The image preview isn’t the only clue you can get to decide how much the similarity level is for the compared images. I’ve used this duplicate image finder program a lot and sometimes I find that it’s hard to detect the differences by seeing the preview alone. This app also tells you the difference between the size, dimensions, and types of the pictures. Moreover, it also applies a difference value to the pictures. When this value reaches zero, it means the pictures being compared are completely the same.

What can you do to the pictures?

Leave them behind.
Delete the first or second picture or both.
Replace the first picture with the second or vice versa.
Mark the selected result as an mistake so it won’t appear again when you perform another search on the same resources.

Reduce the scanning time

If you compare the previously-scanned folder with a new folder, the program will compare pictures against each other within the folder despite the fact that you have scanned it before. To prevent this redundant scanning, you can add it to the list of valid paths.

After you add it to the list, the program will not perform another scan within the folder anymore. Instead, it only compares the images against the ones that reside in another folder.

Other features let you optionally find defect pictures, rotated and mirror images, set up a custom threshold difference, exclude small pictures based on the width/height, deep search (search in subdirectories, hidden and system directories), delete permanently or sent to recycle bin, and more.
