Rare Sanskrit Manuscript

How do you actually value an ancient manuscript which dates back to the 18th century? Are there scholars around who can actually read and decipher every word and illustrations in it? This is my strange journey into the world of collectibles. Philatelic, Numismatic and now into Manuscripts. It's simply fascinating. Anyone who knows of any collectors of such ancient manuscripts, please let me know. I am trying to find a good home for something that may mean a lot. Something that explains the existence of human beings in the planet and their life after death, the way rituals are to be performed etc etc. I'm not an expert and would like to know more. The scroll itself is 15 feet long and has many scholars interested in it.

XBox Kinect

Another gadget after the iPhone that kept me awestruck was when I first played the "Your Total Fitness Evolved" game in Xbox Kinect. It was awesome! I just couldn't gather the fact that camera sensor was scanning my body and could detect each and every move that I made. Wii was fun but nowhere close the Kinect's physical fitness games!!

Trying to follow your fitness instructor in the screen got me out of breath in no time. Even though I was a regular gym goer, 15 minutes of cardio got me panting! The fact that I could see myself in the screen and then coordinating with my virtual train er with a grueling task. I recommend this game to everyone and trust me, you won't regret it! I canceled my gym membership and have been feeling better than ever!!

Finished my Real Estate Salesperson Exam with flying colors. Need a change in career or perhaps a method to generate some extra income. With the home price dipping and the Real Estate Market plummeting, hopefully I made the right decision!! I personally believe that the markets will bounce back and its gonna be a big bounce!!

There are about more than a hundred immigrants coming to the US every HOUR, fast forward a few years.....everything's gonna be fine!

So now the Gays have a reason to rejoice in California......the Gay-marriage ban's been overturned!! How "gay" can Gay get with such good news? Over Gay? Thank you folks for also overturning the life long definition of 'Marriage', which meant,a union between a man and a woman!

I just happened to check the meaning of "Marriage" in dictionary.com and was surprised to see that it also acknowledges the same sex marriage....bravo!

Robbery

Usually we get robbed during the holiday season but perhaps the recession has taken its toll on the burglars too.......Yeah, we got robbed yesterday in one of our stores, the same guy who did our other store a week ago......this is happening so often that even the whole robbery squad, detectives and cops recognize me! Nothing that I'm proud of. Anybody know who this guy is?? Any tips will help us put this person behind bars!

On June 20th, Ujjwal will be running the ‘Mount Washington Road Race’ in New Hampshire to raise funds for the Namje School Scholarship Fund. The race is 7.6 miles long with nearly 5000 feet of climb. Namje is a cozy little town in the eastern hills of Nepal, not too far from his hometown, Dharan. He visited Namje when he was in Nepal in November 2008. Namje school is the only school in this scenic village. There are a lot of energetic and smart kids in Namje but a lot of these kids have been deprived of education due to the lack of financial support.

The proceeds from the fundraiser are going to benefit promising but poor children in Namje School. Therefore, we were wondering if you could donate and support him and be a part of this noble cause. Anger Management

Last year in November, I was celebrating my birthday with some of my good friends or perhaps what I thought of them then. It was a pleasant night and I sure did have fun. But as alcohol takes control of our heads, we tend to degrade ourselves to a totally repelling and unjustifiable level. Thus, a fight broke out amidst friends and as I was playing the mediator, desperately trying to break the fight, I was rewarded with handcuffs. Amidst the hustle and bustle, I may have shoved an officer and he took me in despite my pitiful plea of innocence. Perhaps, in his mind, justice was served.

Oh did I forget to mention that even my brother, his girlfriend and another friend who is as close as a brother was arrested too? Their mistake: Trying to talk to the officer stating my innocence!! SO MUCH FOR A BARGAINING PLEA! It was quite a birthday gift; being arrested for trying to restore peace; nearly tasered for saying “I didn’t do nothing” and a few hours in the cell! Interesting, huh? We were charged with Breach of Peach and interfering with the officer.

Well after 4 months of constant visits to the court and after hiring three lawyers the court decided to gives us an AR (Accelerated Rehabilitation), a once in a life chance to make things right. During this period, we have to stay out of trouble of any kind. I am the only one among the four required to take Anger management class! It’s 13 classes, a class every week!

A short thin old man probably in his 70s with dyed reddish hair, thick spectacle over his nose barely able to walk without complaining about his joints and back is my Anger Management Consular. He is always mad and always looking out the window the minute we walk into the class. I later found out that he was on the lookout for his bosses’ car. The minute the car wasn’t there, he would let us go whether it was 5 minutes of class or 30. Well this is the class I have to attend paying $35 per class. Does it really help me? Of course not! What if I really needed the anger management treatment? Everybody tells me that I have become angrier after I have started attending that class. Well I have!!

Mundane Existence?

Last year I made sure I posted one post a day (at least) but then time passed by and here I am, hesitant and unwillingly reluctant on writing about anything! Sometimes I get laden with myriad habits of thoughts of living in the world of going to do with very less done, a fad I should say, but at least it gets me going and then coming back into it to complete. A mundane existence I should say or just my habit to revel in optimism!

I don't live with one resolution a year, in fact, I got one every month or perhaps everyday (I should say)! Now am I going to promise myself to post something everyday today onwards? Absolutely not, cause I'll get caught! As every imperfect human being, I like to cheat, lie and go the other way sometimes, without getting caught!! Don't you???

Well, Himalayan Night once again came into existence in the University of Bridgeport. I attended it yesterday and it sure did rekindle the nostalgic feelings whilst in school. Watching the current antsy Nepalese students in their quest to bring about perfection in the long awaited pageantry of culture and tradition just took me down memory lane! It was fun and we did manage to pass the baton onto the later generation!

While driving, doesn’t it annoy you when someone takes a turn without having his signals on? I get vexed, infuriated and stupefied by such drivers. The sudden deceleration after a steady speed to make a turn (without signal) puts me in peril and wonder if it is so strenuous to flick your fingers, indicate and drive on? Morons!

Armed Robbery!

One of our stores got robbed yesterday! Armed robbery, just like the movies! Three masked men enter the Subway restaurant and demand money from the clerk and the seven customers who were already in there ordering food, having them lay flat on the floor!

They looked professional and sure were quick. But their efforts, in vain, walking away with just about $136 and a customer’s Coach Handbag, who did not fail to boast about its originality and the huge stack of cash that she was carrying. Just a minute before the raid she was broke, expressing her harsh life tale to the clerk working her way towards a free meal.

To come back to the burglars, leave us alone! We do not carry too much money in the register, not enough to buy you dope for sure!

A tragic end to a career just blossoming! Heath Ledger’s death came as a surprise when my brother text me with the news. I kind of liked him for the roles he played, not that he portrayed my story in any of his movies, but just the kind of a person he was, drew my likeness towards him. Of course my girl’s a big fan, so she was of Kurt Cobain, whose death too, was devastating, an end to the production of great music, something that can never be imitated or reproduced in any way possible. Nirvana, the band that rocked the world and would have continued to do so even today! Heath, perhaps, was on the verge of doing so in the world of acting but the end came just too early, too early for his well wisher to digest!
