Uniform Civil Code is a distant dream

What the govt can rather do is, restrict marriage under Muslim personal law to only those born Muslim — both Bride and Groom should be born in Muslim families. If either of the two is born outside Muslim family, the marriage should be under UCC.

Once you marry under UCC, you are no longer eligible for marriage under Muslim personal law for the rest of your life. This should address love jihad to a great extent.
