Every urban dweller has got problems with space. At least for me! Sweden furniture giant, IKEA has come up with several fun-to-watch, ingenious clips that makes you wanna make a trip down to IKEA today! :)

「部屋は狭すぎる、なにもできない！」って、みんなはよく言われます。

でも実際に、スペースを有効に使用できれば、狭いのスペースは理想的な空間を作れます。

今回、スウェーデン家具通販IKEAは省スペースイデアのビデオを作りました。

Both born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Yael Mer & Shay Alkalay have officially come together in collaboration to form [Raw Edges Design Studio]. Upon their graduation show at the Royal College of Art in 2006, they have won many huge recognition in product design and installations. Here are some of my favourite pieces!

The Milk Carton
These three different milk cartons distinguish between the rates of fat in the milk by using form rather then colour. The form of the milk cartons reflects in a way on the milk’s texture and smoothness. The two back folds are used as the carton's handle, while the two in the front function as the spout.

ザ・ミルクカートン

ミルクカートンのデザインは三つがあります。ミルクの脂肪量を識別方法は色じゃなくて；むしろ、カートンの形です。

Pivot
Built with solid wood, the Pivot cabinet stands on tall legs and features two drawers. The innovative aspect of this cabinet is that the drawers can hinge, making it possible to open both at the same time, which is impossible with a conventional set of drawers.

Pivot整理たんすは一般たんすと違いがあります。たんすはちょうつがいを使っているから、同時に開けれますってポイントです！

Hole in the Floor
A very clever ensemble and resemblance of vertical drawers literally sliced at the bottom, forming an illusion of them sinking into the ground.

Yayoi Kusama's one of my all-time favourite artists! Her current exhibition "Eternity of Eternity Eternity" is now at The National Museum of Art, Osaka.
草間弥生最新の創作活動を紹介する展覧会「草間弥生　永遠の永遠の永遠」は国立国際美術館に開催しています！

In this current exhibition, Yayoi Kusama's latest works are on display, with most of these pieces making a worldwide debut. Definitely worth a visit!
今回、これら平面作品に加えて、新作の彫刻作品も展示しています。展示中の作品は多くが世界初公開となるものです！５月に東京行く時、時間あるなら見に行きたい！

My Favourite Sushi Place, すし辰

Having my dose of Sushi at Sushi-tatsu when I visit Hiroshima is always very satisfying!

去年広島に行った時、H-ちゃんと広島市にあるの回転すし「すし辰」に食事しました。すし辰のすしは新鮮で、すごくおいしかった！＊H-ちゃん、おすすめありがとう！

Monkfish Liver Sushi
アン肝

Sushi in Japan is very different from sushi you find elsewhere. You will never find avocado or frozen crab sticks served on rice, and the international sushi item of California Maki, does not exist at all. My favourite one from Sushi-Tatsu is An-kimo sushi (photo above), also known in English as the Monkfish Liver sushi. Another favourite of mine is the Matsutake Chawanmushi (Matsutake mushroom Egg custard). Chunky generous seafood and matsutake, the perfectly steamed egg custard is infused with the taste of matsutake broth, accompanied by the sweetness of fresh seafood.

I love souvenirs from Sunday Paper! They're not the conventional fugly souvenirs with zero typography and weird photoshop-ed awkward pictures and photos of animals that I used to hate. Sass Cocker from Ask Alice Stationery, made it really cool with her range called Sunday Paper!

メルボルン国際空港にサンデーペーパーを発見しました！普段につまんないおみやげは全然買わないですけど、サンデーペーパーのおみやげは結構かわいいとオシャレから、買いたくなった！

Greatly influenced by her love for Australia (particularly her hometown Melbourne), Sass wanted good Australian-made and themed souvenirs for friends from abroad! They're not only made in Australia, they're also made from eco-friendly materials and are wrapped nicely with bio-degradable, earth friendly packaging!

There has been many debate on what this eye-catching sculpture on Swanston Walk actually symbolizes. Because of the orientation of the sculpture facing away from the pedestrians and towards the streets, the Melbourne City Urban Design Unit's question was, "Is it sinking in cultural decline or bursting through the pavement in renaissance?". How would you interpret this sculpture?

This painted street lamp is found right next to the sculpture. Very pretty details and painted street lamps do lift the streets up with colours!

Geelong's Festival of Sails over the Australia Day holiday period was great fun! We enjoyed the celebrations and took a walk around the showgrounds!

At dusk, we managed to view the Australia Day fireworks along the Geelong Waterfront from my sister's apartment rooftop! How awesome is that! It was like a private space without all that partying crowd! I took a video of the fireworks but I'm still on my way to uploading it onto Youtube. I'll share with everyone once it's uploaded!

Empire Grill

We had a good sit-down dinner at Empire Grill, 66 McKillop Street. It serves a menu of modern Australian cuisine with European & Asian influences, while using the freshest ingredients in the region. It was our first visit to this restaurant and we're pampered by warm service and an amazing gastronomical experience!

We each had a main to ourselves, and an appetizer and dessert for sharing. It was just the right amount of food for 2 girls.

The appetizer was pan-fried succulent scallops that were perfect with the lemon paste and salsa verde!

The mains of a seared kangaroo sirloin was really tasty and perfectly executed and coupled with beetroot puree. The twice roasted duckling was one of the most impressive dishes of all! Tender moist and fragrant duck meat coupled with cripsy thick rosti, yummy!

The dessert was good too with crispy pastry and fragrant sweet tropical fruits medley!

Seared Kangaroo Sirloin, beetroot puree, caraway sponge, honeyed mushrooms

Twice Roasted Duckling, Rosti Potato, Clove Labna, Orange Blossom

Breakfast at James Street Bakery was awesome on a Tuesday morning! I loved the relaxing traditional coffeeshop interiors and the nice people at the bakery!

We had Iced Mocha which was so good! We also had 2 breakfast mains of a Poached Eggs on Sourdough with Smoked Salmon, and a ham & cheese with spinach on sourdough topped with a gorgeous fried egg. Certainly one of the best brekkies in Geelong City that you've got to try! They too have an array of pastries and macarons that are certainly worth a bite! It's a pity that our stomach couldn't fit them all in, but a macaron... and it was good! :)

Rushbrooks Cafe was fantastic! I absolutely loved the homely and friendly atmosphere, and the gorgeous food! Fresh ingredients, generous yet just-right portions are definitely worth a trip!

For drinks, we had mocha with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and whipped cream which left the girls asking for more! I had the hot chocolate and boy, was it one of the best ones I've ever had! Smooth, and not-too-sweet unlike some hot chocolates that makes you feel ousted after half the cup.

飲み物のご注文は贅沢なバニラアイス入りモカ、ホットショコラでした。両方もちょうおいしかったで、ちょうおすすめです！

We were terribly late for brekkie and therefore we had lunch instead. We picked a few items and we enjoyed them all very much! Fresh and generous ingredients, they tasted really homely, like what your granny used to make in their country kitchens filled with fresh herbs and eggs from her backyard.

最初に朝ご飯を食べにいくつもりだったけど、時刻しまったので代わりにランチを食べになりました。ご注文の単品は全部すごくおいしかった！田舎に住んでいるおばちゃんの料理の暖かい味を感じています。
