Back in the ‘old days’,  most (if not all) Give Away event hosts used to be very strict about partners having a minimum mailing list size before participating in their event. This has changed, though. Many JV Giveaway hosts don’t ask you for your list size anymore.

This doesn’t mean you can simply sign up for a free ride…

Most ‘modern’ events work with some kind of ‘gift removal’ system, which is set to remove your gift from the list if you haven’t referred a certain number of contributors/members a couple of days after the launch.

As a result, you need to put some effort in promoting the event.

If you don’t already have a mailing list of your own, it’s important you find other ways to get the word out. Luckily there are plenty!

TIP: set up  a simple webpage with all your giveaway referral links and promote this page. This will avoid that your links will expire when an event closes. Be sure to add an optin form to the page, so you can start building your own giveaway notification list.

Here are some extra insider tips on how you can use JV Giveaway events to build your list – even if you don’t have one yet:

Get in soon
Many giveaways will  list your gift with an active link once it has been approved.  If you get in soon, your product will be available to all the other contributors during the pre-launch period.

Upgrade
Back in the ‘old days’, your gift rank was based on the number of people you referred. That has changed – you can now buy your way up. Most giveaways offer some sort of upgraded partnership. These upgrades often include a certain number of gift credits which will not only move your gift right to the top of the list (Higher gift rank = more exposure = more signups), but will also prevent that your gift is removed due to lack of referrals.

TIP:
Upgraded partners are allowed to add a special offer to the offer rotator. If you submit your squeeze page, this could bring you quite some extra signups!

The long awaited Simple Giveaway Pro – script has finally been released.

This brand new script – which was based on the popular Simple Member Pro script – will take its place as the third major JV Giveaway Management script on the market, and is presented to be an equally valued alternative for Giveaway Manager 2 and The Ultimate JV Giveaway Script.

On the sales page, you can read that Simple Giveaway Pro makes creating and running your giveaway as simple and quick as possible: it is said to be very easy to install and use, and allows simple site customization.

To prove the usability of the administration area, a demo has been been made available at the site. This demo allows you to take a look inside and see the massive amount of features Simple Giveaway Pro has to offer.

I’ve taken a quick look inside, and noticed a couple of differences with Brad Smith’s Giveaway Manager 2 script (I’m not as familiar with the features of The Ultimate giveaway script, so I can’t compare SGP with it):

• 2 autoresponder services are supported: Aweber & Prosender (I still need to figure out what to do if you use neither one).

• You’re presented the option to choose whether to show gift links before launch date or not.

• A powerful WYSIWYG (WhatYouSeeIsWhatYouGet) HTML-editor is provided to customize the pages. This editor can be turned on or off as needed.

• Gift contribution is set up using a points-based system, like you might now from the Profit Work From Home – site. 

• JV Partners can easily submit text- and banner ads for inclusion.

• JV Partners can purchase extra gift credits.

• Only one ‘real’ OTO is shown. This means upgraded contributors can not add a special offer to the event. Instead, they are allowed to submit banner- and text ads that rotate at the top or bottom of every page.

• Links to pages containing legal info (disclaimer, privacy policy & TOS) ánd (very important, because often forgotten) contact details are provided in the footer. The content of these pages can easily be edited from inside the admin area.

Like I said, I’ve only taken a quick glance inside both the member- and administration area. To get a good idea of how the site actually works, I suggest you give the system a test drive yourself. You will find a link to the fully functional demo in the menu on the sales page.
