I have almost finished decorating Lola’s room. The big jobs are now done, so it’s all about the detail. We had some furniture and have added to it, but as it’s not matching (and cheap!) the knobs are, quite frankly, disgusting! So I have been hunting around to find some great knobs for her wardrobes and chest of drawers.

The first set pictured are from Etsy seller Dreamscape Designs and cost $25 for 8. Additional knobs are $3.50 each. They also do some fabulous owl knobs too!

The second set are from Little Monkey Murals and cost £3.50 each. The spotty ones would look fab in Lola’s room.

I am a big fan of Alexander Girard, and I adore the home-ware collection. You can buy the ply prints on SCP for £70 each, and they’re all over the place at the moment. The rest of the collection is difficult to get in the UK but with Urban Outfitters USA stocking quilts I’m hoping it wont be long until they reach our fair shores.

I’ve found a little eBay store which I think has some fab shabby chic items. The store is called The Natural Furniture Co. I’m loving the Edwardian Umbrella Parasol, the French Biscuit Tin, the Enamel Bread Bin, the Bunting (I grabbed some of the spotty one (not pictured) for Lola’s bedroom) and the Cherry Blossom Decorative Flask.

I’d recommend you have a good look through their offerings. There are some little gems hidden away and they’re all cheap!

I love all things Rob Ryan and after my quick dash out in the rain a short while ago, I’m convinced it would have been all the more pleasant with this delectable umbrella shielding me from the elements. Designed for Japanese company Afternoon Tea, it features his trademark whimsy and romantic illustrations and a very cool clear panel with a cute bird holding up its brolly, a striking red trim.

Apparently it’s a kids umbrella – bothered-a-clock! I am a big kid! However it is $54.40 (you can nab one from his Etsy shop) which means unlike every other umbrella I’ve ever owned, I couldn’t lose it. Looking this good, I’d have to guard it closely!

You know we love snapping up a bargain, so when I saw the Cookie Numbers Cutter Set (£8) featured over at the Fresh Design Blog from Cox & Cox, I needed to see what else could be snapped up in their Summer Sale!

One of my favourites is the join the dots wallpaper (£20 was £50) – you just paste this original wallpaper to your walls in the usual way, then use pencils or pens to join up the dots!

Another favourite is the Kandelini – they are glass bells for tea lights. I have actually been saving lots of little jars to create this effect … I’ll report back on how I get on. £13.2o.

The character masks we’ve featured on Nest before are in the sale too – and a bargain at £12. I’d suggest you click on over there pretty quickly, as SOLD OUT is beginning to appear on quite a few items!
