The second-seeded Fowler was one up after Paladino bogeyed the par-4 1st hole. Three holes later, Paladino squared the match when he pared and Fowler bogeyed the par-4 4th. However, Fowler rebounded on the ensuing par-3 5th to go up by one. Paladino would stay within striking distance until the 13th when he cut Fowler's lead to two holes. Fowler answered by winning the 14th and 15th holes to win the match 4 and 3.</description>
