HP Mini 2140

I’ve had cause recently to pick up a new laptop. I didn’t want to go to the expense of buying a hamburger with the lot and truth be told, i don’t need that level of computing at the moment anyway.

With a combination of size and performance being the major concerns i started shopping around the increasingly popular “Mini PC” market and after some due diligence settled on the HP Mini 2140.

How’s that for a headline too by the way, MJ dying this morning?!

It takes a while getting used to the lower screen resolution and the keyboard is probably 80% if not more the size of a full size PC.

It runs on XP although lots of people seem to have opted for Mac OS, which is an after market install.

Spec wise it’s got a 1.6Ghz processor, with 1Gb memory and a 160Gb hard drive. It does the job.

For the price they’re a great little PC.

You can get them from about 30,000 yen and up to 80,000 depending on what you’re after, the HP Mini 2140 from yodobashi costs a bit under 60,000.

Sashimi In Shibuya

I went for a bite to eat with a friend last night a Sashimi place in Dogenzaka.

I generally go the easy options when i eat raw fish … Nigiri Sushi and nothing too adventerous at that. Last night i wasn`t in charge of the menu so it was a bit out of my comfort zone.

Despite my initial hesitation i gave everything a go and enjoyed most of it.

The cooked fish head was right up my alled though, had it a few times and recommend it to anyone.

But when push comes to shove i guess i tend to go places i`m a bit more familiar with the whole menu, like last Friday nights Yakatori … fantastic.

Been a bit slow around here these days due to some work issues keeping away from regular posting.

That will be over soon so it will be back to normal …. when maybe not “normal” but i`ll be writing a bit more.Similar Posts:

Thanks to regular reader DougYoonK i’ve been able to appreciate the beauty of Isoyama Sayaka 磯山さやか who entered the world on the 23rd of October 1983.

Actress and Model, Sayaka likes karaoke, watching high school baseball games, and learning about idols.

Born in Hokota, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan her nickname is Isocchi (いそっち)

Special talents include Baton, trumpet, rollerblading, sign language, and spinning plates.

I love this shot, hopefully that bikini features prominently on the beaches of Japan this summer.

She’s not bad at English either scoring a level 3 in the Society for Testing English Proficiency (1 being highest out of 5).

That’s a bit sexy isn’t it.

Sayaka is definitely a beautiful woman.

Flight Control iPhone Game

By far my favourite game on the iPhone is Flight Control so when i saw that New Airfields had arrived i couldn’t download it quick enough.

I often wondered why there was a need for a 5 digit number in the score, considering I’ve only ever reached 100 on 3 occasions and currently have a highest score of 154 which gives me “1st Officer Status”

The you go to YouTube and type in Flight Control and see guys like this belting out scores of greater than 10000. Some serious time on the iPhone to get that high a score, time i just don’t have at the moment.

So if you’re a Flight Control fan then get over to iTunes and download the update right away.

OK, So i know it’s Friday and there’s no J-Babe Of The Week ….. I’ve been busy of late and will be for a while yet, with some changes expected around here. The J-Babe Of The Week will be back … just not every week.Similar Posts:

When i first came to Japan i was excited about getting a mobile phone that could do more than the ones back home, like hold money which i could use to pay for goods and services at different places.

I have no idea the technology to implement this feature was so basic.

I’ve been a bit busy of late, and will be over the next few weeks too but on Tuesday I had some time at home and watched the Tyson documentary.

He’s gone through some massive things in his life, good bad right and wrong and looked like he finally had it all together and then this week tragically loses a child …. terrible shame.

Karaoke happens in 2 main types of places in Japan, the Karaoke Box and the Snack Bar …. i prefer the Snack myself, they’re always full of great characters and never a dull moment.

So when i saw this diagram via Tokyo Mango on the weekend i did have to laugh at the accuracy of it all.

Japans’ and indeed my own love of Alcohol often results in Karaoke.

However, for the most part i’m never so drunk that i fall off my bar stool

By special request from reader Rush, this weeks J-Babe is 23 yr old Aya Kiguchi 木口亜矢 … and it’s the first time I’ve had the pleasure of researching her work.

Very little information on Aya surfaced itself through my searches, so i guess I’ll just let the pics do the talking.

Aya does a lot of bikini work.

Makes me want to go swimming.

She has a beautiful smile.

Maybe a warning to potential suitors.

Loving the denim bikini, probably not all that practical though.
