The phone itself looks pretty sturdy yet sleek. It has a 3-inch QYGA display above the keyboard and a 2-megapixel camera which is mounted on the rear of the phone. While it’s not a huge tablet, that would allow you to play complicated games like partypoker on, it does have an impressive focus on gaming, with the press release highlighting Samsung’s Game Hub. The phone measures 59.3 x 118.9 x 11.7mm and weighs in at just 112g, so it should be easy to carry around in pockets and to slip into bags.

While some people may say that QWERTY keyboards are losing popularity, with RIM even ditching the design for the Blackberry 10, Samsung clearly think that this leaves a gap in the market. However, to make sure they cover all of their bases, they have equipped the Samsung Galaxy Chat with a touchscreen as well. It is expected to be released later on in July, starting with the European markets and then spreading throughout the rest of the world. Samsung have reportedly said that the pricing will be competitive so it will be interesting to see how much handsets end up going for. Giving this new handset a physical QWERTY keyboard is a brave step from Samsung and only time will tell whether it can compete with the rest of the market.

Batteries that can supply more power for longer periods of time tend to cost much more- therefore, you should only use it for your most important devices.
