Are you fond of watching movies? If yes, what movies do you prefer? I bet it depends on your mood on a certain day. What about movies with some tricks? Some people love to try this kind of game. I have been watching lately the films where bet on sports are the highlights of the movie. I've tried once betting in a boxing sports but it was another kind of thing. Although, this is sometimes addicting, you surely will find yourself enjoying it and you won't even take notice of the time and the amount of money you have invested.

Some people love playing online games. Oh well, they enjoyed it that much and get addicted into it. I must admit my online world consumed much of my time and sometimes I want to try playing games too. Perfectly Failed

Posted here are photos taken inside Fort Santiago when we visited last December 30, Rizal Day. Almost a perfect day with perfectly failed photos at the park.

With one hand holding my 3-year old nephew and the other hand with a camera, it's quite impossible to take a perfect shot.

Posed for a wrong group and a wrong camera. It could have been my nephew's perfect smile if he only posed in the right lens of camera. lol

Could've been a perfect day with perfect shoes to walk in the park. It has already served its purpose. Let my sandals put to rest.

The souvenir items at the Rizal Shrine just saved my day. Ain't my outfit perfect for Rizal era? My blue polish and my new blue slipper. What a perfect match. Lol

JM de Guzman truly deserved the award, "Best New Wave Actor." I've been watching "Angelito," where he leads this afternnon tele-drama and I could say that he really is a good actor who acts naturally in front of camera. It was my first time to attend the Metro Manila Film Festival awards night last week so I was excited and took all the photos I could get of some known showbiz personalities especially JM de Guzman for my nieces who are a big fan of this young promising actor. Congratulations JM de Guzman !

Victims of Sendong Need Your Help

I am deeply saddened. Few days before Christmas, a tragedy happened in some areas in Mindanao. Watching the footages and photos of the victims really break my heart. I can't bear to look at the pictures. Most of them were children drowned in a muddy water. I only got the news online and other information from the updates of my co-bloggers about the total damage and the devastation left by the tropical storm. I guess most of the victims were unprepared. It's the first time in the history because the area is seldom visited by the storm. The flash flood came like a thief in the night. It was fast, scary, a real nightmare. Some of the victims were my co-PMC member who lost their properties and even businesses. They climbed to the roof of the house and others evacuated to a two-storey building to survive. Sendong reminds me of Ondoy, scary!

7 Photos You Shouldn't Post Online if You Lied to Your Life Insurance Company

Not much is to be kept private nowadays, especially when you make the choice to broadcast your life on Facebook, Twitter, or other social media sites and blogs. The reality is, that everyone can access private information about you at any time, whether you have "friended" them or not. Since social media sites are relatively new, there is much to be learned about what is appropriate information to flaunt, and what might be best kept among close friends and family. Kids aren't the only ones getting into trouble over Facebook. Adults, too, are now finding that companies can find out personal information easily, and use it against them.

Life insurance companies are an example of an agency that might be interested in someone's "status." Yes, they are checking up on clients to make sure the lives they are living match with the coverage they are paying for. Life insurance companies will notice those pictures of ski racing down a mountain, running a marathon, or perhaps you posted for weeks on end about your health problems. Buyers beware, and think twice before posting something that could damage the cheap life insurance rates you're paying now.

Extreme Sports

Unless you have notified your life insurance company about your tendency to participate in dangerous adventures, do not post pictures of anything potentially dangerous. Skydiving, whitewater rafting, hang gliding, or any other life-threatening activity might be considered dangerous by your life insurance company, causing them to up your rates.

Medical Procedures

Avoid posting pictures of any medical procedures that would put you in a higher-risk category.

Photos Showing Weight Gained

Life insurance will cost more if you are obese. If you lied about your weight, or gained a substantial amount of weight since obtaining your policy, do not post pictures that prove this.

Cigarettes

Smokers also pay more for life insurance. Maybe you only smoke occasionally, or tend to quit and take it up again on a regular basis. When you signed up for life insurance, you were sure you were done for good. And then you weren't. Do not post pictures of yourself holding a cigarette for your life insurance company to find.

General Poor Health

Any pictures that paint a scene of general poor health, partying, or other unsafe behavior should also not be posted. If you have a series of pictured posted that paint you as someone who is engages in unhealthy or risky behaviors on a regular basis, this does not bode well for you or your reputation.

Occupation-Related Photos

If you changed to a high-risk career after filling out a life insurance application, such as police officer, fire fighter, construction worker, or other dangerous type jobs, avoid posting pictures of yourself hard at work.

November 7 Declared as a Regular Holiday

According to Yahoo News, Malacanang has declared November 7 a regular holiday for the important Muslim religious holiday Eid'l Adha.

It will be two consecutive long weekends to happen this November. October 31st and November 1 were declared as special non-working holidays which will fall on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

What to do when asthma attacks?

Below are some helpful tips and items that can help when asthma attacks.

My 13-year old daughter has been suffering from asthma since she was a little kid. She was confined twice in the hospital when she was young because of this condition.

Malunggay tea ( Moringa Oleifera) is a natural medicine for asthma. Although I haven't tried this yet for my older daughter, many attested that it works good among people who are suffering from asthma.

Nebulizer. Daughter uses this kind of treatment as prescribed by her doctor whenever breathing becomes difficult for her. She uses nebulizer at least four times a day or every two hours when needed.

Rota haler. She always carry this in her bag especially when asthma shows signs, ready to attack anytime. It is very convenient as it only needs one inhaling time and takes only a few seconds to finish.

Most people with asthma already know what to do as it shows symptoms first before it occurs. In my daughter's case, the sudden change of weather, polen, dust and warm weather easily lead her to a series of attacks. When the weather is too hot to bear, she stays indoor and switch the air conditioner into high cool when possible to make her breathing at ease. Having a 13-year old daughter with asthma, I already know how to manage and deal with it properly. Steroid was given to her once or twice when her wheezing was so bad. The doctor explained to me the many side effects using this kind of treatment.

People with asthma can live a normal life too. Just avoid everything that will trigger the asthma. It can be fatal if the condition is severe and when the proper medication is not given to the patient.

It isn't true that asthma stops when a kid reaches seven or when he/she becomes an adult. Maybe, attacks will be lessened but it is a kind of allergy that keeps coming back over and over again. The best cure is to prevent it to happen and keep away from things that will trigger the attack.

Pedring, Quiel and Ramon are just not very good in choosing the date to visit the country. While Pedring just exited, Quiel thought all the way that there is still a dam left for him to fill up. Far from his thought, all the dams in Northern Luzon already reached their spilling level. I only wish that Ramon will visit when the soil is totally dried up or at least few weeks time to recover and when the soil is ready to absorb the rain water again.

Comida China de Manila, formerly known as Panciteria San Jacinto-Pasig and the metro’s favourite blow-out and celebration place, threw a victory party for the University of the Philippines Varsity Pep Squad recently.

Fresh from their triple victory in the recently held 2011 Samsung UAAP Cheerdance Competition, the UP Pep arrived 100-strong at the restaurant serving traditional Chinatown food, still sporting their sensational platinum blonde hair and peppy attitude.

The “UP Pep” was accompanied at the dinner by UP College of Human Kinetics Dean Leilani Gonzalo, former Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs Grace Gregorio, head coach Lalaine (Coach Lala) Pereña and assistant coaches NJ Antonio and Pio Niño Opinaldo.
The UP Pep won first place in the prestigious Samsung Cheerdance Competition on September 17 in back-to-back fashion, now bringing their title total to 7, just one crown away from the University of Santo Tomas with 8. At the same competition, the UP Pep Squad took home all the other awards to be won : the first crown of the inaugural Samsung Group Stunts Competition and the Samsung Stunner of the Day title, care of “blonde” looker Nezsa Salvador.

The platinum blonde look was the peg for the Pep Squad’s Madonna-inspired number that was “crisp, athletic and creative, with trademark throws and athletic moves” that was pure UP Pep Squad.
Comida China, (owned by the Torres Family who also run Mom and Tina Bakery Cafe and the Red Rickshaw in San Fernando, Pampanga), pulled off all the stops in paying tribute to the back-to-back champs. “Such a significant achievement deserves to be celebrated with a full-course Chinese lauriat,” said Comida China de Manila president Benny V. Torres.

“We always strive for excellence in our food and service, that is why we salute the excellence that the UP Pep Squad showed in their performance last Saturday. Their commitment and discipline inspires us to always do our best in all that we do. We are happy to honor them with this dinner, as they honor us here with their presence,” said Benny Torres, who said the tradition of celebrating triumphs and victories invites more triumphs and victories.
After some sampling of cheers and lifts for the benefit of the media present, the UP Pep thanked everyone for their support and pledged to come back next year with something better than their best. They also invited everyone to support them in their next adventure : the 6th Cheerleading World Championship in Hong Kong on November 26-27 where the UP Pep Squad hopes to bring honor not just to UP but to the entire country.

“We hope the event will help introduce and recognize the Philippines more in international cheerleading events and showcase our Filipino cheerleaders as well. It is truly an honor for us to be part of the very first Philippine cheering squad to represent our country in a world cheerleading event,” Coach Lala said.

I am thinking of selling my semi-pro camera online and advertise it in a website for online auction. Typhoon Pedring Lashes Luzon

Suspension of classes were earlier announced last night from Prep to High School. College level and government offices were also suspended today.

Update: Residents near Marikina river were being evacuated as it reached the critical level. Guest at Hotel Sofitel near Manila Bay were also evacuated. Manila Bay sea wall were damaged. Giant waves as high as coconut trees occurred in the Manila Bay area. Dikes in Bulacan and Valenzuela were also breached. Other areas in Metro Manila were flooded. Meanwhile Roxas Boulevard is impassable while US Embassy and other offices were closed today due to waist deep flood.
