I have just been cast as the Bear Prince in Looking Glass Theatre’s production of East of the Sun, West of the Moon, a children’s theatre show written by Frankie Little Hardin. The show will run in May and June of this year at The Richmond Shepard Theatre on 26th Street and 2nd Avenue in Manhattan. It is directed by Julia Martin and Naima Warden. I am very excited and can’t wait to get started.

Happy? – Best Play Award

Exciting news! Recently, I was in Happy? at The Players Theatre Festival, and it won the Best Play Award for the week in which it ran. Congratulations to Bill Morton (he wrote it), Michael Goldburg (he directed it), and Morgan Wright (she was in it with me). It was a ton of fun, and I can’t wait to work with them again.

The Players Theatre Festival

I’m very excited to announce that I will be performing in two new Off Off Broadway plays at The Players Theatre, running in February, Happy? and 4Play,* at their annual Short Play Festival in the Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre. Both plays are very exciting and different and I can’t wait to get into rehearsals. If you’re around, I hope you can make it out to see them. *Unfortunately, 4Play was canceled for this festival. I am hoping that it will be mounted in the future.

A True History (Staged Reading)

Louis Butelli of Psittacus Productions has asked me to join them for another production of A True History by Chas LiBretto. This production will be a staged reading in New York City on December 19th at 4pm at the Vineyard Theatre (click here for directions: 108 East 15th Street New York, NY 10003).

I’m very flattered and excited that Louis has asked me to be a part of this exciting, hilarious, and entertaining show once again. There are a limited number of seats available, so please let me know if you want to come. I hope you’ll be able to make it out.

Celebrity Ghost Stories

I am very excited to announce that I’ll be making my television debut on a show called Celebrity Ghost Stories on the Biography Channel. I will play the younger version of a celebrity recounting a paranormal event that happened to him years ago. The episode shoots in early December and will air on the Bio Channel sometime in 2013, and it should be available online as well. I will post a link on my site as soon as it’s available. Can’t wait to get started and very excited to make my TV debut.

Weekend Warriors

I am currently in production for a new web series entitled Weekend Warriors, written and produced by a team of graduate students at NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts. The series is a comedy following three guys and their exploits. I play Phil, along with Stephen Hill as Charles, and Colin Whitlow as Harv. Very excited to be working with such a talented team of people on a very funny script. The series should air online in the next few months.

I will be playing the character Phillip in a short film entitled Hot Date directed by Chase Busto at The New School. Filming begins later this month and continues into early December. Can’t wait to get started!

Capture Sports

I will be in a promotional video for Capture Sports, a company producing a new iPhone app for, well, capturing sports. It shoots next week, and I’m very excited to be a part of it. I’ll link to the video as soon as they post it. In the meantime, here is a previous spot they did for the app.

Open School Night – Best Play Award

I just wanted to say thank you, again, to everyone that came to the show this past weekend. It was a wonderful experience, and I had a great time on my first show in New York, working with great people in a surreal environment.

What made the experience even more memorable, though, is that our show won Best Play at the festival! Each night, after the run, the audience voted on their favorite, and we won both nights. It was very flattering and a great way to end the run. Of course, I’m sad it’s over, but I’m very excited and looking forward to whatever is next.

Open School Night

I had my first audition in New York City last night. And I got the part. I’m beyond excited. I play the character Cyril in a one-act play called Open School Night by Rudy Gray, at the Roy Arias Studios, an Off Off Broadway playhouse located at 300 W 43rd St, Suite 506, on Stage 2.

The show is directed by Christen Omantra and will run for the weekend of October 27th and 28th. On Saturday the 27th, the portion of the production in which our show will run (Program B), will begin at 9pm, and on Sunday the 28th, it will begin at 2pm.

It’s a short rehearsal and run period, so I hope you’ll be able to make it out. I’m incredibly excited and can’t wait to get started!

All tickets are $20 and can be purchased at smartTix.com or by calling 212-868-4444. I highly recommend getting your ticket early, as the theatre has very limited seating (about 50 seats!). I hope to see you there!
