The Annual Newport Shores Garage Sales & Clean Up Day is going to be held tomorrow, Saturday, May 18 from 8 AM to 2 PM. Also, there are other great additions this year to the Newport Shores Garage sale. At the clubhouse, there will be a dumpster, shredding for those documents you no longer want to keep, electronic waste recycling, and there will be hazardous waste removal (for paint, and old batteries). Additionally, the Newport Beach police will be available to register bicycles.

There will also be a box available for you to put your books which will be donated to the Costa Mesa Senior Center.

This is a great opportunity to get your house organized and clean for summer, and network with your neighbors. Also, who knows what treasure you will find in Newport Shores.

Balboa Island is a highly sought after area of Newport Beach. People move to Balboa Island because of the lifestyle. Balboa Island is a beautiful area of Newport Beach and unique charm, with close proximity to Fashion Island in Newport Beach, and take the ferry across to the Balboa Peninsula to visit the beach.

The OC Marathon is going to be held on May 5, 2013. There is still time to register for this great event. The course is beautiful as it goes through the beaches of Corona del Mar, the Back Bay area, near South Coast Plaza and the Orange County Performing Art Center and the OC Fairgrounds. The start time for the OC Marathon is 5:30 am. The marathon will finish at the OC Fairgrounds and Event Center.

The registration information can be found here. Registration will close later today, so take advantage of this time to still register. Or be sure to visit the course to cheer for those participating in this great event.

I am sure many athletes have been preparing and training for this event. Best wishes to the athletes who are participating in this event.

Newport Shores in Newport Beach is a beach community which is located on the west side of Newport Beach. There are approximately 440 homes which are located on the west side of Newport Beach. Living in Newport Shores provides a wonderful beach lifestyle. There are single family homes, condos, and duplexes in Newport Shores. The Army Corp of Engineers has begun dredging the Newport Shores Canal and the dredging is finishing up this weekend. It is going to be so nice, and the water will be so clear. The residents cannot wait for this job to be completed, but it is interesting just the same to watch!
