But David didn't trust him, and his thoughts led him to go to Gath, from where Goliath had come, for refuge. It could have been fatal - he was supposed to fight against his own people. David should have confessed to a righteous man - and so should we when problems arise. It doesn't need to be someone who knows us, but they must know God. Our battles don't have to be defeats; we can't avoid thoughts, but we can deal with them. When Jesus was tempted to doubt, he replied with Scripture, and so should we.]]></description>
