One week from today...

HUGE changes are coming to digibutter.nerr. This is just the beginning of many cool things to come. In some ways, it will be a loss of features from the current site. There will be no coins, items, shops, tournaments, RP alts, or arcade. These features will come back over time, but at first we will be going back to the basics: discussions

What you will be able to do in the new site:
Create posts & comments much faster & easier than before.
"Like" posts & see posts that your friends liked.
Create new message boards.
View posts from message boards you care about.
Hide people that bother you.
Group message boards and people how ever you want.
View the latest gaming news, auto-posted from various sites.
Select from multiple styles.
Change your name whenever you want.
Read new posts & comments without having to refresh the page.

It's been a long wait, so thanks for being patient. I haven't added many features to this site because I wanted to focus on the new one. It may feel like a step backwards in many ways, but trust me, this will be much better in the long run.

Disguise Kit!
You will able to equip this kit and and then choose who you want to be. All posts made while wearing the kit will appear to be from that user until you take it off or you are attacked. The kit is currently in production in the top-secret digibutter labs and should be ready in a week. Oh the chaos this will bring!

NERR-LSD tied in the voting, but I doubt anyone would actually use an item like that, plus it would be really hard to make. I may see if I can add a [rainbow] bbcode or something though.

Punch-Out!! Matchup Generator

Also, I created the Punch-Out!! Matchup Generator which will create a customized screenshot of the classic match-up screen.

You can define the match name, Doc's advice, and your opponent (including the image)!

Beta Designerr Contest

I thought it would be fun to hold a contest on who can design a hi-technicaaal look for the beta site. http://digibeta.nerr.biz

My vision of the site is a pixelated style, much like the current digibutter banner. So it would be nice if you can keep it in that kind of general theme, but it's not a requirement. Feel free to change whatever you want, like add avatars or a menu bar.

There are a couple ways you can create a design:

Download this stripped-down example page, and edit the HTML or, ideally, use a CSS stylesheet if you have experience with that sort of thing.
Or if you don't have any HTML skillz, just edit a screenshot of the current beta page.
Or create something from scratch.

I look forward to seeing your ideas, which may be used in the final design!

Two years!
Feels like just yesterday I posted the first digital butterfly. Now the site has over 1000 members with new ones joining almost every day.
This year has been tough though, and we have had some growing pains, but I have good news. A new era of digibutter.nerr is just around the corner!

I can officially announce that the next version of our forums, Nerr 1.5, is almost ready!
