Wow, talk about a dream project. I'm going to have to go to Memorial Stadium to see this for myself. Back in November (right before the victory over Oklahoma, as it were) the University dedicated a room in the North Stadium Complex for a totally immersive media experience. Video and graphics, done by DAAKE in collaboration with Contrivium Design & Urbanism, Inc. and The Mixing Room, make an homage to our three Heisman winners. In the arms race that is the building of collegiate athletic facilities, I wonder who else has something like this? Why would I not be surprised if Texas is now building their own OMNIMAX dome to wow recruits?

First, this isn't Zach writing. He's out for a honeymoon. (Congrats, man!) Additionally, he's got a new house to put the finishing touches on, and it's getting busier at the office -- so the guy needs some bloggin' help. So I'm taking over for awhile, and will keep on posting some once he gets back, too.

Second, just who the hell am I? Kevin Fitzgerald is the name; I'm an art director at Thought District in Lincoln. My story is pretty similar to Zach's: just a young son of a gun trying to learn as much as I can about the design industry. I get a kick seeing what the local peeps have to offer -- which in my opinion is way sharper than this flyover state should be expected to have. Go us!

I'm gonna see what I can do about putting the spotlight on individual designers and ad folk in the area, so stay tuned for that. In the mean time, got some back-logged updates on agency work to post soon. Check back in a bit for the real news!
