Katherine MacBay as Race Director has been busily planning the event and now needs our help. Some 40 volunteers are needed to put off this race so please

VISIT HERE TO SIGN UP FOR A JOB NOW.

Our second event is the May 13 Harbour Front 10K under the leadership of Don Fagan and details for that race will follow soon. After that it's clear sailing until September when we host the Provincial 5K (Donna Warren) and the Huffin Puffin (Fabien Basset).

Remember that we keep our membership fees low ... very low ... and only ask that you help out with a race or 2 or 3 or 4 throughout the season.

NLAA Races and Membership

The 2012 NLAA Road Race Calendar has now been finalized and we are listed for our 4 usual races. Thanks to our brand new slate of Race Directors including Katherine MacBay for the Mundy Pond 5K, Don Fagan for the Harbour Front 10K, and Donna Warren for the Provincial 5K. Note we still need a leader for the Huffin Puffin.

As you all know membership in Nautilus is absolutely FREE with the only conditions being that you help out where you can with any or all of our races, and run with the group whenever possible. We also encourage all members to take membership in the NLAA ... it's only $25 for the year and your membership demonstrates our support for the organization. Without the NLAA we would have no road races!!

Be sure to list "Nautilus Running Club" as your "NLAA Affiliated Club" when you register ... this will show our strength as a club in both membership and race results, and give us a strong voice with the NLAA.

2012 NLAA Membership renewal is now available. You can access the pdf form HERE ... simply complete the form, print, sign and pop it in the mail with your payment.

Boxing Day Crew

Registration for the Blueberry 10K is tonight at the Running Room from 5-8pm, and we still have a couple of spots left in "The Shed" if you're not signed up and want to join in.

Holiday Run Labour Day

In our usual fashion we will take advantage of the holiday next Monday September 5 and run at 2pm from the Aquarena.

Huffin Puffin Volunteers

The Nautilus Huffin Puffin Marathon, Half Marathon and Team Relay is just a month away on Sunday September 25.

We need <strike>65</strike> 85 volunteers to pull off this race so please raise your hand to help out. Appreciating that a 6-7 hour commitment is huge, we have broken the volunteer assignments into first half and second half time blocks. Of course your commitment for the full event will make things much easier on the organizers!
