I’m not a follower of western religions; I practice Daoism (Tao). I have since the early ‘60’s, more of the philosophy than the religious aspects, but they cannot easily be separated.
I heard this saying in childhood; I had to look it up to source it.

“They Sow the Wind, and Reap the Whirlwind”

Hosea 8:1-14

Camp meeting folks could readily quote it, I suspect and know the true meaning.
Daoist’s avoid this situation; it is corruption based on a false society. One cannot live life with Politically Correct Lies.
To do so gives you Ft. Hood. Never can we escape the consequences of our actions.

From the US Constitution:
Article III
Section 3.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

The greatest damnation is the whirlwind of Political Correctness.

If some cracker shot up a black church, GLAD headquarters or Burkahville mosque, the MSM would have run out of clean underwear in 45 minutes.
This raghead shoots up our troops and “We shouldn’t “jump” to conclusions,” according to our Clown in Chief.
Political Correctness also gives you 9-11, Waco, Ruby Ridge, Washington, DC among other black marks.

We, as a nation, have sown the wind. We are now beginning to reap the whirlwind.

We measure every thing we do with the metric of Political Correctness. In our diverse, multicultural universe, no one may be profiled or examined for harmful/dangerous proclivities except white Christian individuals voting conservative.

I have yet to hear any brimstone munching Baptist stand in a crowded public place screaming, “Jesus Saves!” and unload magazines of semi-auto fire into the populace.
I’ll extend this exclusion to Jews, Catholics, all of the Protestant groups and the Native American “churches.”

They seek to rescue their society and culture from the moral and spiritual cesspool the soulless created. For that, the MSM vilifies all attempts.

One doesn’t have to believe in God to fear the coming storm.
Try Newton’s third Law of Motion

Okay, joke. Four militants with AK-47’s go into a cave in Kashmir….And one militant starts to mix up a package of Lemon My*T*Fine pudding for the four of them…

A bear comes into the cave. It’s, like, his den…so he gets really pissed off and kills two of the militants, seriously hurts another militant and chases the fourth militant away…

Somebody from the UN shows up and levies a fine against the two surviving militants for feeding the bear.

Okay, I made the last thing up, but it’s funny anyway.

Can somebody explain why they still needed to discuss this excellent conference that nobody cares about in the midst of a tragedy with national security implications? May God help us because we’ve elected a total moron to run the country.

This “On the Right” sidebar piece from the American Digest asks,

Guess Who

The Russians think he’s a Putz.

The French think he’s rude. The Germans want him to stop spending. The Indians want him to mix his nose out of their environmental business. The North Koreans think he’s a joke. The Iranians won’t acknowledge his calls. And the British can’t even come up with a comprehensive opinion of him.

As for the Chinese, he’s too frightened to even glance their way.

The editorial answering all is here in “I Told You So – Yes I Did”.

Included are some possibly serious scenarios such as:

OBAMA WILL PROBABLY NOT FINISH HIS 4-YEAR TERM, at least not in a conventional way.

He is such a political HORROR-SHOW, and so detrimental to the USA and his own Democratic Party, that the Democrats themselves will either FORCE him to resign or figure out a way to have him thrown out.

Who knows, maybe he really isn’t a BORN US Citizen and that’s a way the Democrats will be able to get rid of him.

The new Obama chant soon will be:

Social engineering laws of all stripe are in the province of the electorate. Legislators proved to be open to bribes, graft, pressure and outright pusillanimity by circumventing the will of the voters, producing a tyranny of the minority.

The Constitutions of the US and the States are limited in scope just for this reason.

Marriage is the province of the church. The Government should not discriminate by conferring tax benefits on anyone because of their habitation proclivities. All survivorship rights can be arranged by legal documents, leaving the government out of any say in conjugal pairings.

Churches should marry, they consider it a sacrament. If one doesn’t like the Creeds of your church, join the Cafeteria Church. That seems to be how important religion has become for many.

Things aren’t looking so hot for Hoffman, the upstart conservative candidate, in NY-23. However, even if he loses, conservatives and the Republican Party, even if they don’t know it, are still way, way ahead of the game.

What kind of Congresswoman was Sozzafava going to be? She endorsed the Democrat after the Republican Party spent $900 large on her. She also supported the stimulus and favored card check. She was poised to be the Olympia Snowe of the House providing a Republican fig leave for an out of control Democratic majority.

Being Democratlite isn’t good enough anymore. Republicans have to start offering real, conservative alternatives to the Democrats spiraling out of contol nanny statism.

Update: Also, the Republicans need to consider their branding. If they’re going to return to their small, responsible government roots, that brand can’t handle Scossafava type candidates. California is a perfect example. The GOP embraced Arnold, and what did they get for their troubles? Just egg on their face with a bumbling “Republican” governor who’s driving the state right into the ground. That’s working out great for the GOP brand, eh?

Robert Gibbs gave the media its talking points on today’s elections–everyone worships The One and Democratic losses mean nothing. However, that’s a really interesting interpretation when voters’ number one issue is the economy:

NJ voters ranked the economy and jobs as their No. 1 issue, with 31% of voters telling pollsters that issue mattered most to them.

and

In VA, the economy and jobs (46%) far outpaced health care (25%), taxes (14%) and transportation (8%).

And, HORRORS, the voters are starting to view this as Obama’s economy:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 49% still blame the economic situation on the recession that began under Bush. But 45% now say the nation’s economic problems are caused more by Obama’s policies.

President Obama’s “blame Bush” strategy always had a limited shelf life. The only question was how long would voters accept that cop out. Today’s results are a shot across the bow that the voters are watching and don’t see a lot in the Democrats’ agenda aimed at turning the economy around.

Their skepticism that taxes and massive new entitlement programs will restore the economy is well founded. I expect an even larger message will have to be sent in ‘10 because Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are radical left-wing idealogues incapable of centrist governance.

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is directly to blame for taxpayers’ loss of $2.3 billion in the CIT bailout, says professor William Black of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and a former federal bank regulator.

“We put ourselves on the hook in a completely inept way where we lose first. We lose entirely as the taxpayers.”

Black specifically faults Geithner for negotiating an arrangement in which CIT can repay its senior creditors 70 cents on the dollar in bankruptcy, but taxpayers are completely left out in the cold for their investment.

When Geithner pumped taxpayers’ money into CIT this summer, “it’s like he burned billions of dollars again in government money, our money, gratuitously,” Black said.

With the inundation of cash, the NEA embarked on a cultural spree of unparalleled largess since Da Vinci got his first jumbo box of crayons.
Thanks to Rocco Landesmann, the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, this funding brings The Seismic Sextet to Vermont.

Festivities at the Flynn replete with imported Chinese Brie, sugar coated Concord grapes and of course, Vermont’s fine wines of the current month are situated throughout the lobby.

Swarming sycophants of all stripes look to get on camera; better yet, be seen conversing with the famed Native American performing Arts critic, Quattro Yeux who will be reviewing the show for his online column “A Muse ing Notes”.

In the highly acclaimed “Dance for Hunger Tour” of Eritrea and Darfur, the Seismic Sextet gave this sensitive, caring performance to thousands of inadvertent dieters, who congregated in stupefied rapture. The sheer enormity of the production nearly drove some attendees to cannibalism.

This performances, Yeux notes, “The solo drummer greets attendees of the Seismic Sextet solo performance of their signature routine, ‘Danse des citrouilles biologiques’ honoring the arrival of Great Organic Gourd and the Harvest, but it is soon lost in the ponderous primal pulsations on stage.” Continuing he says, “The initial beefy steps in the circular opening soon gains a tempo which has the patrons clutching their armrests with more than wide-eyed expectation.”

Spontaneous directional reversals combined with springing arabesque penchée deliver booming counterpoints to the tight pirouettes and plies. The handsprings simply stun; so much movement in space/ not space on stage.
The dancers rapidly lift audience anticipation as the movement reaches its crescendo, in a finale of capacious booming that sways huge chandeliers, shakes aged dust from the risers bringing down parts of the house.

Exiting theater goers appeared speechless, a bit dusty and dazed from the show. One Burlington arts dilettante commented of the routine saying, “I didn’t think it was possible to fit all that on one stage! Jeezus, no wonder there’s world hunger.”

A return engagement for the “Rites of Spring” production will be issued if structural engineers declare the Burlington Flynn Theater safe.
Meanwhile, the troupe will make the rounds of the major colleges and universities in the area, to receive toadying adulation from the liberal and politically correct faculties.

By Nouriel Roubini
[snip]
This recovery in risky assets is in part driven by better economic fundamentals. We avoided a near depression and financial sector meltdown with a massive monetary, fiscal stimulus and bank bail-outs. Whether the recovery is V-shaped, as consensus believes, or U-shaped and anaemic as I have argued, asset prices should be moving gradually higher.

But while the US and global economy have begun a modest recovery, asset prices have gone through the roof since March in a major and synchronised rally. While asset prices were falling sharply in 2008, when the dollar was rallying, they have recovered sharply since March while the dollar is tanking. Risky asset prices have risen too much, too soon and too fast compared with macroeconomic fundamentals. [snip]

But one day this bubble will burst, leading to the biggest co-ordinated asset bust ever: if factors lead the dollar to reverse and suddenly appreciate – as was seen in previous reversals, such as the yen-funded carry trade – the leveraged carry trade will have to be suddenly closed as investors cover their dollar shorts. A stampede will occur as closing long leveraged risky asset positions across all asset classes funded by dollar shorts triggers a co-ordinated collapse of all those risky assets – equities, commodities, emerging market asset classes and credit instruments.

Why will these carry trades unravel? First, the dollar cannot fall to zero and at some point it will stabilise; when that happens the cost of borrowing in dollars will suddenly become zero, rather than highly negative, and the riskiness of a reversal of dollar movements would induce many to cover their shorts. Second, the Fed cannot suppress volatility forever – its $1,800bn purchase plan will be over by next spring. Third, if US growth surprises on the upside in the third and fourth quarters, markets may start to expect a Fed tightening to come sooner, not later. Fourth, there could be a flight from risk prompted by fear of a double dip recession or geopolitical risks, such as a military confrontation between the US/Israel and Iran. As in 2008, when such a rise in risk aversion was associated with a sharp appreciation of the dollar, as investors sought the safety of US Treasuries, this renewed risk aversion would trigger a dollar rally at a time when huge short dollar positions will have to be closed. [snip]

The Obama administration is more and more like Jimmy Carter’s every day. Here’s Treasury Secretary Geithner making the case for economic malaise:

“But this is going to be a different recovery than in the past because Americans are going to have to save more. A lot of damage was caused by this crisis. It’s going to take some time for us to grow out of this.

“It could be a little choppy. It could be uneven. And it’s going to take awhile,” Geithner said.

I’m also calling for a “different recovery”–as in none, nada, niente, aucun, etc. Just look at the macro economic policies this administration favors:

Taxes, taxes, taxes—trillions for healthcare, global warming, bailouts, etc.

Debt monitization

Foreign debt sales

Expiration of the Bush tax cuts

Trillions in unfunded Medicare and Social Security obligations

I don’t know what the stock market will do on Monday, but I do feel pretty comfortable in saying the long-term looks bleak. Geithner agrees with my assessment too. He just uses words like “choppy” and ”different recovery”.

The Community Organizer-in-Chief doesn’t have the first clue about how the real economy works. That’s why I’m not looking for a recovery or more jobs. This guy simply isn’t up to the job.
