The ND Technology Forum is happy to host Notre Dame alum Dr. Kelly Truman, Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Business Development at Solyndra, one of the leading renewable energy companies in Silicon Valley. In March, Solyndra was offered a $535 million loan guarantee from the US Department of Energy to support the construction of a commercial-scale manufacturing plant for its proprietary cylindrical solar photovoltaic panels. Dr. Truman will talk to us about renewable energy and some of the trends that are emerging in this industry. He will also share his experiences in building a start-up in this sector and how Solyndra is working to reshape the solar industry. Come see how your tax dollars are being put to work!

Background on Solydndra, Inc. (www.solyndra.com)

Solyndra designs and manufactures photovoltaic systems, comprised of panels and mounting hardware, for the commercial rooftop market.
