Last year we posted our first annual preview of upcoming Summer Superhero Movies. Well, the 2012 summer movie season is almost upon us and it looks like another summer filled with more than it’s fair share of Superhero Movies. Here’s the rundown:

May 4, 2012
The Avengers – Marvel’s long awaited, first of it’s kind superhero cross-over movie.

June 22, 2012
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter – This qualifies as a superhero movie, right?

July 3, 2012
The Amazing Spider-Man -A reboot of the Spiderman movie franchise with Director Marc Webb emphasizing the stunts and acrobatics over the purely CGI.

July 20, 2012
The Dark Knight Rises – The third and final installment in the Chris Nolan Batman Trilogy, featuring Bane, the villain who broke Batman’s back in the comics.

The only other remotely superhero-like movie in 2012 is Dredd on September 21, an attempt at a more faithful movie adaptation of the Judge Dredd comics.
