Pankaj Sharma Bollywood's actor and director has appeared in some low profile movies like Mai that came in 1989, Tum: A Dangerous Obsession in 2004, Ek Hi Bhool and Sehar which got released in 2005.

Pankaj Sharma has also directed animated movies like Bal Ganesh (2007), which became popular with the kids. Pankaj Sharma made a sequel to this flick that titled Bal Ganesh 2.

Bal Ganesh 2 got released on October 23, 2009. Another directorial venture by Pankaj is Pangaa Gang that will be released in 2009 and this is also an animated movie based on a group of friends who fight the evil to keep their land safe.

These kind of mythological movies like Hanuman and Bal Ganesh encourages the film-makers to present stories from mythology in an animation format. Bal Ganesh 2, revolves around three different stories, all related to Lord Ganesha.

In terms of script and animation, Bal Ganesh 2 stands a step ahead inplace of Bal Ganesh. Bal Ganesh 2 comes up with the birth of Lord Ganesha and the confrontation with Lord Shiva, Lord Kubera's invitation to Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha and Lord Ganesha's voracious appetite; Lord Ganesha taking the round of His universe.

The first story in the film is related to a cat and how Lord Ganesha plays a prank on it. The second story is based on Sage Vyasa. Lord Ganesha not only writes the entire book, but also translates it while writing it. The third story showcases the fight between Lord Ganesh and a powerful demon Gajmukhasur.

On the whole, we just hope that Bal Ganesh 2 appeals to all age groups. Give it a try!!!!!

All The Best:Fun Begins

Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse starrer Bollywood film All The Best: Fun Begins is directed by Rohit Shetty who directed comedy flicks Golmaal and Golmaal Returns.

The jokes in the flick may appear silly, but who cares. As long as there's a smile on the face even after the show has ended, nothing else matters. All The Best:Fun Begins is one of those films which is made with the motive to keep the audiences entertained.

Fardeen Khan has played the role of Veer who is a singer by profession, and brother to Sanjay Dutt, who plays Dharam, a business-honcho. Like his previous films, Rohit Shetty's story is based on multiple characters.

But even with so many characters, the film tends to be free from complications. All The Best:Fun Begins is all about mistaken identities. Alongwith Rohit Shetty, Robin and Yunus have put in lot of effort to make the script watchable. Also Pritam's musical score is uninspiring and the songs act as speed breakers.

Sanjay Dutt plays his part well. The show-stopper is undoubtedly Ajay Devgan, whose comic timing is only getting better. Fardeen Khan has made a sincere attempt. Bipasha Basu is sweet, while Mugdha is just okay. Johny Lever and Sanjay Mishra are seen in terrific form. Mukesh Tiwari, Vijay Patkar, Ashwini Kalsekar and Atul Parchure lend credible report.

On the whole, All The Best:Fun Begins has unlimited laughter doze.

Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Saahil Khan starrer upcoming flick Aladin is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Bollywood's megastar Amitabh Bachchan plays a genie in the film.

Visual effects in the film arrest your attention very well and are well executed. Sabu Cyril's art is said to be commendable. The music given by Vishal and Shekhar is fabulous.

Ritesh Deshmukh shines in his solo-hero role. Sanjay Dutt will be seen enjoying thoroughly such a role after a long-long time. Debutante Jacqueline Fernandez is an actual stunner, but can do much better. The film might still be worth a watch for a few amusing moments.

Mirch is a forthcoming 2009 Hindi film that stars Konkona Sen Sharma , Raima Sen and Shahana Goswami who will be playing lead roles. The film is directed by Vinay Shukla.

Filming of Mirch started in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The film is basically based on four short stories related with the issues of women emancipation. Raima Sen and Konkona Sen Sharma stars in two of these short stories.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is a strange romantic comedy film. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Upen Patel in lead roles with Salman Khan making a special appearance. Some portions of the movie were shot at Ooty, Mumbai, Goa and Turkey. The movie is set to release on November 6, 2009.

After giving brilliant performance in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s flick Jodha Akbar, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen together once again sharing their amazing chemistry on-screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directed film Guzaarish. The film will be on floors around the first part of 2010, soon after Kites after the post-production stage.

Sanjay Bhansali has already commenced looking for locations that will enhance the theatric aspect of the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will also co-produce the venture in company of UTV motion Pictures. This forthcoming flick is believed to be a remake of "The Prestige".

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, directed by David Dhawan Do Knot Disturb was released on October 2, 2009. The film features Govinda, Sushmita Sen, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Sohail Khan, Ranvir Shorey, Rituparna Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Pahwa.

Govinda plays a rich husband who is married to Sushmita Sen. At the same time Govinda also has been having an affair with Lara Dutta who plays Dolly's character who is an item queen who has dumped her ex (Sohail Khan) for greener pastures. Govinda’s kicked out butler Nandu (Rajpal Yadav) in an attempt to get back at him clicks a photo of him with Dolly and sends it to his wife.

When you enter a film like Do Knot Disturb, logic should be the last thing on your mind. In the movie you will see a two timing husband who is no more a novelty on screen and Govinda and David Dhawan have churned out many films revolving around this theme earlier. But this time they have failed together.

Nadeem Shravan’s music is dated like the film’s jokes barring the Bebo number. Sets are gaudy and camerawork functional. Govinda can create a laugh riot amongst the audiences if he decides to do so but in this flick in some comic sequences the actor has lost his humor.

Ritesh Deshmukh on the other side is much subdued and likeable as the greedy waiter. Lara Dutta looks great and with her acting she has displayed good flair for comedy. Sushmita Sen is hardly there in the first half and is not seen in the second right till the climax.

Ranvir Shorey is funny but skips to tickle your laughter bone. Sohail Khan’s character could have been developed more as he is genuinely funny in his angry moments. Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Pahwa manage a few laughs. Rituparna Sengupta hardly gets any scope.

Do Knot Disturb is a comeback of the No.1 series trio of producer Vashu Bhagnani, director David Dhawan and Govinda but alas they need to work more this time !!

Wanted overpowers DBH

Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia starrer film Wanted was promoted across all mediums and had so much of hype surrounding its release that an outstanding opening was predictable.

Salman Khan who looked fresh and danced amazingly like never before, shot action sequences and fast paced narrative did not disappoint the audiences like most big banner films in the recent past did.

Much against popular trade belief that Wanted is only a single-screen film, the film did decent business at most multiplexes as well with the audiences in. While most films show a slump in the business Monday onwards, it was exactly the opposite in case of Wanted.

Aamras is a comedy plus drama flick that features Vega Tamotia, Natasha Bhardwaj, Maanvi Gagroo, Anchal Sabarwal and Zarina Wahab. The film is directed by Rupali Guha. There's Pari, the spoilt rich glamgirl, Rakhi, the dusky Punjabi kudi, Jiya who's sweet and Sanya who's attractive and confident.

Aamras takes one back to the fun-filled carefree days of life when one does not have anything to worry about. Writer-director Rupali Guha is quite impressive in the first half but loses track in the second portion of the film.

An ordinary story based on four friends Jiya (Vega), Pari (Natasha), Rakhi (Maanvi) and Sanya (Aanchal), who belong to different family backgrounds and study together in the same school.

They stand for each other in their tough times. The story goes well unless Rupali brings in a romantic twist, which makes Aamras any regular run-of-mill film. It’s a youth-centric film.

Vega, Natasha, Maanvi and Aanchal are perfect for their roles. Ajay Singh Choudhury is nothing to do the film. Zarina Wahab and Reema, Sunil Sinha and Manoj Pahwa are good. On the whole, Aamras is fairly a good film.

Bachelor Party

Bachelor Party is a Hindi comedy flick directed by Ishaan Trivedi and produced by Arun Bhairav, Faisal Kapadia. The movie was released on September 4, 2009 and featured Jimmy Shergill, Nauheed Cyrusi, Arbaaz Khan, Ninad Kamat, and Sharath Saxena.

Bachelor Party is a coarse comedy. The problem is that the movie is simply not funny enough. Even the more serious attempts at humour fall flat. A sensible but under-rated comedy that sank quietly at the box-office.

Ishaan Trivedi who is the director for Himesh Reshammiya's starrer film Radio fails to tickle the funny bone of the audiences.

With the film Mazhar Kamran makes a sincere attempt to narrate this unconventional story well.

The film is made on a small scale with talented actors like Sonali Kulkarni, Nakul Vaid, Sushant Singh, Sharbani Mukherjee, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Uttam Haldar, Aditya Shrivastav, Akhilendra Mishra and Govind Namdeo. The film is produced by Abha Sonakia.

The plot of the flick revolves around a man who is lost in his own country. The problems faced by a common man are dealt with open satire in the film. The
muisc of the movie is given by Vivek Priyadarshan.

Nakul Vaid plays his part very well and has proved his worth. Sushant Singh doesn't get scope, but nonetheless leaves an impact. Sharbani Mukerjee has transformed herself well for this part. Sonali Kulkarni gets a right role. Aditya Srivastava is competent. Govind Namdeo is first-rate. Sameer Dharmadhikari just okay. Uttam Haldar is proficient.

On the whole, Mohandas is a well-intentioned, well-made film, but it will have a tough time standing on its feet due to lack of face-value and also multiple releases. Still, you must see the film....

Kaminey-A Pure Entertainer

Vishal Bhardwaj has successfully executed the story line of ‘Kaminey’ which makes it different from other films. The film stars Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra. Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey is bold, funny and unpredictable, which is the success mantra of the flick.

Shahid Kapoor has played double role in Kaminey and he looks awesome in the film. Kaminey is not about masala film. Actually it is a well planned movie.

The story revolves around a pair of twin brothers– Charlie and Guddu. Charlie lisps, while Guddu stammers. The title Kaminey takes time to justify itself. The best part of the movie begins after the interval to the climax.

The director has placed all themes so perfectly, that his direction proves that Vishal is a master storyteller. With the film Shahid Kapur has already taken a big step towards stardom. Priyanka Chopra is now the top-most listed actress. Amole Gupte is outstanding. Tenzing Nima and Chandan Roy Sanyal leave a solid impression.

Love Khichdi-A one time watch

Directed by Srinivas Bhashvam, Love Khichdi's storyline is based on seven different girls and one man. What does make "Love Khichdi" interesting at junctures is the entire 'talking to the camera' narrative that the director applies. The film projects at what a man and a woman would think about the same situation.

The film though eventually boils down to be the show reel for the lead couple Randeep and Sadaa. Sadaa gets maximum footage and does complete justice to her part in her debut Bollywood film. She is beautiful, confident and her experience in films down south shows. On the whole, Love Khichdi may not be the perfect health diet but is decent enough to be a one time watch. Too many parallel tracks spoil the script. The main characters of the film are Randeep Hooda, Sonali Kulkarni, Rituparna Sengupta, Divya Dutta, Riya Sen, Kalpana Pandit.

Kunal Deshmukh directional Tum Mile casts Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan and the film is based on 26th July 2005 Mumbai floods that was a threatening day for almost all.

The story shifts perspective between the past and the present- a glorious but crazy past of 2 entirely different people who separate in love-the differences after they very excited in the beginning.

Producer Mukesh Bhatt doesn’t have much to worry though. The entire film has already been completed in a specially designed set that recreates the Mumbai flood scene. This movie plot looks as if written exclusively for Emran Hashmi. The film has music by Pritam and expected to arrive on 13th November, 2009.

Muralimohana Rao and produced by Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar and the film will be released on August 28, 2009.

The plot of the film tells that Suniel Shetty plays the role of an aspiring writer who tries to give his father a decent funeral. Having flown in first class younger brother Brian (Ashish Chowdhry), successful and much admired writer from Mumbai, not ready to share responsibility for his mother, saying "He barely has money to support himself and his dogs."

Agent Pinto (Vijay Patkar) tries to close a house deal for Nancy (Aarti Chabria) Steven's wife who is trying to get away from her mother-in-law Mrs. Lazarus (Suhasini Mulay) , who though just bereaved, lives up to her title admirably.

A doddering old Uncle Murphy which is played by Prem Chopra is in a wheelchair and believes in practicing young to get the girls. Overall it is a comedy movie and lets see whether the film can set a cool chemistry with its audiences....

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge was released in the year 1995. The film was directed by Aditya Chopra. The film won ten Filmfare awards and is surely a consummate crowd pleaser. The film starred Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, and Amrish Puri. The film became the biggest Bollywood hit. The music of the film was given by Jatin and Lalit.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is based on the characters Raj and Simran, played by Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Simran meets Raj on a trip to European countries. After some initial stage, they fall in love. Aditya Chopra in DDLJ portrays the hectic hustle and bustle of a traditional Indian household. Songs like "Ruk Jaa O Dil Deewane" and "Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main" are real masterpieces, while "Mehndi Lagaa Ke Rakhna," will just take away your breathes with fantastic choreography.

The film's genuine wit of dialogue, the briskness of its plot, the charm of it's actors all are just great. On the whole the verdict holds that DDLJ is a great film that can be watched many times. It's a super-duper entertainer !!!

Life Partner is the story of friends, who struggle on the marital marathon. Three friends, three different approaches to life is Life Partner in a nutshell.

Karan (Fardeen Khan) and Sanjana (Genelia D’Souza) are madly in love with each other. And for them, marriage seems to be the next step to make their relationship more strong. But is 'love marriage' the right way? Is marriage the extension of the bond between them, on a social platform? Does marriage have to be the end of everything that they cherished in the relationship before they got married? These and some more questions form the basis of the start of their life together.

For Bhavesh (Tusshar Kapoor), his family comes first and matters the most. And his life-partner, Prachi (Prachi Desai) also comes with his family's approval. But is arranged marriage the right? Is it right to prioritize the family first even after marriage? Does Prachi have to prove herself as a worthy daughter-in-law to be an ideal wife? These and some more questions form their married life.

Jeet (Govinda) is a divorce lawyer extraordinaire and doesn't believe in the institution of marriage. He can't be monogamous and is sometimes responsible for his clients' divorce and ends up fighting their cases too. But is 'no marriage' the right approach? Will Jeet ever find someone? Will his views on marriage ever change?

How they manage to cope up with their life after marriage, and whether or not they succeed forms the crux of the plot of Life Partner.

Hindi Movie-Tezaab

Tezaab the hindi movie that released on November 11, 1988, gave actress Madhuri Dixit her first big break, and Anil Kapoor's got successful after doing Mr India (1987). The film was directed by N. Chandra. Music was given by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. The film was also known for the song Ek Do Teen, which was a chart success. The dance style in the song became a permanent feature in almost all of Madhuri's later films.

Tezaab was a violent love story in which Anil Kapoor is was characterised as a good boy, but due to certain circumstances starts doing bad deeds in life. Madhuri is the victim of an insensitive, abusive father.

Anil Kapoor won the Filmfare Best Actor Award, while Dixit was nominated for Best Actress. Alka Yagnik won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award for the film.

The story of the film Tezaab was run-of-the-mill. It was the treatment and presentation that set the film apart.

Luck- Movie Review

The first half of the film Luck is merely devoted to character introductions though none are convincingly established. Sanjay Dutt repeats his gun-toting act, moving around in sherwani, jackets and a French beard in the company of black-suited bodyguards. What more, even his name isn't any different - Musa.

Ram Mehra (Imran Khan) has to repay the 20 crores that his late father had lost in stock market. Retired Major Jawar Pratap Singh (Mithun Chakravarthy) has the same conflict that Amitabh Bachchan had in Kaante - needs money for his ailing wife. For the neighbouring country connection, the script takes a Shortcut (Chitrashi Rawat). The best is yet to come! When a loose noose fails to hang rapist Raghav (Ravi Kishen) to death, he is officially set free by the law.

The group is hand-picked by Tamang (Danny) for Musa who indulges into the most synchronized corny conversations in the film. As he gets the team to South Africa, Musa makes them aim on each other at point blank range (in a scene directly lifted from 13 Tzameti) and only peripheral characters from the circle are subtracted.

The opening and ending action sequences by Allan Amin are convincingly choreographed but the intermediate stunts appear too artificial. The director tries to cover up the patchiness of the action by Santosh Thundiyil's erratic camerawork but it only disturbs more. The emotional connect with viewer is certainly missing despite director Soham Shah's repeated attempts to induce sentiments.

Sanjay Dutt's screen presence in the film is equivalent to Akshay Kumar contribution to Fear Factor minus his stunts. Imran Khan gives a decent performance though he can go easy on his lip movements. Shruti Hassan is synthetic and fails to impress. Danny is better amongst others but his character is short-lived in the second half. Ravi Kishen, Mithun and Chitrashi are passable.

The script of the film relies too much on coincidental luck. Director Soham Shah rubs too hard on luck but at the same time stresses on the adage that 'the only thing certain about luck is it's going to change'. On that thought here's wishing him better luck next time!

Agyaat -Film by Ram Gopal Verma

Agyaat is an upcoming Bollywood horror film by Ram Gopal Varma starring Nitin Kumar Reddy, Gautam Rode, and Priyanka Kothari, Ravi Kale, Ishrat Ali, Harvey Rosemeyer, Kali Prasad Mukherjee, Rasika Duggal, Joy Fernandes and Ishteyak.

A film unit goes to a jungle for a shoot and gets misplaced. The members of the crew begin to get killed one after the other leaving the rest on the run for their life.

Adding to their fright is that they don't even know what is behind the kills, whether it is a man or an animal or something else. The film is expected to be released on August 7, 2009.

The musical, full of drama and romance filled 1965 released movie Guide is considered as one of the masterpieces of the Indian film industry and the film was made by the famous bollywood director Vijay Anand, younger brother of epitome of the suave, urban gentleman Dev Anand.

The film is based on the critically acclaimed novel, The Guide, by R. K. Narayan. The film proved to be a box office hit upon release. This movie proved memorable for its award-winning performances by the lead actors and memorable music by S. D. Burman.

The film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007, 42 years after its release. Guide is remarkable for the manner in which it depicts the relationship between Raju and Rosie, a relationship which has no place in respectable society of that time.

A live-in relationship is not something that filmmakers want to touch even today. The film also showcases the throbbing chemistry between Rosie and the Guide.

Their growing proximity and intimacy is brought out beautifully by the director. This is probably the first film where Dev Anand has shrugged off his nonchalant air and acted like a man driven by passion and compassion.

Dev Anand's Raju is a very real character, very human. Waheeda Rehman is equally bewitching in her portrayal of Rosie, a woman who breaks away from the stifling prison of her marriage with the help of her lover and carves a career out for herself. It was a daring role but also one which had tremendous scope for performance and Waheeda made the best use of it.

Waheeda's dance to Lata Mangeshkar's 'Aaj phir jeene ki tamanna hai,' is memorable even today because of her presence, Lata's voice, SD Burman's music and the superb way in which the song is conceived and shot. Waheeda's performance too won her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Guide.

The music for this film was composed by Sachin Dev Burman and the songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Sachin Dev Burman. The film is remarkable and memorable even today for so many reasons, beginning with its unconventional theme, its music and its actors.

Luck is an action, adventure film. The only thing sure about LUCK is that it will change. Let's have a look at the preview of the film.

This film actually traces the path of various characters and their lives of how with time and circumstances, peoples life change with their changing luck.

Luck is a story about this boy, Ram Mehra (Imran Khan), who is burdened by a lot of circumstantial problems, and reaches a point in life, where he has the capacity, but no opportunity, to come out of the mess that unfortunately life has offered him.

Luck is when opportunity knocks and you answer. Something like this happens to Ram, and as he accepts the opportunity, by chance encounters, Ram recognizes his own strengths to pull him through the difficult times that lie ahead………

Only he did not know, that the problems do not end, but a game of betrayal and putting his luck at test at every step starts……

He has to conquer the hurdles raised by Moussa played by Sanjay Dutt to win this game of Money, greed and the biggest addiction of betting………

On his way he has the support of Shruti Haasan, playing his love interest, Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Dengzongpa, Ravi Kishen, Chitrashi Rawat etc. The movie is set to release on July 24, 2009 and the film is directed by Soham Shah.

The Indian moviegoer has often witnessed man-sexually-molesting-woman situations on the big screen. In this particular movie a woman is accusing man of molesting her.

The movie Aitraaz tackles the issue of sexual harassment, with the unique spin of placing the man in the position of victim and the woman as aggressor. The film casts Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.

In the accused box of the courtroom, stands a man, startled and shocked that destiny could lead him there. He is accused of the most heinous crime - molesting his lady-boss. Raj Malhotra (played by Akshay Kumar), who works for a cell phone company, is popular amongst his circle of friends and work colleagues. But his world comes crashing down when he meets Sonia (Priyanka Chopra) again.

Sonia is an ambitious model with great aspirations. She knows what she wants in life. She is prepared to achieve her goals, whatever the price. Her fundas in life are crystal clear: Nothing shall come in between her wants and desires. Raj is well aware that Sonia knew only one way to live and that was her way. And one fateful evening, things did not go her way. Sonia brings Raj's world to a screeching halt. Raj's wife Priya (Kareena Kapoor), once a lawyer herself, is prepared to do anything to protect her husband's honour and dignity.

And from a content housewife, Priya becomes a woman with a mission that she must accomplish. She is now Raj's partner in more ways than one. Thrown into this web of deceit is Raj's boss, Ranjit Roy (Amrish Puri), who happens to be Sonia's husband. He is a mere pawn in her hands. The drama has just begun. The court is far from adjourned… Inspired by Barry Levinson's Hollywood flick Disclosure, Aitraaz has a plot that Indian cinegoers haven't witnessed on the screen yet.

Aitraaz belongs to Priyanka Chopra completely. No two opinions on that! Be it her first appearance or the sequence, Priyanka did full justice to her character in the film.

Kareena has a sugar-and-sweet character till the pre-climax and she does it well. Akshay Kumar underplays his character ably. Amrish Puri is alright. The theme of the movie is extremely provocative. Himesh Reshammiya's music sounds pleasant to the ears. Cinematography is first-rate. On the whole, Aitraaz is a well-crafted thriller.....
