Those of you using Getresponse Email Marketing software as your Autoresponder would have noticed a major change. Getresponse version 6.0 is out and is currently being Migrated throughout their list of clients. The new Getresponse Email Marketing version 6.0 has only been out a day now and is therefore a little premature to comment on whether the new version is better than the old.

Only 30 minutes ago I began to write the latest edition of my Success Newsletter to send out to my dearly loved subscribers only to have the ‘test function’ report an error. I am a firm believer and big time advocate of the quote “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it’. With the previous version I would create a new message or broadcast message and ‘test it’ before sending it out to my subscriber list and it would work fine. This ‘test’ function allows you to see what your message will look like in email format before you send it off. I usually test mine a few times making sure the internal links all work & the text is the right size etc. While I’ve never experienced any issues since the day I joined Getresponse (Almost 2 yrs now) I noticed an issue on the new version within 2 minutes which isn’t major but still not good. I have advised the team of this and I’m sure it’ll be fixed before you even read this post! The previous version in this case was in fact great which is why I always recommend it and have no doubt version 6.0 will kick butt.

Here is a YouTube video put out by Getresponse themselves showcasing the new version which looks great.

If you have not started blogging, now is the time to get started with Atomic Blogging 3.0. Already thousands of people around the world are now adapting to blogging as a platform to run their business online. It’s quick & relatively easy and sets you apart from many of the others in your industry. Its an opportunity to start to brand yourself to your target market causing ‘Attraction Marketing‘ to take place. A great resource I have been using is Alvan Phang’s Atomic Blogging System 3.0. There have been previous versions of this system but the 3.0 is the current one and the most advanced. It’s a must for any Blogger or anyone who intends to start a blog regardless of the niche or topic. I personally run 3 blogs and use Atomic Blogging 3.0 on all of them.

I got to know Alvin from his famous Atomic Blogging System. If you do not know Alvin, you should at least check out his famous blog at www.GatherSuccess.com where he earns his living from just blogging online actively! If you do read his blog, you will realized one thing that sets Alvin apart from the rest. And that is that he practices what he preaches as he does make good real money just from blogging on his blog. Alvin just recently launched the Atomic Blogging 3.0 system and I took a look at the system myself and what I can say I am deeply impressed by the amount of details Alvin goes through in his 161 page guide. Atomic Blogging 3.0 teaches you step-by-step how you can create a profitable blog in no time regardless of your targeted Niche. There’s even video tutorials provided to ensure you got everything to set yourself up to create your blog fast and trouble free. It is a great guide regardless of your current experience with blogs. Use it to market yourself, use it to create your own Network Marketing Blog, create a blog specifically about your MLM company or even create a blog which focuses on the products of your company.

Using Capture Page Templates For A Website.

Capture Page Templates are very affordable (sometimes free) and they can save you a lot of effort and time when you want to create a new layout for your website, capture page or blog etc. However, a lot of people make mistakes in the process of choosing and using web templates that they end up with something that was unlike the image they had in mind. Here are some guidelines to help you avoid those mistakes.

The first obvious mistake you should be aware of is using a template that is very popular. I can here you thinking ‘why not use something that has already been proven’?! The thing is if many people use the same template, your website will not appear unique at all and your credibility as a solid, different website will be tarnished. For example, if your main page is an Affiliate site for many of the wonderful products out there, people will see this and know that the site has zero authority because it’s ‘replicated’ and will hit the ‘back button’, I know I personally do this. In other words, you will appear generic just like your next-door neighbors who are all trying to market the same thing!

You cant appear original or unique with these tpyes of Templates either. You also cant convey your personal value to the reader which is of utmost importance.

The whole point of using web templates is to save time and effort. You just change the title and appropriate details and you’re done. The biggest mistake some people make is to customize the template beyond recognition. While that may be good in the sense that you’re creating a unique graphic, you’re defying the very purpose of using a web template which is saving time and effort. So keep changes to a minimum.

However, on the opposite side, if a template you decide to use is suitable but some changes must be made to suit your site’s theme, then you will have to take some time to make the changes. For example, you can find a very nice template that suits your hobby site except the original designer has put an image of stamps in the header. You can find images of people and telephones to replace the stamps for your telecommunications site. However, do only make the necessary changes and don’t redesign the whole template. In some circumstances, some people simply make the wrong choice of templates. This is a very subjective issue but you have to be careful in selecting templates to suit your audience. Do not choose templates just because they are pretty, choose them because they serve your purpose.

10 Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

A good site is one that is remembered. We all remember tv ads and radio ads that have been cleverly crafted or use some kind of jingle or special theme. I was watching Transformers 2 recently and an ad came on for something and mentioned the name “Peter Jackson” Immediately myself and the girl next to me in the cinema who I did NOT know sang the theme song to “Peter Jackson” symaltaneously! Peter Jackson is a men’s suit brand here in Australia! We both laughed at eachother!

1. Be Creative: Following a trend doesn’t make you different, creating a trend does.

2. Be Daring: Push the boundaries and step out of the comfort zone. We like to be pushed but don’t go overboard.

3. Be Funny: But not a comedi

an. Humor shows intelligence and personality.

4. Be a Leader: Who do you notice first in a crowd? Leaders or Followers?

5. Be Sure: Being confident is attractive but don’t be cocky.

6. Seek the Right Attention: Aim for people to remember your positive attributes.

7. Be Respectful: Push boundaries but mind your manners.

8. Be Knowledgeable: Express your areas of expertise quickly so people stay on your site.

9. Show, Don’t Tell: The ones who stand out are the ones who go beyond mere words. (I personally am working on this one)

10. Be Yourself: You really want to stand out in a crowd? Be yourself. There’s no other YOU in this world.

While this post is about Web Templates, it’s important to keep the above 10 steps in check if you want to stand out in a crowd and be remembered.

When Is the Right Time to Redesign A Site?

If you run a website, chances are you often wonder whether it is the right time to do a total redesign of the layout of your website. Network Marketing Blog has just had a redesign so here are some points to consider:

Are you thinking of a redesign just for the sake of it? If you answered yes to that question, it is not yet the right time to do a redesign. Remember, a design serves a specific purpose. If you are not sure whether to do an overhaul of your site, keep in mind that your current design might have a specific purpose that you might not know about. You will lose that function if you do a redesign. On the other hand, if your website has had the same website design since 1990, perhaps it is high time to do a redesign. The last thing you would ever want to happen to your site is when visitors leave your site without taking a look at your content just because the design is old fashioned. If this is your case, here are some points to ponder before doing a redesign.

Redesigning your website is like performing plastic surgery on it. Your website loses its current identity (for the better or worse) and your regular visitors might not recognize your new design at first glance. You risk losing them just because they thought they landed on the wrong page. Hence, it is very important that you retain a characteristic feature from your old layout. Perhaps it is the logo of your site; perhaps it is the same text style for the title for your site. To play it safe, put a poll on your site to let your visitors do the talking. If they think it is necessary for the website to have a fresh look, give it to them! I didnt do this before my resdesign because I KNEW without a shadow of a doubt it needed a redeisgn! Viewers told me!

As you would have already noticed, Network Marketing Blog.com has had a big overhaul! I felt the previous design wasn’t conducive with the overall content and goals for the site. The current version is currently inline with the above.

The theme currently being used is the iBizPress Magazine Theme by TechnologyTricks.com It is a free theme that you can download from the site instantly and get working literally within minutes. I did. After downloading this theme I then went ahead and engaged my good friend Forest Parks from Real Blogging Tips dot Com to modify it and tweak a few things here and there such as:

1. The Newsletter form box on this site is a custom design from the bonuses I received from the Video Squeeze Page Template product whereas the original theme doesn’t have a newsletter box at all.

2. The addition of the Social Networking Icons on the right hand side of the page. This is where you can personally connect with me.

3. The adding of Viral Tweets to each post which allows readers to share the information with all of their Twitter followers at the push of a button. (Great For Viral Marketing, Increasing Traffic & Gaining More Twitter Followers).

4. The creation of a new logo and modifying the Theme to make it fit.

5. A few other odds & ends!

Network Marketing Blog now rewards those who make comments!

We have enabled a feature called “Comment Love”. For those with their own blogs, this software will automatically find your last post and include it in your comments section when you comment on This Blog. This will help drive traffic from this site back to you own provided that your comment & or previous post title captures the attention of those reading it.

The second but more important feature we enabled is that called “Follow”. Most blogs out there are “No Follow” which simply means that Google simply wont follow any of the links contained on a site which is a “No Follow” site and therefore will not help you rank better for a particular keyword. You will be glad to know that Network Marketing Blog is now a “Do Follow” site meaning Google will index your hyperlinks and it will help you rank for your keywords etc. WAIT…There is a catch. The catch is this “Do Follow” system will only follow your links on your second comment. This is intentionally set up to encourage more comments. You can start by leaving your comments below on the new look & feel on this new site layout!!

What do you think of the new look?? Comment below. WE WILL REWARD YOU!

Over time as your team grows you’ll be able to put each person in your team into 1 of 4 categories but before I get to that I want to briefly but accurately give you 2 Principles that I have adopted into my business for its long term sustainability. Watch the Video below. Could you please do me a Favor? Could you comment on the video below in the comments section. It’s my first of many videos and I would like your personal feedback Thanks.

Principle # 1: Identifying your LEADERS.

A true leader makes things happen rather than waits for things to happen.

One of the techniques that I use to determine whether someone is a leader is I give them a book to read. One of my favorite books is by Napolean Hill called “Think & Grow rich” which I’m sure you’ve all surely heard of by now, it’s been around since Jesus was a child. It’s so valuable that I actually give a copy away to those who join my success newsletter, but I’ll get to that later. I will give the potential leader two weeks to read the book and I schedule a time with them to discuss the book. In two weeks either one of two things have happened. Either they have read the book or they have made excuses as to why they haven’t read it. The one’s who read the book are your leaders. Leaders initiate action! They don’t wait! They get things done & they Don’t make excuses. No Exceptions!

Principle #2: Work with those who DESERVE your time, not the ones who Demand & NEED your time

This principle is crucial for you to understand if you are going to be successful long-term in network marketing. Who you spend time with in your organization is going to either make you or break you. As your organization grows, the 80/20 rule will apply. Meaning 80% of your business will be driven by 20% of the organization and 80% of your organization will responsible for only 20% of the revenue. Don’t ask me why this happens it’s not a class I would sign up for! Some things are just the way they are! The 80/20 rule applies across all areas of business. 20% of the team always write 80% of the business.

It’s vitally important to recognize who the 20% are so you can spend your time with them.

This leads me into The 4 Types of People That Are Present In Every Organization, something that was shared with me some time ago.

Type 1. 27% of your organization will be what I call the “Living Dead“. This group are there, but it’s kinda like they’re dead! They show up in your organization and bring nothing but negativity with them. They always complain about everything from the color of the starter kits to the cost of the product. You ask if they want to come out on your boat, and they say something like “No, the Titanic sunk, your little boat will probably sink too”. NEVER! NEVER! allow this group the opportunity to speak within your organization. If you do you will be sorry.

The downside with this group is that these guys make the most noise which gives you the tendency to spend more time with them. Don’t fall for it or you will slowly kill your business.

Type 2. 65% of your business will be your “Faithfuls”. This group will probably never grow a large organization. They may sign up one or two reps if they are lucky but they are lovers of the product and will be on the monthly auto ship or monthly services for life. These are the ones who will follow you to the ends of the earth. They are just glad to belong to the club and are willing to pay to remain a part of the group. These are they who make very little noise which is good.

Type 3. 5% of your organization will be your “Leader Managers”. These are the people with the biggest potential with just one small challenge. They will not initiate action. These are the ones who wait for your command before they do anything. These are the foot soldiers in your organization. They sponsor on a regular basis and can handle their own when instructed to do so. You will want a handful of these constantly each year out of this group to work closely with to teach how to initiate action and, teach them how to become a leader.

Type 4. 3% of your organization will be “Leaders”.. They don’t wait, They don’t Watch, These are the ‘make things happen’ people in the organization. Before you finish trying to teach them something, they’re already gone implementing what they know so far. These are the individuals who will come up with a marketing program implement it and tell you what they did after they have achieved success. These are the one’s who will do about 20% of the business in your organization. And you probably already know the type. If you are late getting on a training call or a conference call they will step up and start doing the call until the host or moderator arrives. These are the ones making their own YouTube videos, These are the ones branding themselves with their own websites, teaching without want, giving value to the community, The ones setting up their own blogs, The ones standing on stage, the ones Taking Massive Action. With this group there is also a downside. We have a tendency to ignore this group in our organization because we don’t feel they need us. Perhaps you feel they are doing better than you and feel that you have nothing to offer them, no value or input to give. The fact is that these rare jewels are the ones that DESERVE your time so make sure your there.

So there you have it, the 4 Type of people in your organization. Identify who they are and then act accordingly, your business will appreciate it.

For those of you who ARE leaders I would like to give you a copy of Napoleon Hills Think & Grow Rich. Its been around since jesus was a child and is absolutely fundamental to your personal growth. All you have to do is simply enter your Name & Email into the short form below and i’ll email it to you immediately. Don’t worry about your details, I know they’re private and I would never dream of abusing it. If you get sick of me you can always unsubscribe at anytime!

To learn how I did this specifically you need to read my previous post titled “How I Ranked 13th On Google Out Of 77,000,000″

What I’ve noticed in the Network Marketing industry is this:

Information about Network Marketing, How to Prospect, Recruit, Training, Tips, How to start a Blog, Funded Proposal Is EVERYWHERE. The internet is flooded by every ‘guru’ trying to tell you the ‘right’ way to build your business and this can be confusing. All this training is teaching people to go create a website or even a Network Marketing Blog to brand and promote “YOU INC” which is all good but what I’ve noticed is this takes away your focus and energy on building your core primary opportunity. I know personally I’ve invested so much time into this blog trying to get it to rank in the search engines that I’ve neglected by primary business. In my opinion this is wrong and shouldn’t be happening.

I’ll repeat what I said in my previous post. Network Marketing competition is extremely Fierce. We all want to be number 1. We all what to brand ourselves and establish our expertise. We all what to show other marketers that WE are the leaders THEY should follow and so we go out, start a blog and set out to prove this by giving value which is great and encouraged.

<<WARNING>>

Don’t put your primary business on ‘Hold’ just so you can do this. Work on this part only during your down time. Manage your time, energy & focus so your primary business doesn’t suffer because of it. Everyone is trying to do the same thing. Be Different. There are 4 different groups of people you could be targeting. They are:

Group 1. Other Network marketers.

Group 2. People looking for Your Products or more specifically the BENEFITS your products bring.

Group 3. People looking for Information About Your Specific Company & The best Team to Join.

Group 4. Business Opportunity Seekers / Entrepreneurs.

These are 4 groups of peope you want to be targeting. Each group has it’s own unique benefits. Group 1 is the toughest to attract. Why? Because everyone is targeting them. There are very few people or very few smart marketers who target the other 3 groups. The other 3 groups is where I spend most of my time.

The other 3 groups is the key to Ranking Number 1 on Google. I created a blog about one of products my company produces. People are using the Internet to get information about this product and guess who they will find? ME. Guess who they will see as the expert and leading authority about this particular product? ME. Guess who they will most likely end up buying this product from? ME. Guess who they will most likely want to join if they too want to market this same product? ME.

Competition for this group of people is much much lower and is therefore much easier to go after. It is also highly targeted which is an added bonus. After all you need ‘Product Users’ too.

I almost didn’t believe it when I Googled a specific keyword and saw my website ranked in the 13th position. This is the 3rd position on Page 2 of Google which is great considering that:

1. There are 77,400,000 other results with my specific keyword.
2. My website is only 2 weeks old.
3. My website has no content just yet.

Click Below Image To Enlarge.

The keyword I am trying to rank for is : Video Phone Information and the website URL is www.videophoneinsider.com. Before you head over there to check it out just know that there is no content just yet. To get the content, I thought about Outsourcing versus Doing It myself. In the end I went on over to Elance.com and created a job post. If you have never used Elance it is like the worlds Number 1 place for having things done such as writing, website design, Seo, technical stuff & a whole bunch of other services done for you. It’s like an auction site where you write a description of what you want done. In my case it was 16 blog posts & 10 articles for the www.videophoneinsider.com website. Then there are people who go to Elance looking for work. There are a ton of professional writers who can write a hell of a lot better than I can who will gladly write whatever you like for a small fee. In my case it was $250USD for what I wanted. Given that my time is more important than money and the face that this person can write better than me, this fee is minimal. Always Outsource what you cant or don’t want to do yourself.

So how did I do it? Before I tell you how I did it I want you to know that I am NO Search Engine Optimization specialist. I only know what I read on other sites. It’s not something I am particularly strong about investing my time and energy into. SEO in my opinion should be outsourced to someone who does this for a living. It can be difficult. I have outlined a number of ways bellow to help rank well in the search engines including what I did myself.

5 Tips to help you rank well on Google.

1. The Domain Name. The Domain name itself is the number 1 thing you want to spend time choosing wisely. The domain name must be benefit ridden. It must clearly give a the viewer a message of what the site is about. www.VideoPhoneInsider.com does just that.

2. Title Tags. These are the tags on your website which tells the search engines what your website is about. They are found right at the top of each website. If you look at this website you will see on the top left corner it says: Network Marketing Blog for Network Marketing. That is this websites title tag. It is very important to use your keywords in this title tag as I have done on both my sites.

3. Keywords. Some keywords & keyword phrases are more difficult to rank for than others. For example my Network Marketing Blog is no-where to be seen in the search engines. Competition for the Network Marketing Blog keyword is FIERCE even though I have www.network-marketing-blog.com as my Domain name. Also note that the keywords for Network Marketing Blog turn up 31,800,000 results. While the keywords Video Phone Information return more than 77,000,000 results, serious competition for those keywords aren’t that fierce. Everyone has a Network Marketing Blog and everyone is trying to rank for those keywords which brings me to the next point.

4. Backlinks. A backlink is simply when another website links to yours. With backlinks you want to make sure you are using your keyword as the ‘Anchor Text’. What’s Anchor Text you ask?? The Anchor Text are the words that are ‘highlighted’ on a website that when clicked take you to the actual website of the Anchor Text. For example when you click Video Phone Information it’ll take you to www.videophoneinsider.com so make sure if you are trying to get more backlinks from other websites that you give them your keywords that you are trying to rank for in their Anchor Text. Whoever has more Backlinks with their keywords in it will win and be found closer to the front pages on the search engines.

5. Article Marketing. Article Marketing does 2 things. It provides information to a viewer and provides direct traffic to your website resulting in more traffic, and secondly gives you a Backlink also. At the bottom of each article you should be including a signature with you targeted keywords as Achor Text. The more people who read your article and click on your Achor text the better. This is one of the quickest ways to generate permanent backlinks for your site. How often you post articles is up to you. I am having 10 made which will feature first on the videophoneinsider website and then will be submitted to article directories. I am also in the process of doing this will This Blog.

If you want one of the industries best SEO Software go here.

Remember, focus on what you are good at and leave all the others things that you arent good at to someone else who is. Your a Marketer so go and Market!!

It’s a question that can sometimes take a while to answer. On one hand you like to learn new things and perhaps be up for a challenge, and on the other hand you might not have the time to ‘re-do’ things over & over. You might have noticed that over the last 2 days this network marketing blog was no where to be found! I tried to download WordPress and install it onto another Blog that I am in the process of starting. I set up a new domain name and wanted to attached WordPress to it and then upload a new Theme. WordPress is very, very, very easy to use. Downloading it for me was something else! I’ve always heard that downloading it and installing it is also quick and very easy to do so when the instructions I went on my way. Something you should know about me is that I am not too technical and I don’t follow instructions very well. Perhaps that’s why I failed school and didn’t continue on to University. You can read more about that in my About Me Section.

What is marketed as a “5 Minute WordPress Install” took me just under 3 hours!!! Well even after 3 hours it wasn’t installed but I did get a MASSIVE headache!! Not only that, when I checked this blog it was gone! Vanished from the Blogisphere! So I called my good friend Michael Martin @ Pro Blog Design who downloaded, installed & designed this blog you are currently reading to help get it back up, fix up the problem I caused with the new one & get everything 100% ok and online! And again Thanks Michael.

What did I learn??? I learn’t the concept of “OutSourcing”.

I should have asked for Michael’s services upfront and saved myself one of the biggest headaches I’ve ever had. Plus I thought of at least 10 things I could have spent doing which are more exciting but I chose to “Do It Myself”.

Somethings you have the power, the patience and the persistance to see to the end. And somethings you don’t. Simple.

Proper Preperation Prevents Piss Poor Performance. The 6 P’s.

I failed to ‘prepare’ which means I set myself up for failure. If you don’t prepare in your business how can you expect success. Outsource the things you have no experience with while you learn slowely in your down time. What I went through over the last 24hrs or so I wont repeat again. I know what I can do and know what I cant.

Know your strenghts & weaknesses. Many people say work on your weaknesses but they would be unknowingly misleading you. Continue to work on your strenghts. Could Tiger Woods have become a Master Tennis player? I doubt it. Tiger focuses on his strenghts (GOLF) When people see him practicing they think he is practicing on his poor performing swings when in fact his building on his already almost perfect swings. Know what your good at and know what your bad at.

In your business you might be terrible at bringing in leads but might be a superstar at closing leads provided to you. Solution: Team up with something who is great at bringing in leads but terrible at closing and work together. Together Everyone Acheives More (TEAM).

Note: Remember, you cant be good at everything. Focus and build on your already strong points and Outsource everything you suck at because God knows we suck at many things!!

Are you Following Me On Twitter??

Although Google almost ‘Owns Everything’ reports still have Facebook delivering more traffic than Google to some big-name sites. Facebook gets over a third of the number of unique visitors that Google does according to comScore which continues to grow. Compete shows the lines between Google and Facebook slowely getting closer together:

Facebook in BLUE & Google in GREEN. See graph below.

Internet browser are going to Google to figure out where to get the info they’re after whereas they go to Facebook to, well, hang out. If Facebook’s growth continues the way it has been, perhaps it should be considered Google’s greatest threat (when I say threat, I mean competition. Much of the Facebook delivered traffic comes from links that members post via areas like the ‘Notes’ & ‘Boxes’ application areas on Facebook. I’ve pasted a screenshot from My Facebook Profile below showing the ‘Notes’ tab in the small circle and the ‘Actual Notes’ in the larger circle on the right.

If you cant see the image click this link which takes you to my live ‘Notes’ Page.

Each time I write a post, it’s automatically sent to my ‘Notes’ section of my profile. When my friends login to their own accounts they will see that I’ve written a new note, then open that note and more than likely go to the actual website or at least view the information that I am wanting to share. I have the same set up with My Myspace Profile. Both these 2 sites currently deliver me more traffic than Google. In saying this Google traffic can take a while to bring in with FREE however my Myspace & facebook traffic not to leave out Twitter all bring in a ton thats all FREE.

On the same subject of Twitter, I logged into My Twitter Profile today only to see talk that people’s Facebook friends are removing them because of all the ‘Tweets’ throughout the day clogging up their newsfeeds!! On the same token Twitterers are removing their facebook friends who are not fellow Twitterers!! Where will this all end???

So go and take the time to interlink your Social Networking sites into your blog or website or even any affiliate links you might be using to grow your database or business. It’s free, it’s instantaneous and it’s a great way to start out while your building up your organic free Google traffic. Enjoy. Remember to Follow Me On Twitter.

I installed a great Twitter Plugin on my blog just the other day which allows my readers to Tweet my blog posts that they find worthwhile of sharing with their followers. It helps with viral marketing in the sense that readers are able to help direct some traffic to my blog. While that is great news for me it is my responsibility to make sure that my posts contain valuable information that is sharable. That’s what Social Networking is all about after all.

So with that said for those of you with WordPress Blogs you can download the Tweet This Post Plugin Here. It took all of 2 minutes to install it onto my server which hosts my blog and another 5 minutes of playing with the settings to get it to do what I wanted. The Plugin link above comes with screen shots so you’ll see exactly what it will look like once installed on your blog. The whole process is very simple & easy. I LOVE WORDPRESS!!.

In my search for Twitter tools I found the 10 Best Twitter Tools For WordPress Blogs. Simply pick and choose which one you want.
