and he couldn't resuscitate the feline.
