Predictions Announcement

As coaches are recently having fun with playing times and rotation, it should be a better action to suspend daily score predictions (http://www.nbastuffer.com/Score_Predictions.html) until the Playoffs. We have to proudly say that 2008-2009 regular season was fantastic for the prediction model (http://www.nbastuffer.com/About_the_NBAstuffer.com.html) which ended up finishing the season with a .717 pct. of winner prediction accuracy. You can follow the results on prediction archive (http://www.nbastuffer.com/2008-2009_Regular_Season_Prediction_Archive.html)
Take care and don't forget to check back in on April 18th! All of the stats pages will be updated on a daily manner without a hiatus.

Underachievers and Overachievers in the NBA

I've added one more feature to the 2008-2009 regular season's stat table (http://www.nbastuffer.com/2008-2009_Regular_Season_NBA_Stats.html). What team do you think have overachieved most so far? If you would like to learn, just head to the stat page (http://www.nbastuffer.com/2008-2009_Regular_Season_NBA_Stats.html) and sort "Ach." column!

Well, Detroit should have won fewer games than their level of effort on the court indicates. In other words, the Pistons have been able to win close games that helped them end up having a better W/L record.

Don't blame the Wizards for the worst start. They are the most underachieved team at the moment. Washington should have won almost 3 games more so that they could have a 0.290 pct instead of 0.194 W/L pct.
Charlotte (3-10) should have won more games on the road while the Nets (10-6) got some lucky wins when playing away from home.
The Indiana Pacers (7-9) are the most underachieved team at home and the Pistons (12-5) have been able to win 3-4 extra games at the Palace.

Sortable NBA Efficiency and Referee Stats Are Up!

Check out the stat pages, here (http://www.nbastuffer.com/2008-2009_Regular_Season_NBA_Stats.html) and here (http://www.nbastuffer.com/2008-2009_NBA_Referee_Stats.html). All stats are sortable!

Use the handy table for majorly known stats along with possession based offensive, defensive efficiency. It also includes efficiency differentials (http://www.nbastuffer.com/component/option,com_glossary/Itemid,90/catid,41/func,view/term,Efficiency%20Differential/) and a new consistency metric based on each team's game-by-game efficiency differential. For those of you who are not familiar with these metrics, take a look at "Analytics 101 (http://www.nbastuffer.com/component/option,com_glossary/Itemid,90/)"s team evaluation metrics (http://www.nbastuffer.com/component/option,com_glossary/func,display/Itemid,90/catid,41/). Besides, you can find the road / home splits that makes sense in case you are just not looking for season's aggregated stats. More to come soon.

In the referee stats page (http://www.nbastuffer.com/2008-2009_NBA_Referee_Stats.html), NBA referees are seperated into two types: main referees and and the rest of officiating crew. Point totals scored in the game, home teams' W/L percentages and point differentials are some of the stuff which I think will we very helpful to evaluate referees.
