Terribly Sorry for not being active lately, I promise to be back full force in September. I was busy with various projects and home renovations. One of these great project is, me getting involve with Stranger in the Night 8, A Great Charity

event taking place this weekend. I will be donating one of my fine art frame for auction for the Starlight Children’s Foundation: Most of us are physically healthy and able to enjoy and participate in many activities like sporting and cultural events, parties and family gatherings. Now imagine how different those experiences might be if you were challenged with a serious illness. You might be confined to a hospital bed, separated from friends and family. You might be slowed by crutches or a wheelchair. You might spend lonely nights with little to take your mind off the pain.

Starlight Children’s Foundation tries to take away some of that pain. Since 1989, Starlight Children’s Foundation has enhanced the lives of countless children and their families across Canada. By granting wishes, providing state-of-the-art Fun Centers for audiovisual entertainment in pediatric hospitals, as well as the Hospital Happenings program offering great parties, shows, activity kits and crafts to young patients, and the Great Escapes program inviting children and their families to unique monthly outings, over 21,000 children now benefit from the Foundation’s services in Canada each month, with over 5,000 in Quebec. Services are provided for children with serious, chronic or life threatening illnesses, aged 4 – 18 years. The Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada has chapters in Montreal and Toronto, as well as expansion committees in Vancouver and Ottawa. The Starlight international headquarters are located in Los Angeles. Stephen Spielberg is President Emeritus of Starlight Children’s Foundation. With Starlight chapters worldwide, in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and Canada, we brighten the lives of over 85,000 sick children every month.

Another shot taken from my recent trip in the beautiful Faroe Islands. One thing that one must learn when visiting such a place, is to be able to adapt quickly to the ever changing weather conditions. There is a saying that both icelandic and Faroese people have adopted and it goes like this….” If you don’t like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it will change” having visited both countries I can honest say that there is definite truth to that saying. Here I had to adapt to windy and rainy conditions in order to capture this shot. Constantly having to wipe raindrops from my lens and large filters while making sure my light Gitzo tripod wouldn’t tip over because of the strong winds made capturing this shot very challenging. I have several shot that I had to get rid of because of that but very happy to have managed to capture this one.

Tech Spec: Canon 5D MK II, Nikon 14-24 F2.8, F18, 3sec, LEE SW150 Filter Holder, 0.9 (3 Stop) Soft ND Grad, Cavision 6×6 Linear Glass Polarizer and a lot of patience.

This is my first release from my recent trip to the beautiful Faroe Islands. Situated in the heart of the Gulf Stream in the North Atlantic at 62°00’N, the Faroe Islands lie northwest of Scotland and halfway between Iceland and Norway. The archipelago is composed of 18 islands covering 1399 km2 and is 113 km long and 75 km wide, roughly in the shape of an arrowhead. I highly recommend this incredible location to all photographers and nature lovers..The weather constantly changes and creates some pretty amazing light perfect to capture dramatic images like this one. Again, I would like to say a big thank you to Súsanna Sørensen from the Faroe tourist board for making this trip a very pleasant one. This is a shot I took on my recent road trip across Quebec. I was with a friend of mine and we were looking for a place to shoot sunset that night. I had spotted this great location while driving and told him we should head back. He wasn’t that crazy about that particular spot and even decided to drop me off to find a better place. Man, was I glad I stopped…that place was simply amazing. Didn’t see what he managed to take that evening, I sure hope he was as fortunate as me.

As for the title..As I was post processing that image..that song from Def Leppard played on the radio… Why Not..Perfect Title…Coincidence???
