(with spoilers and otome game references)

Fruitage inc logo at back looks familiar :P

Voltage inc (ボルテージ) is one of the sponsors

Well, it was only used as the background setting for Aki's workplace but man... I play (read?) the things produced by the real company it was based on. But they didn't mention much of their games. All I saw were characters from:

天下統一恋の乱 Love Ballad [Samurai Love Ballad: PARTY] (Nobunaga)

スイートルームで悪戯なキス Love Trap [the non-SNS version is Kissed by the Baddest Bidder] (Eisuke)

...and characters from 上司と秘密の2LDK [Our Two Bedroom Story | edit 31.Mar.2016: Recently, they released an SNS version of this as 上司と秘密の2LDK Love Happening].

And because of that I can't help it... I watched the entire dorama unfolding as if I play a route from their game. So I'm afraid there will be a lot of references to Voltage inc games in this review.

There are several boyfriend candidates for Aki although I only had my eyes on one since episode 1. If this is an otome game, you can easily see that they all can be expanded as playable routes. The snarky and rude scriptwriter, Takayama. The cheating ex-boyfriend, Shinji (but I won't want this be an option because he's a cheater). The flirty and charming boss, Kurita. The young and energetic subordinate (& obviously in love with Aki), Ryosuke. Last but not least, the mature workaholic (which I can imagine a route that I might regret purchasing because he's kind of boring :P), Ikeda.

Overall, it's a nice dorama. Though you won't find me recommending this so hard to anyone. It's all about romance for アラフォー Arafou [Around Forty] women. Besides Aki, we have her two other best friends: Moeko, who is single but stuck with an overprotective(?) mother & Midori, a single mother with 3 sons. Moeko will be involved with Kurita later while Midori with one of her sons' teacher. Spoiler: they got normal ends.

Was hoping that Moeko will be "the one" for the playboy Kurita but he (I guess that was supposed to be his inner issues like most otome game guys have) had issues with her mother. The younger Sawada-sensei is interested in Midori & alas... the dorama went on to remind us that it doesn't deal with love the "I'll follow my own feelings" way. It's kinda realistic in a way I guess. Like Aki, Moeko & Midori are strong women. I like Moeko's spirit. She isn't afraid to talk back to the younger women who dated (or dating?) Kurita. I think her decision to live separately from her mother in the end showed her character's growth. Midori chose family over romance... for now. I can just imagine her accepting the sensei later after her son graduated from school.

Saito Takumi's cameo as Aki's boyfriend at the beginning was great. They showed that almost everything was fine between them (but it should've been a bad sign if Aki had to lie about her eating habits). They supported each other very closely. Seeing the pleasant beginning made seeing the cheating scene more heartbreaking for me. It's hard for me to re-watch the first episode because of that. When I think back about it after seeing the ending, Aki really acted very mature - she was very cool. It irritates me when her colleagues made fun of her age & she was there to overhear them. Oh gosh just thinking about it makes me boil in rage. One of them even had the nerve to ruin Aki's reputation! Aki should've sued her for defamation of character! And here we reach one of her traits that I find is a disadvantage: Aki is too kind. Too soft to teach someone a hard lesson. *sigh*

I'm so glad she reached her happy ending. I guess all the experiences she had since episode 1 was necessary for her to realise who is better for her/pick her guy better (can be seen from the scene where Ikeda tried to approach her again & also when he hug her to comfort her). I like the light banters she had with Takayama. They had this silent chemistry about them. It was gradual (I think this is what people call slow romance in jdorama?) although it felt a tiny bit awkward (BUT cute!) when Takayama was straight in his advances. If he's one of the Voltage men, he would be the mysterious eccentric-ish writer that Main Character (MC) was annoyed with at first meeting... The thing lacking here is the moments how he ended up falling in love with her. I wanted to see more of that. I guess it's inevitable having him fall in love when he's always observing and discussing about her relationship issues with her. In the end, I have to be satisfied with the honest discussions he had with her for his book. That part was kind of surreal too but I can see that happening in real life. You know, it would be interesting to read his PoV story...

Now when I think about it, the title for Takayama's book was so fitting...

*smile* I'm really glad that I chose to wait. ~~I watched this in between my dorama re-watch sessions XD~~...

It was fun! I don't know why... all the comedic moments (theme song playing, finished??.... rewinded, not finished! lol) & chemistry between the characters (& casts) looks better than the dorama... Though, to be honest, there are moments where I was cringing a bit at Sho's acting (more than Miss Kitagawa's *I find her acting acceptable in this SP*)... And it was great to see a bit character developments (for the upcoming movie??) happening e.g Kageyama worrying he's on the same level with Kazamatsuri?? XD

About Kageyama in Hong Kong... What was that all about? XD Was he smitten with the woman who looked like his Reiko-sama... or was it just something that reminded him of the [real] lady he is serving (missing his job?)??

Anyway... I love how the way they combined two seems unrelated cases into one case in one episode. Wished they show more on what happened next after Suzuki-san revealed himself though...

Aizawa-san (main scriptwriter) updated her blog. She talked about the messages she received in two weeks time after KagiHeya ended. Most of the messages sounded like these: "Feeling lonely after it ended" & "Hoping for sequels". She was happy & thankful on receiving them. She also expressed that she wishes to work with Team Enomoto again somewhere, someday.***

Seems like there was some kind of misunderstanding... Matsuyama-san asked those two Twitter users about the source for KagiHeya movie news they mentioned to him. It was mentioned in an article by Umeda Keiko from a column on Nikkan Sports. The article was about five spring doramas (starred by Johnny's artistes) she watched (btw she said KagiHeya is the most interesting among those five XD). Umeda-san has issued an apology & correction for that article : "***There is no confirmation regarding the movie version [of KagiHeya]."「映画化決定の事実はありません。」

As much as I want a sequel (or more XD), I think all these movie rumours originated from articles after the final episode aired (that sounded like poorly quoted contents from KagiHeya producer's interview on the official site) mentioning about movie version somewhat vaguely. They might be still at discussion/planning stage now (who knows? XD *hopeful* //Don't quote me on this), but as of now, a movie sequel IS NOT CONFIRMED.

Saw this mentioned in KagiHeya's 2ch thread... Just thought it's interesting ^_^... Seems like in Naniwa Shonen Tanteidan, Tabe Mikako's character said 「そうか、そうやったんか」(***"I see. So that's how it's done.") after she solved a locked room case in ep4. It might meant nothing (e.g. reference to Kagi)... but the phrase sounded similar to what Enomoto said after he found the solution in certain episodes : 「そうか、そうだったのか」(***"I see. So that's how it happened.")

p/s: I didn't watch this episode/dorama (& might never will... not a fan of Tabe's acting :P)

edit 09/Nov/2012--seems like the eps both are on will only be aired tomorrow (10/Nov/2012).. The transcriptions I found were fan reports who attended the show.

-On the addition of a new character (Serizawa), Kishi-sensei said Aizawa-san's scripts were great. He was already made aware that while the trick remained unchanged, the setting of the story will be changed. (However, he did checked all of the scripts.)

-On Ohno-kun, "He's very cool! He's thirty already, right? And yet he still looks so young! Some scenes were re-shoot over and over again... so many times. It's almost like a torture *laughs*.. There was once -it wasn't Ohno-kun's fault- was it the position of the camera? Or angle? ..kind of problem arose so a certain scene was re-shoot repeatedly.. it was perfect after that. I was really, really surprised with [his] ability to concentrate. It was great." [Someone who attended Kishi-sensei's lecture (elsewhere) said he mentioned about how professional Ohno was with such concentration]

-Seems like someone asked Kishi-sensei whether he'll continue with Enomoto-Junko series/novels (since dorama Enomoto is on a journey), his answer was "Don't worry. They'll be returning!"

p/s: OMG! Isn't this great?? This was the only thing that made me worry when thinking of KagiHeya sequels - but the author actually had enough tricks/plots for his Enomoto-Junko series! Who knew...! All the dorama needed is the tricks (provided by Kishi-sensei) ...& now.. let's hope that the casts have space for KagiHeya in their work schedule next year (!) *hopeful for a fall dorama lol*

I think this will be the last part because I'm out of doramas that suits current mood to re-watch XD

Proposal Daisakusen - Still enjoyable after almost 5 years... but I kept noticing things that reminded me of why I'm not YamaPi's fan anymore :P. ... after recently watched Toshi Densetsu no Onna, Nagasawa Masami's (who I find watchable years ago) acting style has become an annoying to watch for me... It seems like I just realised the unnaturalness she displayed in this dorama... Surprisingly, I find Fujiki Naohito's Tada-san more bearable now (maybe because I watched Hotaru no Hikaru before this XD)...

Shomuni - It was a fun journey... I like watching Esumi Makiko here.. And Ishiguro Ken... XD I sometimes wonder if Ukyo will end up with Sawako in the end...

Ringu : Saisusho - Less enjoyable now... I'm very annoyed with Yada's acting (I started fastforwarding her scenes in the end)... If there's ever reason needed to re-watch this again, it would be Yanagiba-san... Nagase (& his character) just annoys me this time

JIN (both seasons) - I think I enjoyed more watching this for the second time... and I even cried more (haha) compared to when I first watch it... The theme songs esp the 2nd one almost always brought tears to my eyes.. There was one particular scene in the first one (when Minakata-sensei met the sick Ogata-sensei) where I was crying and the same time amazed by their performance... Gosh, what a roller coaster of emotions this dorama had been for me..

Mei-chan no Shitsuji - ...I wouldn't have survived watching this if not for Mizushima Hiro... Eikura Nana was okay (though there are parts where she could have done better).. This dorama was the reason I'm not very fond of Oomasa's acting (honestly, I felt nauseous every time her character talks so I gladly fastforwarded them :D).. Yamada's acting gave me the same effects...

Strawberry Night - ... Had the same feelings when watching it the first time.. I don't find Himekawa likeable... Now (for the second time) I'm not sure if it's because of Himekawa's character or the actress' acting style... Anyway... I grew to love Kikuta more (kya~).. also.. I noticed that Koide's character here is somewhat similar to his character in JIN.. hmm.. Maybe the expressions he used for the characters...

Maou & KagiHeya - ... *totally taking my own sweet time in re-watching* :D

Stand Up!! - Anybody who had seen this dorama knows pretty well what its theme revolves around :P ... if not because I'm a big fan of the director Tsutsumi Yukihiko, I would already stop watching this halfway. The plot wasn't appealing to me at first. But I'm glad I watched it till the end years ago. It's better after I re-watch it now. It's clearly a story on youth *suddenly feels nostalgic lol*...

Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku @ NatsuNiji - This is my first re-watch since I saw it two years ago. Surprisingly it was more enjoyable. Maybe one should not think of it as a romance dorama when watching (although it's glaringly obvious from the opening scenes hehe...)... I think the part about second generation actors was particularly interesting. Well... actually I'm thinking more to those behind-the-scene events... ah but I love seeing Taiga work hard like that.

Triangle - ...decided to stop re-watching this after eps 3. It's hard to watch a dorama when I don't like almost half the cast (don't like their acting styles)... Isn't it amazing that I was able to finish it before??

Hotaru no Hikari 1 & 2 - KYAAAA~ XD *This kept me reminded of those Bridget Jones movies*

Long Love Letter - This dorama totally suits my mood nowadays. There are many subtle things that one can learn from this... one message stood out loud & clear to me: "Cherish your time. Live in the present." I think the part about survival was very interesting too. What the other teachers did (supposedly adults huh) disgusted me. Also.. not to forget the various reactions everyone in the future had to what happened to them - it made me wonder seriously how I will react if I'm in the same situation...

Managed to watch four spring doramas: Kagi no Kakatta Heya, Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri, 37-sai de Isha ni Natta Boku & Toshi Densetsu no Onna.

KagiHeya was really fun to anticipate every week. I only wished that the director had given more freedom for Ohno to create the character himself (though it's really fine the way he is now hehe...)... *nitpicking lol*... but rewatching it now (after that ending <333) & also on a monitor with a larger screen, I started noticing things I didn't notice earlier months ago. His eyes! Maybe it really matters watching on a larger screen after all - how could I miss those expressions conveyed by Enomoto's eyes??!!! It was there in every episodes... *hmm. could it be that his specs is blocking my view?? XD* Speaking of this eyes thing, oh gosh!!!! Re-watching Maou reminded me again why I love watching Ohno Satoshi act. That scene in the beginning of ep6 - Ikehata meeting Naruse - ... his expression left me in awe... (and scared). 凄い演技力でした。

Anyway... back to spring doramas... I enjoyed watching Mikeneko too - it made me laugh a lot... despite Aiba's mediocre acting as Yoshitaro.. also quite surprised with Okura here (didn't quite like him in Yasuko to Kenji)... didn't change my mind on not liking Oomasa's acting...

37-sai... already said what I thought of it in the review...

Watched Toshi Densetsu no Onna because of Takenaka Naoto XD. His role is limited to being Nagasawa's character's boss who always gets mad at her... hehe... I was happy to watch that episode he got teamed up Tsukiko. The part where he ended up going to Tsukiko's house was so funny. My favourite episode would be the zashiki-warashi one - really loved Shibayama there XD... Katsuura seems to suffer from a mild case of OCD (it reminded me of Monk so much *miss that series*)... he's my favourite character :D.. Nagasawa's character was likable at first impression but I don't like the parts where she smiles & declare another urban legend responsible for the crime, using her sex appeal (her legs) to survive the male-dominated career she's in & disrespecting her boss :P (randomly pushing him away.. what was that?) ... It seems unfair making her character able to solve everything without working as a team with her colleagues. Of course it could be because they won't/don't believe her... but.. this really bugged me till the end. ... and that ending... oh gosh. What? Why? It could have ended well with that hugging scene (or the date)~!!! Why must she be on an exchange program thing with the FBI?? ... it sounded ridiculous to me! Anyway... despite that ending, I don't mind watching this again. The cases were interesting... honestly, wasn't really convinced when she jumped to conclusions that urban legends are responsible for the murders... but it was fun hearing her talk about them because her level of obsessiveness reminded me of that one character who's obsessed with locks and keys XD.

I already can't wait for any Ohno's new acting projects~!!! Hoping that he'll have a dorama again next year.. *going to start looking for rumours again soon :D*

Hints: Crack in the head, Enomoto with a smirk, small sparkling things falling (diamonds), robot, a roundish thing hits Junko's box, a silhouette of upper part of a person & a pair of eyes (from ep10?) with captions "M.S.A.S" and "Idintity"[=identity?], ⑥ and ⑨ touches each other; Ⓞ appears & hits ⑥; ⑨ moves away, airplane & spectacles (Enomoto's?)
[the hints are pretty mixed up*]

I can't stop smiling after watching the ending.

Since ep 1, to be honest, I was really just admiring this Enomoto character (not in love whatsover)... then that ending changed everything. Who would have thought... this dark/black** Enomoto can be so alluring??? Hmmm... I guess... maybe I was expecting a more sad (maybe pitiful) way of revealing his past to the audience.. but they didn't choose that way (actually I'm kind of glad)... I'm actually very satisfied with the ending of this dorama by letting us see this side of Enomoto... With this knowledge about him, re-watching this dorama from ep1 now gives me a new (& more fun ) way to look at Enomoto.

Ah..if there they plan making a sequel... I just hope I'll be seeing this kind of Enomoto though (without delving too much into his "hobby" :D - like one comment I read, as grey as the novel Enomoto - maybe just enough to tease the audience..)... and it doesn't hurt if there are more scenes of him teasing Junko XD... He can still be mysterious (seriously... like how did he ended up like that? Was he caught before? Juvenile record present? there are plenty of mysterious sides to Enomoto yet to be discovered)... but fans might have to be patient because Kishi-sensei haven't done more stories on Enomoto... (& I really hope they'll stay true to his works rather than making original ones)... hmmm... that means movies and/or dorama SP are more probable to happen than Season 2... (except if they make it like Mikeneko's two episodes per case...)...

Favourite/Must-see scenes:

- Satou meeting Enomoto & Junko. That conversation between Satou & Enomoto. "You're also the type of person on this side, aren't you?" (This referring to the thing Enomoto said in ep10? ..they are just staff, people usually forgets their presence). Also that unnatural silence Junko saw between them.

- Team Enomoto brainstorming session...! Junko looks so excited huh XD ... She was so cute when she kept asking Serizawa "What do you mean?"

And I'm never tired of that unlocking gesture (in fact I might start pick it up for use when thinking deeply about something XD)... I read somewhere that the unlocking gesture was Ohno's own idea (which just makes me like it even more!).. I somewhat wish Serizawa had done it too XD

- Junko meeting Hisanaga-san

- Serizawa meeting Kouno

- I read that the second half of the novel shifted its perspective to the culprit's... so it's not really a surprise that there are many scenes of Satou... (I'm glad they chose Tamaki Hiroshi; he's another favourite villain besides ep6's Onizuka)

- Serizawa's smug face during his lighbulb moment

- Serizawa & Junko after Enomoto gave his approval to Serizawa's idea

- Serizawa's wrong deduction XD... Was thinking "EH, since when did Serizawa become so smart like Enomoto..??" & then I went... "KYAAAAA....SO embarassing!!!!!!!!!" Poor Serizawa.. he looks traumatised after that XD

- Scene where Enomoto finally figured out the solution.. & Serizawa's reaction to his "I'll explain tomorrow."... I noticed that there are many scenes that similar to the ones in ep 1... natsukashii~

- Junko (& Serizawa) waiting for Enomoto's call...

- ... Enomoto is unreachable... Finally showing his true colours...???

- Enomoto meeting Satou... The scene that made up of almost 20 pages in the script. I'm curious of what Satou found out on Enomoto... sth that could invoke revenge (Maou?????)????

Satou Manabu: I've looked into things about you. You should understand my feelings, right? (before this he was talking about how he wished to be on the other side of the glass window as he noticed about the diamonds, I think)

E: So, have you break through the glass? [=successful in going to the other side?] (Enomoto's voice here sounded different. Satou got it right then?)

E: Completed your revenge... Took those diamonds... are you finally freed? [from your revenge?]... Personally, I don't think you are. (Voice still different)

SM: In what way then you see it as?

E: You seem to be surrounded by glass walls from all directions.

SM: ...*sighing* *teary-eyed?* *such an intense scene!*

E: I don't want to remain trapped in a glass case. Even if I can't make it to the opposite side, I want to live freely.

- Junko & Serizawa reached Enomoto's workplace... empty... Enomoto's lock collections are also gone... [KYAA~~~ they used "YOU" here!!! This song always makes my heart go dokidoki :P]

- The ending!!!!!!!!!! I like you, Enomoto. I really like you now. XD

Enomoto: Sorry for not contacting you earlier.

J: What's the matter? I'm SO worried about you!

Serizawa: Enomoto? Is that Enomoto?

E: I'm kinda busy with something else...

S: Where are you now, Enomoto??

J: Airport? Are you going on a travel?

E: Yes. I received some extra money...

J: Extra money?

Serizawa took Junko's phone away.

S: Hello? Enomoto, I have something I want to ask you.

E: What is it?

S: There were diamonds worth 600mil hidden at Shiina Akira's room.. some of them which was worth 100mil were fakes (it was written "white silicones")... Oi.. did you..

E: What are you talking about? Wasn't it because someone had deceived the president?

Junko retrieved her phone.

J: Where are you going?

E: I wonder [where]...

J: When are you going to return?

E: I wonder [when]...

J/S: ....

E: It's time. I have to go.

J: Ah... wa...wa.. wait!

E: Bye.

S: What did he say?

J: "I wonder..."...

S: Hah?

[Enomoto's "I wonder..." was translated as "I don't know" in chinese. I just took liberty using that because it sounded like he has already decided but doesn't really want to tell Junko what he's up to... XD]

...you can't make sequel(s) from that ending? HAH! They'll find a way - even if it's almost illogical - they WILL find a way to continue from that!!! ... ~~but honestly.. I can already imagine it.. try it!~~

Enomoto VS Satou

Just realised that time Enomoto looked at him in ep10. He didn't know him... he has always been that way, right? Like when he looked at the real culprit in ep3 and 4... he's just good at noticing someone who looks fishy..

....& it was long, but I really like that long conversation they had near the end. So... not fellow *cough*thieves*cough*, but fellow victims of other people's betrayal??? Another mysterious side of Enomoto!

Team Enomoto, Enomoto & Junko...?

Hmmm. I think everything's going to be fine if they ever make sequel(s). Serizawa might just like... turn on a blind eye on Enomoto's "hobby" (I like to call it hobby at this moment thank you :D).. And of course I'm also rooting for love to blossom between Enomoto & Junko, but this ending doesn't disappoint me... & that wasn't really the main point to watch anyway... :P

Oh... I've read that there were supposed to be parts where Junko confront Enomoto about being thief or something...??? (supposedly said by the producer)... I won't be much surprised if they keep that (and their love story *never stop hoping!*) for future sequels *smirk*

Another interesting thing I found out (via 2ch), the time setting for ep10-11 coincided with ep9's... could be a mistake (& maybe... this was because ep9 was added in the last minute???).... or hint for sequel?? (Yes. I want a sequel if possible.. I want to see more Enomoto now that I like him.... :D)

Ambiguous ending: What is Enomoto up to...?

Escape? Travel? Looking for new locks...? Solving locked room cases elsewhere? Ah... it could be anything! If this isn't something that hints at sequels... then I don't know what will convince those who don't believe. XD But it looks like a "safe" ending to me... they can continue from that if they want too... if not, it's fine too!

I personally like to think that he'll be opening a lock shop on his own, just like the novel Enomoto... About those diamonds... maybe it's him, maybe it's not him... (ah.. but that smirk can only mean one thing...*in love*)... the more important thing is, can the police even prove it's him???

*The opening hints are mixed up with what Enomoto is up to in the end... (Could that eyes & spectacles meant the person who own them is keeping watch/stalking...???)... M.S.A.S should be referring to the culprit's initials (Manabu Satou & Akira Shiina)...
Even to the end, Kagi team's efforts are top-notch... I'm really glad that Ohno got the chance to work with this team for his first getsu9 dorama. :'D

My undiscovered side...

For a person who isn't interested in bad boys (& fictional characters that are bad boys), I'm very surprised with myself... I'm actually enjoying the dorama purely because of the locked room cases, other than admiration, I was mostly neutral towards Enomoto... than that ending happened & I just had to declare my love for Enomoto XD.. I think it has something to do with him smiling (even if it's more of a smirk)...

Haven't finished rewatching XD.. ah but I just realised something.. I was wondering what Enomoto said about "Dead Combo"...

By the way, the title for the second half of the novel (haven't attempted reading it though) is 死のコンビネーション (Shi no Combination)... originally I would have translated it as "The Combination of Death" without knowing the context used XD

Anyway.. did some googling...& found out that it's a term used in Billiards...

"Kaseifu no..."

Oh gosh. I laughed a lot watching the ending. As expected, I really am watching this dorama for the cat XD... I would've watch this off-season if it wasn't for Holmes & Yoshitaro's scenes <333.. What's with that double ending thingy??? So it's not Holmes but human Holmes???

... but it kind of worked for me so... okay. XD

They actually did start an investigation session on Holmes & it seems he was also around during Yoshitaro's dad time. Hmmm.. And Hiro-nii did overhear the part Kurihara talking to Holmes "Long time no see, Holmes." Honestly, it felt like they just threw in this last part on Holmes in random... but I like it.

The last two episodes were actually done better than previous ones.. when I checked, the scriptwriter was indeed different. ~~Can't help thinking that they should have asked him earlier~~. Ahh..but for the final part of the mystery that started in ep10... I'm sorry, it was all a bit blur to me (lol).. I was like "what? eh, what? what?" Somewhat it doesn't sound so final-ish to me hehe... oh.. but at least they solved the puzzle about Yoshitaro's dad's real murderer.

They had another locked room mystery :D (like ep1)... gah. It would be hard not to think of Enomoto now whenever locked room mystery is mentioned! Speaking of Enomoto... that no-goo... *will continue this in my review for Kagi's final* :P

...and about Aiba... *sigh* I don't know what to expect really. I was hoping he'll get better as the dorama got near to its ending... but there wasn't much. There were too many scenes where he could've done it more naturally but didn't. It either looked forced or confused... but I still hold on to my opinion on Aiba > Sho 's acting abilities in ep2 review ... *don't know why I have this soft spot for Aiba XD*

What do those opening hints meant?

I believe in Enomoto. I don't think it was him, so this post will be based on that assumption. With such hints, the only thing I can think of is the real culprit knows about Enomoto's past with Ebara. I wonder who made the phone call to the police? The culprit...or maybe Tamaki's character, Satou? Hmmm... Satou could be the culprit (or maybe he saw something about the real culprit)?

~~That Ebara Masaki guy looks suspicious, I won't be surprised if he's the culprit.~~

Poor Enomoto... trapped by his own words (regarding the security level of the place in the beginning)... actually what I saw is someone else is using Enomoto as a disguise for his crime. But that was a pretty clever way to reveal Enomoto's past, Scriptwriter Aizawa-san :D...

This is a quite refreshing episode (ah but previous episodes weren't really formulaic like other similar doramas)... no opening scene where Enomoto introduces the case.. It was movie-like too. The atmosphere was more serious... Serizawa-sensei (who usually do funny ad-libs :D) was more serious than before too...

Favourite/Must-see scenes:
- Enomoto & Junko in elevator
- Enomoto meeting with Ebara. I don't think Ebara forgot who Enomoto is. The way he requested Junko to supervise Enomoto makes me think that he remembered him very fine.
- Ooohh... the promised long lines!! Lol... but I'm really interested to hear them because it's about security (useful info)--- as expected, the expert got it all covered. :D
- Junko asking about Enomoto who was questioned elsewhere. Concerned for your teammate, Junko-san? XD
- Tamaki's scenes... Why so teasing with those sneakers? XD... Like some people said, he really did finally appear in the end only. ~~Sneaky!~~
- Serizawa's ideas on monkey and robot being the culprits
- Serizawa with monkey
- Enomoto has this weird expression on him when Junko was beside him, looking at what Enomoto is looking on his computer..
- KYA... something like the ending of ep8 again! <333 I can get used to this. *Kishi-sensei, ganbatte~! XD* *Aizawa-san, feel free to add interactions like this again for any sequels in the future :P* By the way, didn't it look like Enomoto was teasing her?? lol
- Ending. The whole thing. Kouno talking about Enomoto's past and Enomoto seeing Satou outside the window. Acquaintance?

It must be interesting to see how Serizawa react to this thing about Enomoto. It will show how far he trusts him as his teammate. I hope he'll stand by Enomoto's side... チーム榎本　最高！
(But if he's skeptical, there's Junko to drag him in to save Enomoto XD)

Enomoto's past reminded me of Mita. Not the past thing.. It made me feel like hugging him to tell him it's going to be okay. Sigh. They haven't talked much on his past really... only what happened 5 years ago & how he ended up in an unusual office. My wild imagination came up with this hypotheses.. could he have been more knowledgeable on locked room cases now because of what he was accused of before? Like an obsession that started because he wanted to prove his innocence??.. Could he be the one who helped out with the case because they already caught the culprit? Who is Satou Manabu? I don't think he's merely a window cleaner... Professional thief? Could Enomoto had been a professional thief too (but doesn't mix his work and erm.. "hobby")... or maybe it was on his juvenile record??

I need answers!

OHHH... Interesting case! This involved people Yoshitaro knows so it's even more puzzling than before.

Firstly... Didn't Jinnai played a similar role before in Nemureru Mori??? *have faint memories on the dorama XD* Oh..well, I'm not really complaining. Just curious.

I really enjoyed watching Yoshitaro in this episode. I'm pleasantly surprised by his strong sense of justice. I was like "You've grown huh!" *imaginary pat* XD.. Well, that was before he knows about Kaneda's past with his father. Ah.. but I think he'll stick to the justice part though, giving excuses like "he has served his time for his crimes" (though he hasn't really finished them by running away...) or "Dad would have done the right thing"...

Holmes. Hmm.. I don't really get why Holmes has to leave *almost forgot about previous case*.. I think he doesn't want Yoshitaro to change to something worse.. but he kept looking out for Yoshitaro anyway.. Gosh, cats are so complicated at times...

p/s: Double endings & having audience vote for which ending to be used? I'm inclined to think this was to pull in higher ratings. Didn't they do the same thing for eps 1?

Great episode!

Favourite/Must-see scenes:

- Serizawa's "Hi, Enomoto-chan, how are you?"

- Serizawa & Enomoto's conversation at the door

- Junko teasing Enomoto who just got confessed to by Misa-chan

- Serizawa taking on the case because he can't bear watching Misa cry (cute Serizawa~~)

- Inspection scene. Those erm.. conversations between Junko & Sakaguchi were hilarious

- Serizawa realised he was followed by someone (and he tried to ran away XD)

- That one of Serizawa's ~~rare~~ cool moments where he confronts Nonogaki at Enomoto's workplace. Notice his shaking legs after that scene? XD

- Inuyama telling Junko that she's cute & her reaction to that XD

- Junko whining about Enomoto not calling her to drink the sake he received earlier together... they sounded like close friends :D (I'm amused that Enomoto drank the whole thing alone)

- Nonogaki calling Enomoto "Kagiya no Onii-chan" twice (hehe.. no particular reason.. it just sounded like "Uta no Onii-san" to me)

- All Enomoto & Misa-chan's scenes (KYA so cute~~ "Cute face. My type." "...")... and & the end... I wished they have made a close-up of him because I can see Enomoto playing the swing.

From the way Serizawa asked about Enomoto's relationship with the big boss (Togashi), I think Serizawa has suspected Enomoto deals with shady things all this while... and I kept trying to see any conversation that give way to their relationship but there's not much. I only find the giving Enomoto an expensive alcohol drink part suspicious...

The guest actors do look scary huh.. but I love everyone's performance~! I didn't think that those little comedy elements would mix well with their scary appearance... but they did. I like watching Suzuki (since Honjitsu wa Taian Nari) here as Hatta Mitsuo especially the scenes with his character's daughter. So sad that his character died early in the beginning...

I don't watch much of Tamaki's other doramas.. so my only image of him is of Chiaki-senpai (Nodame Cantabile) XD.. Honestly, I can't imagine how he can fit in this dorama at first but watching the preview, I'm kind of glad.. hehe.. the scenes look promising - something big is happening!

A bit disappointed with this episode...

I might have been biased because I already think that Tomomi is the culprit from the beginning because I don't like her (first impression). Meh. Not sure if it's the actress' acting (not the type I like to watch) or her face (maybe it reminded me of someone I don't like in the past..) that annoys me... But Tomomi is really scary - perhaps she have some mental disorder or something? I can't believe a person can ask someone else kill somebody so casually. So unfeeling and guiltless...

Which is why I'm not convinced about the thing human Holmes talked about Yoshitaro "killing" her... Sheesh. And the lying thing. I must be the only one who doesn't think Yoshitaro is wrong because he lied... to catch the real culprit. Of course I like the fact that he's the kind of person who tends to believe that everyone has a heart, but I don't like to see him being used by other people like that. Are they planning to let his character stay that way? I want his character to grow at least a bit...as far as to learn to differentiate better who and what to trust... isn't it important for his career too? .....

Ah.. I just remembered something... this pattern continues from ep 1.. that his character has to be like that.. because he's that kind of person, the real culprits were moved and confessed to their crimes..

...that means...it would be hard to see that growth.. *sigh*

Anyway... more on Holmes! Hiro-nii found a newspaper article with a photo of his grandfather & a calico cat named Holmes... Is it the same Holmes?

Those Yoshitaro & Holmes scenes are very funny XD

Especially the one where human Holmes told him that he's going to die (or she?... I'm still not sure XD)

Yoshitaro wanted to bring him to the hospital and tried to carry human Holmes. Then human Holmes pushed him away.
Y: Let me bring you to the hospital. See a doctor to check... Holmes, let's go.
H: I don't wanna go, don't wanna go, don't wanna go~!
Y: *tries hard to carry him* ...
H: I'm not moving at all!!!

Ishizu is adorably kind in this episode... actually I was surprised by his gesture. Wasn't he annoyed with Yoshitaro in the first episode? Now he's defending him...

I don't have much to say really. It was enjoyable & I can't wait to watch the second part!

p/s: Would that one scene be a reference to KagiHeya? XD Whenever someone mentioned kagi, Yoshitaro did something like Enomoto's unlocking gesture (Ishizu did it too in for the first kagi mentioned)... I like to think that it was... but like ATARU's KagiHeya reference, it might just be a coincidence XD

Hints: Wavelength (ultrasonic sound?), clock (shows 10:15) & dog (seem to focus on its ears and eyes)

If I have to pick my least favourite case, I might say it's this episode... *sigh* I don't know why, I seem to have problems when it comes to female culprits...

...fortunately, the side stories are always better in those episodes (#3 and #4). I think this episode is no exception.

Well, except... it's more like a Serizawa-centric episode (the Serizawa fan in me is very satisfied XD)... Gosh. Serizawa-san. How long can you keep from the public about the fact that those locked room cases weren't solved by you alone, huh? :D

~~...ah but actually in Ueda-sensei's case, it was 3 seasons + 2SPs + 3 movies.. *starts to dream big*...~~

...& that ending!!! The other endings in previous episodes can't beat that ending! It just made me want to see them interact more...! (like talking about things unrelated to their current case). I thought it was brilliant of the scriptwriter to have Enomoto said that last line.

I noticed that Junko seem to be more observant in recent episodes. It just strengthen the thoughts I have on having just the two of them if they ever have a second season. AH. I'm afraid that if the crew somewhat knew there are chances for sequels, they would not show much developments between Enomoto & Junko in this one... then we'll have an open-ended, cliffhanger-ish ending?? Hmm. As long as Kishi-sensei is still writing new stories about them, there are possibilities for sequels!

Gosh. What am I thinking now? XD

p/s: Just read KagiHeya's producer interview moments ago on the official site... *hopefully I read it correctly*.. he was asked if there'll be sequels or movie after this (seems like they often received this question on the official site). His answer was there's no plans for that at this moment but... the possibility might not be zero in the future (considering the amount of interest on this matter).

I'm kind of excited reading that answer. (!!!!!)

I mean if ~~something as bad as~~ NazoDi (so not fond of Kitagawa's acting) can get a movie, why not KagiHeya too, right?

KYAAA... Holmes is so cute~~! I love the scene where he lied down on Yoshitaro's bed... I even saw more similarities between Holmes and human Holmes in this episode, it made me go "Oh I see..." XD

I think the theme is quite heavy too (like KagiHeya's #7)... The thing about dying cats hiding from his/her loved ones to die alone makes me feel sad (and the ending)... Kind of glad that Yoshitaro & Ishizu arrived early before someone dies...

As I predicted, it was better to watch Yoshitaro who finally accepted his work as a detective... & human Holmes seemed thankful for this too :D..

I still hope for less meddling by Yoshitaro's family members in police official matters though... because this bugs me since previous episodes, it's making me feel tired of watching Hiro-nii XD..

Anyway... whoa! Hiro-nii found a photo of "Holmes" with their grandfather!.. Was that really Holmes (9-lifed kind of thing?)? or his grandfather?

p/s: Something random.. I wonder if Iida-san will guest in KagiHeya??? He's already in this Mikeneko episode... It's because he has been a guest in three doramas where Ohno played the main roles XD ... If I remember correctly, he was Serizawa's big boss in Maou... the person Kenta's sister met during omiai in UtaOni... and in Kaibutsu-kun, he's the person with butt-like features on his head from Demon World... The fact that he was in all three doramas made me want him to be in KagiHeya too... XD

Favourite/Must-see scenes:

- Serizawa's face when Junko nodded at him to make him help Endo-san

- Enomoto waiting for bus but stopped getting on it because of Junko XD

- Enomoto inspecting the old house. Because it was a big house, it took longer to inspect... & he did more small weird gestures :P...

-You know the part where he squatted to check the main door? I laughed when I read on a 2ch thread (I forgot which :D) saying sth like "it was actually a clue too...?" XD

-Uncomfortable Junko asking Enomoto to say something & he looked around the room...

- Imaginary house model scene. So...Junko has officially adapted the unlocking gesture huh XD... & poor Serizawa has so many to catch up with XD "Where?" "I can't see a thing."

- The ending. Especially the ending. I can't help but think that was Ohno focusing on his painting (or putting lures on his fishing rod??? XD)... & I'm sure everyone notice the thing behind him... :D

- I love the fact that on 2ch, they were thinking "did Enomoto killed someone???" .. but I did looked up on this... seems like the blue flame could be hitodama (wiki)

- So, he killed someone (accidentally?)?? ... or maybe he has a strong karma... or the soul followed him back to Tokyo and played a prank on him??? Maybe it has sth to do with that ancient lock(?) he got from Nagano??? Creeeepppppyy~~~~~

- Enomoto's last look when the father told everything... Ah.. I just noticed that look after watching for the fourth time... Enomoto is always expressionless? Definitely no! As expected, Ohno is best at doing subtle expressions. Most of the time Enomoto is expressionless, I have the urge to add "but seem to feel..." This just got me really, really look forward to upcoming episodes!

I'm not sorry for Serizawa for being so out of the loop in this episode XD... Of course I love Serizawa ...but once in a while I want just both Enomoto & Junko together on a case ~~because there'll be more chances for feelings to develop muahaha~~. Anyway.. watching those Enomoto-Junko scenes, I started thinking maybe... if they ever have a second season, Junko might have her own law firm... and continues working with Enomoto (just like in the novels)... *imagination runs wild*... ~~if Enomoto isn't escaping from something...I guess?~~

The beginning of this episode really felt like Trick.. :D

... and I love mystery cases like these (with paranormal stuff) so I enjoyed this episode. It was kind of heavy though.. (family themes are always heavy to me).. but I didn't cry.. I wonder why I didn't cry? (have I become more heartless lately? XD) .. Yoshida-san acted so passionately, I kind of feel guilty for not showing more appreciation...

About next episode...

I was pleasantly surprised when I read that MEGUMI and Iwasa Mayuko will be guests for eps 8... Always saw MEGUMI on Himitsu but never really see her in doramas that much. Anyway, when I see KagiHeya's guests' past doramas, most of them were on Liar Game... maybe because of the director...? :D

Surprisingly, quite often I would call Enomoto as Ohno :P... not that I see Ohno a lot in the character (those specs really helped a lot)... hmmm.. this made me think because I usually forget it was Ohno... *let me think again*...

Ah. But one thing for sure, Ohno is not Enomoto XD... When I watch recent eps of VSA, I was like "EHHH... I don't believe that this person acts as Enomoto in KagiHeya" LOL... maybe it's a different pattern this time huh

Some fans (2ch) shared what Director Matsuyama & Aizawa-san (scriptwriter) talked about Ohno on a magazine... It made me want to buy those magazines (including the one with Producer Obara) just to read them because I'm SO CURIOUS! I don't buy magazines anymore but I don't think this would be scanned by fans (because no photos of Ohno?)...

....and will KagiHeya team ever be on VSA????? Ohno's first ~~real~~ renzoku FujiTV dorama & he's not going to battle Arashi on VSA??? Looking at the list of VSA guests... the only unknown guest is the day before the last episode of KagiHeya... *HOPES*

An afterthought (after watching ep1-5)...

I haven't talk about Ohno's performance in KagiHeya yet, have I?

Enomoto is different from his personality... so it's definitely not in the same category with Yano Kenta & Tarui Shotaro. He delivers something I know he's capable of... which isn't really something new *said in a positive way*... now it's up to the development of the character. There should be something new in his performance (I just believe) as Enomoto's background is unfolded (hopefully it will be that way...)... which would get a "That's what I'm talking about!" reaction from me.

This isn't really an expectation though :D.. because I'm pretty satisfied with what I see now (Ohno talking fast, obsessed with keys/locks..in short, a weird person? XD)... Such moment would be a bonus to me.

...okay back to episode 6!

Firstly, I want to talk about the opening hints! KYAA! That invisible slow-moving person was so creepy! You can see him walking across the screen till the end of the opening (it felt like he's trolling my screen XD)..

Isn't it fun watching out for hints in the opening?? I didn't realised about the fly in eps 1 before but after the director tweeted about those hints, I started paying attention since eps 2 :D... This is the first time I repeat the opening of doramas several times just to make sure I got all the hints XD

By the way, I'm so happy with the Enomoto & Junko moments in this episode!!!

Favourite/Must-see scenes:
- The look on Enomoto's face after this conversation XD:
"Do you watch things like stageplays etc?"
"No. Not since my school's play."
- An excited Junko watching the play...
- Enomoto's "That's incorrect."
- Enomoto solved the case in the middle of the play XD
- Enomoto inspecting the hall with binoculars
- Enomoto & Junko checking possible pathways used by the culprit. Enomoto just walked on stage (people are practising) like there's no one there XD. And then... Enomoto almost close the exit door behind Junko
- Onizuka meeting Enomoto. "Are you the culprit?"
- Enomoto wondering about Junko reading books on locked room cases (was he happy to hear about that?? It was like that time where Junko thanked him for his explanation to stop him in eps 1.. it was an intrigued look)
- ... and Junko's reaction to the question ^

J: Then... what was that Team Enomoto thing you said last time?
S: That was just enthusiasm. Yes. Anyone who just solved a mystery case would be happy and they would end up speaking weirdly. Don't you understand petty things like that? You're an adult after all! *sounds like he's sulking XD*

This conversation amused me because if Serizawa appears uninterested (after Team Enomoto episode), this scene would have explained it. Such small details - the scriptwriter even got this part covered huh. Interesting.

Leader vs Leader
Ahh.. this is the first time I saw V6's leader.. seems like he doesn't appear in doramas that much...

Honestly, I like this episode's villain. His character has that kind (maybe not so innocent) appearance which made it hard to believe Onizuka is capable of committing crimes... Of course, I meant that in a good way. :D...

Enomoto & Kouno
Enomoto received information on the case from Detective Kouno? WHAT? This was thrown in so casually in the story, it almost sounds like they are close to each other (working together?)...

Another thing. Before Onizuka appeared, Enomoto was talking on the phone. He said. "I see. Thank you, professor." Professor?? Significant or just some random scene?

Enomoto & Junko
Was it a date? :D

What is apparent to me now is Junko is crushing on Enomoto. It's that, isn't it???
I can just imagine this monologue.
"Oh. This is a play about locked rooms.. Enomoto-san might be interested <3 I should bring him along!" lol

...there's this too:
Junko: There's a book on locked room cases in Ioka-san's bag. I've actually read it before...
Enomoto: You read a book on locked room cases?

Hmmm. I think it's to help her understand Enomoto's world better (& maybe help him a bit where she could next time XD *sidekick? teammate?*)... she can't just suddenly take interest in such kind of mystery, right? ~~I actually plan to read some novels on locked room cases too after I heard Ohno is in this dorama XD~~

At the end, Junko wants to bring Enomoto to another play <3
Speaking of this... why did he put his phone on speaker??? He could just reject Junko's call or tell her he's busy or something, right? The scene just makes me think that he likes listening to her... or he enjoys having her around, even if it's just her voice... :D ...

Hmm... but it could be that he doesn't want to sound suspicious to Junko if he's suddenly busy...really? Could that be it? Will she even be suspicious of him?..'cos she knows Enomoto is an eccentric person anyway.

The Ending
OMG. So teasing! What was he picklocking? This wasn't like last time where he helped that lady.
What? What? WHAT?

Scenes with Yoshitaro & Holmes (both form) are the best scenes in this episode...

...even though I still think Matsuko's acting is a bit awkward (but seems a bit better than previous episodes)..

That one scene where human Holmes ordered Yoshitaro to bring him to the crime scene... I laughed when Yoshitaro brought out his bag & human Holmes looked at him & said "Carry me." Yoshitaro unzipped his bag.. "Here." Well.. just a short scene but it's definitely poking fun on this question "How can human Holmes fit inside that small space???" XD

Ishizu is cute as usual... now he's my favourite character :D

I couldn't stand the abundance of scenes with Oomasa in the beginning... *I really don't like her acting*...

So...it's revenge...
...I kind of cringed a bit at the scene where Junko wanted to shoot Yoshitaro... it was a bit cheesy and weird. XD

...dunno why.. after watching several doramas/tv shows.. I notice that when you want to avenge for your loved ones, it's always a good idea to take on a new identity (preferably someone who exists)... hmmm. [off-topic: Currently I'm also watching "Revenge" on TV ... every time I watch it, I will always have the urge to re-watch Maou XD... Interestingly, Emily has that guilt moment when people is dying while Naruse's plan is that all along.. it succeeded at making Maou became more scary to me XD]

Anyway.. there are parts that could have been done better *nit-picking :D*... but personally I think they handled the revenge plot quite well (it made the second half more fun to watch)...

I really like the background music used in this dorama.. and dare I say... more than KagiHeya's ? XD .. Actually I love both but the one used in Mikeneko are the kinds I usually go for.. (maybe I'll wait for the soundtracks though before saying more on this :D)

On the ending.... MEH. Was it really a surprise? It's soooo predictable that Yoshitaro isn't going to quit his job... Hah. At least now, hopefully, we won't hear him whine about his job anymore... and I also hope that they would tone down any Yoshitaro's family's involvement with police's official cases (it somewhat brings me back to why I don't like watching those CSI series)...

And.... WHAT???? Why? Why is Kurihara talking to Holmes like an old friend?? They know each other?

Honestly, I don't know what to feel about this episode...

I guess the highlight is Yoshitaro liking someone...?

Kichise was okay... What I saw was... she and Aiba have matching heights... but somehow I think she looks too matured for Yoshitaro ^_^

...and I'm still annoyed with the fact that Yoshitaro has to stay being a police detective... of course, of course.. his letter is accepted this time (really?).. but seems like it's a plan devised to.. like make him realise being a detective is what he wants to do.. in the end..? Why do I think this part was so messy?...

I also think having his family involved with police's investigations (as in making their own discussion on current case at home) inappropriate.. it's really not funny anymore. Was that to show their family bonds or something? Sheesh.

..it's the Enomoto who said "Don't you understand? DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?" in the first episode! I kind of missed him... even though it's not my favourite side of him :D

Favourite/Must-watch scenes:

- When Enomoto & Junko arrived at the site. Serizawa was there too and he had this wide smile on his face when he saw them. He got a bit disappointed that Enomoto was there because Detective Kouno asked for his help..

- That subtle competition between Serizawa & Kouno - oh the jealousy! ... then Enomoto slightly pushed Serizawa away XD

- Junko doing that unlocking gesture again... *girl you spent too much time with Enomoto XD*

- Junko teasing Serizawa who surprisingly came to the site (for being curious?)

- Enomoto on a bicycle

- Two scenes where Enomoto appears suddenly behind Junko

- "Youth? Don't need it!"

- Enomoto-chan & Team Enomoto XD

- Serizawa galloping happily in the end with an "I won" face

Team Enomoto & Serizawa's Jealousy

So this is the team thing mentioned in the staff blog few weeks ago huh.. In the beginning when Junko's friend asked about Enomoto (she thought he is her boyfriend :D), Junko hesitated in clarifying who Enomoto is... so it seems like.. she didn't know what kind of relationship they have...? But in the end, she got her answer.

They are teammates.

Junko: What's this Team Enomoto you're talking about?

Serizawa: ...well.. since we're teammates... right, Enomoto-chan?

Enomoto: Ah... yes

...and here I want to emphasize how cute Serizawa is being again in this episode. <333

Well... he was acting like "Enomoto is mine" when Kouno is around XD

In the beginning he called him "Enomoto". Then when they went to Enomoto's workplace, he called him "Enomoto-kun". At the police station... "If you want Enomoto-chan's help again in the future, you have to go through me first." Enomoto-chan? XD

Seriously... it's obvious that Serizawa is so attached to him now XD (though it might have sth to do with Enomoto helping him solve closed room mysteries and Serizawa gets all the credit :D)

Enomoto & Detective Kouno

The ending gave another glimpse to Enomoto's mysterious background. It seems like Kouno already started investigating on him... (wonder what the documents are for *not skilled enough to read kanji :D*) Since when? Since eps 3?..or before that? It makes me wonder what he was thinking when Enomoto appeared in the 3rd episode's case.. & in this episode he called for his help. What was he doing? Gathering evidence? Trying to get close to Enomoto to investigate stuff??

If Enomoto really is a thief, I like to think that he was forced to do it or just do it for the unlocking challenges (without caring for the money the way he doesn't care who the criminal is). I just thought it should not be as simple as "he's a thief" because that would be too predictable (& boring XD) ...

Oh yeah.. when Serizawa told Enomoto that he can refuse to help the police if Enomoto is consulted, Enomoto doesn't look like he's bothered at all ("I don't hate it.").. which makes the "like the unlocking challenges" sound more possible... I did wondered if Enomoto was nervous (he didn't look like it) when police was present during his inspection...

It never fails to make me laugh seeing Yoshitaro faint... XD

I usually scribble some notes while watching a dorama so that I can type out my review (a habit that started since I watch Kaseifu no Mita a season ago)... and one sentence was like this: "Watching this after Kagi #4, you can really see the difference between Yoshitaro and Enomoto." lol.. I can't remember what was that now... but it might be related to a similar scene where they confront the culprit or say who the culprit is..

Anyway.. I'm seeing Hiro-nii as buchou for a few moments in the beginning lol

This second part is quite good... but I am bit appalled with the rate of people dying. What makes it worst is Yoshitaro is still clueless even when the number of bodies pile up. *sigh*

Kato Ai was amazing in the last scene! Keiko was so naturally played out.. I cried! Fresh from crying, I cried a bit again the scene where Holmes chasing Yoshitaro (for plagiarizing her/him... hmmm Holmes a him right?).. lol

But I really hate those kind of twists for family-feud like this - AH. They always have this twists for family-feud like this!!! It makes me feel sad that people's lives are being wasted away just like that for reasons that aren't concrete anymore in the end.

Ishizu was soooo cute... He was sick but he got up just in time to help Yoshitaro save Harumi. Then when people were praising him in the end for his bravery, he didn't remember anything at all!!! "I did something so great like that?" XD

KYAaa.. what is that? Why is Serizawa coming to Junko's rescue that fast?!

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this scene was "Are they dating..???" XD... hah! Of course not. But I really like this side of him... sweet..though it felt a bit out-of-characterish.. oh. ~~But.. there wasn't much about him that I know since ep1 so how would that be OOC?~~.. :P.. Anyway, the importance of this scene is for them both to meet Furumizo..

Serizawa had a magazine interview (for those locked room cases he "solved"? XD)..

"I don't know where those gossips about me solving them came from.."

This reminds me of Ueda-sensei from Trick - he somewhat took all the credit in solving cases too!

In this episode too, Junko hung out at Enomoto's place :D It doesn't look like Enomoto is bothered by her presence.. he doesn't chase her away.. & he listens to what she's saying (even if it doesn't look like he is doing that).

Enomoto seems occupied with another lock (well...that isn't really a surprise)... but that smile in the end...awww I wish he'll smile more in the future....

Favourite/Must-watch scenes:

1) Serizawa & Junko's reactions to seeing tarantula. Serizawa hit the back of his head on the door. Junko was screaming.

2) Junko cleaning up her room as fast as she could XD *cute*

3) Serizawa checking out Junko's room

4) That "Finished?" "...what?" "Inspection." scene! I thought it was the same but it seems they really did it twice. Interesting scene.

5) Junko drinking her tea. And then asked for Enomoto's tea. :D

6) Enomoto returning to his workplace & finds a smiling Junko there.

7) Serizawa & Junko panicking when Serizawa got bitten by a spider.

8) Enomoto staring at suspect again...

9) Junko stealing Enomoto's line... lol

10) Serizawa backing away from Furumizo & said "Tell us. Who is the culprit?" after Enomoto said it was a murder.

11) Junko brought a box of chocolates for Enomoto & everything that happened after that <33333

12) Enomoto's smile of victory *cute*

(Just want to add something after watching this episode for the fourth time :D)
I love the pace of this dorama. It gives the sense that every characters develop smoothly as they work on another locked room mystery. Typically, character like Serizawa would still be skeptical on Enomoto's skills so I'm really glad it's different this time.

Another is the pace of the relationship (friendship?) between Enomoto and Junko. If they choose to do it, it is now ready to go the romance way (lol). They sure aren't wasting time focusing on the case only... I like this aspect of the staff team's efforts put into the dorama.

Solving cases together is something new too. Though I don't know if it's because of Ohno's nature (doesn't like to be in the spotlight) or Enomoto's character himself... that gives out such atmosphere... but it sure is working well for me. ...but..sometimes with Serizawa around, Junko kind of gone invisible in the background... :D

Now that we know Enomoto has a mysterious side, I'm guessing that part would be where Ohno's acting skills will shine. I look forward to that development.

I really didn't see that coming! :D

So apparently Junko was the one who asked him first. Initially she was just wondering about Kurusu & Takewaki's relationship & asked Enomoto that question casually to..maybe.. like make sure it's a common thing to know phone numbers & stuff... I was a bit surprised that the question bothered him so much XD... I think he was a bit mad lol.. (in the end, Junko did got curious)

Junko: Speaking of Takewaki-san's mobile phone... Isn't it weird that Kurusu-san didn't know if he has one or not? For example...even if it's recent**, he should have at least given her his phone number, right?
Enomoto: I don't see the connection between me having a girlfriend or not with this case.
J: *goes on talking about the case..completely in her own world*
E: I don't see how this is related to me having a girlfriend either.
J: What I'm trying to say is... how is it if it's in Enomoto-san's case... Can't I ask if it's unrelated to the case?
E: I never really said that you can't ask...
J: So... you have one or not? *curious already XD* (^_^)?
E: ...I wonder why do girls like to talk about romance?
J: That's because it's an interesting issue.
E: Interesting?
J: Moreover... by knowing what kind of romance they had or have.. one can understand the other's personality better.
E: Things like that aren't things you can talk about casually with other people...
J: What are you saying? People like you who keep talking about locks and security stuff all the time won't be popular among girls you know...

KYAAAA~~~ so many Enomoto-Junko scenes in this episode!

J: Please teach me how to play Shogi. It would be more interesting if you have an opponent to play with.**
E: No need. There'll be no hesitating (talking about Junko?) if I play with the computer.
J: ...
J: I want to help Kurusu-san (representing her as her lawyer?)... she might reject it though.
E: *looked at her ~~helplessly~~*
E: Aoto-san. Do you have a boyfriend?
J: *surprised* *looked at him straightaway*
E: What kind of romance did you have before?
J: What's the matter?
E: Nothing really. I was just trying to have an interesting conversation.
J: *recalls their conversation before*
J: H-ah? ...... *giggles*
E: *looks baffled* *Junko still giggling* That's enough.

Ahh.. that scene where Junko ran out of Enomoto's workplace after Enomoto shared about who he thought is the culprit.. I dunno why.. I like that scene.. it made me somewhat feel glad they chose Toda Erika :)

And... Junko reminded Enomoto not to stare at cute girls twice lol

I feel like there's less Serizawa involvement in this episode... in the beginning, he asked Junko to consult Enomoto for the closed room mystery so that the police stop thinking of him as a suspect. Maybe... more like there were less scenes of Serizawa tagging along lol.. but it looks like Junko is having fun meeting Enomoto (without Serizawa's "supervision" XD).. She was so cute when she mimicked Enomoto's unlocking gestures ...

Also, I love a fast-talking Ohno! :D

Surprisingly, I'm not annoyed with Aibu Saki this time.. it was a decent performance. I guess it's because her character here isn't the cutesy type..

...& Maou reunion lol.. It does feel different watching Enomoto & Oshinari's character together... Feels like I can forget that Enomoto is played by the same person who played Naruse XD.. there weren't much interaction really.. Just Enomoto asking his character some questions about the victim...

OMG.. next eps looks fun!

p/s: Seems like Ukaji-san's character will be a recurring character... He's acting as a police detective again (same role like in Strawberry Night last season :D). This role exists in the original novels, his nickname is ハゲコウ(Hagekou).

p/s2: Director Kato, who worked on this episode, is also responsible for Eps 4. I don't think there's much difference though...really.. both directors are good.. except for that editing (the blackouts?)..

Why can't I stop saying "kawaii" whenever cat-Holmes shows up..???? XD

So.. The classic family feud mystery huh. Oh yeah. I thought Mikeneko only have one scriptwriter (Omiya).. this episode is created by a another scriptwriter.. I'm not skilled enough to see the quality of the script.. it just reminded me of one of @yamakaze0672's tweets where she saw ppl complaining about the script in her Twitter timeline...

Anyway.... seems like this episode wants to show that Yoshitaro can't always depend on Holmes alone to solve cases (though it wasn't really like that in the previous two episodes).. He was totally lost when people asked him what he thought of the current case.

Also... I find it annoying how Yoshitaro's siblings kept pushing him to do detective work etc.. I admit, it was kind of funny in the beginning but after watching this episode, I became irritated. Why force him do something he doesn't want to/isn't good at? Why ignore Yoshitaro's feelings? Just because it's what their father want one of them to be?

I was a bit surprised this case is a two-parter... hehe.. anyway.. I suspect it's all Keiko's doing.

And poor Ishizu.. he fell sick in this episode :/
