The moods of the morning are very soothing, very energetic, very calm and very interesting. The morning is the only time when we can decide how to have our day and thus get the day as per our choice that is "good" or "bad". It all depends on you. You are the one who decide how to progress and advance in your life and get the life you want.

The mood I had while taking this photograph was that I wanted to show how the sunrise in the morning unfolds the nature before you just like the life. The god also unfolds the life before us in steps and slowly yet without any delay. The thing I wanted to capture was the surprise, the beauty, the determination of overcoming the past and start afresh.

Home sweet home - baya weaver in its habitat

I specially love this photograph of baya weaver, the way nature gives us the colours, contrast, and photo opportunity is simply amazing. The green colour in this image is so much soothing and the small part of yellow colour placed over the green background is what I feel made it special. The bird is very beautiful and is a delight to watch it live in its habitat.
The male constructs the nest and the female inspects it, if she finds it okay then its go or else face the action and "go... build me another one" reaction from the female, so birds are also no exception to this phenomenon... hahahaha..
I hope you love this image too... comments and suggestions always welcome.

Posting after a long time.. I was really lucky to capture this bird while in air and hovering all over. The conditions were just perfect. I was dreaming to capture this bird in my photo collections and finally was able to do so. Really a beautiful bird.

Hi !!!
A post on occasion of monsoon, its monsoon here in India and its green everywhere, hence tried to capture the essence of the monsoon in this picture.. hope that I am able to convey the same..
Its a plant grown out of a wall cavity surrounded by algae which we feel really useless and dont pay attention to it but when I shot the image it really made a good picture.

Hello everyone... posting a new bird picture after a long time. To capture this bird I was quite lucky to be so close and had a 70-300mm nikon VR thus got the bird very clear and because of the rainy season here in India the background is also very interesting. A very beautiful bird indeed and perching in a wonderful pose.
I would surely like to here from you any comments, suggestions.. Hope you like the post.

The Indian Silverbill or White-throated Munia (Lonchura malabarica) is a small passerine bird found in the Indian Subcontinent and andjoining regions that was formerly considered to include the closely related African Silverbill (Lonchura cantans). This estrildid finch is a common resident breeding bird in the drier regions of the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. It has also been introduced into many other parts of the world and has become established in some areas. They forage in small flocks in grassland and scrub habitats.

The Verditer Flycatcher (Eumyias thalassinus) is an Old World flycatcher found in the Indian subcontinent, especially in the Lower Himalaya. It is named after its distinctive shade of copper-sulphate blue and has a dark patch between the eyes and above the bill base. The adult males are intense blue on all areas of the body, except for the black eye-patch and grey vent. Adult females and sub-adults are lighter blue. They are also interesting among the flycatchers in that they forage above the canopy level and perching on electric wires or exposed tree top branches.

The Plum-headed Parakeet (Psittacula cyanocephala) is a parakeet endemic to the Indian Subcontinent. Along with Psittacula roseata of the Himalayas it was sometimes known by the name of Blossom-headed Parakeet which is now used to refer only to Psittacula roseata. Plum-headed Parakeets are found in flocks, the males having a pinkish purple head and the females, a grey head. They fly swiftly with twists and turns accompanied by their distinctive calls.

The Kingfisher

This is the image of a Common Kingfisher. Shot this image using a Nikon D5100 DSLR and Nikkor 70-300mm VR lens at 300 mm.
The photo is cropped a bit to enhance the frame.
My experience with kingfisher bird till now is that they are very much shy species and get alert by any of our activity but that day this bird didn't fly and allowed me to shoot from as near as I wanted.
Hence I was able to shoot this beautiful bird from close distance. Also it was its lunch time and he was sitting besides a water body to do his fishing in which he is a King.

Hello everyone...
Say hi to this royal animal..
This is a tigress from the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India.
This tigress was spotted by us and followed our jeep for nearly 15 min without any other vehicle's interruption. The walk was royal, we all felt it, seen it, experienced it.
The moment was awesome cannot be said in words. So, how is she?? Isn't she beautiful??

Beautiful Oil Lamps - India - Diwali Festival

This picture was taken on the day of Diwali festival.

Deepawali means Rows of lamps. i.e.

Deep = Light, Awali = Row.

Hence Deepawali is also called as the "Festival of Lights".

During this festival in India we all light our homes with lights of different shades and colours, to remove darkness and welcome Godess Laxmi i.e God of Wealth.

The atmosphere was so mesmerizing that I was not able to stop myself taking this picture.
This jungle always amazes me and whenever I visit this place I am encountered with a special species then let it be Tiger, Osprey.

The Purple Moorhen - Purple Swamphen (Porphyrio porphyrio), also known as the Pūkeko, African Purple Swamphen, Purple Moorhen, Purple Gallinule or Purple Coot, is a large bird in the family Rallidae (rails). From its name in French, talève sultane, it is also known as the Sultana Bird. This chicken-sized bird, with its huge feet, bright plumage and red bill and frontal shield is easily-recognisable in its native range. It should not be confused with the American Purple Gallinule, Porphyrio martinica.

Red Avadavat - Red Munia

The Red Avadavat, Red Munia or Strawberry Finch (Amandava amandava) is a sparrow-sized bird of the Estrildidae family. It is found in the open fields and grasslands of tropical Asia and is popular as a cage bird due to the colourful plumage of the males in their breeding season. It breeds in the Indian Subcontinent in the Monsoon season. The species name of amandava and the common name of avadavat are derived from the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat from where these birds were exported into the pet trade in former times.

I got to click it in Nagpur at the Ambazari lake backwaters. This bird is constantly moving and notices even a small movement made by us and flies way... so at the end a good catch... till then...
