Britney Spears was a much bigger part of this episode than her first and it almost seems like it was setting up Abby the receptionist as a recurring character.

Mondays have become my second busiest TV watching night reaching a total of five hours: two comedies, two reality shows and three dramas. I don't always squeeze them all in one night, thanks to my trusty DVR. Tonight is going to be big with four finales and another Britney Spears' episode on "How I Met Your Mother."

"GOSSIP GIRL" (8 p.m. CW) "Woman on the Verge" episode: As a result of Georgina (guest star Trachtenberg) revealing the true reason that Serena (Blake Lively) fled Manhattan for boarding school, Serena falls back into her old habits and Blair (Leighton Meester), Nate (Chace Crawford) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) must put their complicated feelings for each other aside to help their friend. Unfortunately, Serena is too ashamed to share the truth with Dan (Penn Badgley), leaving him only to assume the worse about his girlfriend. Rufus (Matthew Settle) is thrilled when his band is invited to perform at a Rolling Stone-sponsored concert, but Lily (Kelly Rutherford) is the last person on earth he expects to see at the performance, especially since her wedding rehearsal dinner is the same night. Lisa Loeb and famous cake designer Sylvia Weinstock appear in the episode as themselves.

"HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" (8:30 p.m. CBS) "Everything Must Go" episode: When Barney and Abby realize that they have one thing in common - their mutual hatred of Ted - the "couple" decides to go to the bar to flaunt their new relationship in Ted's face.

"HOUSE"(9 p.m. FOX) "House's Head" episode: In the first part of a two-part season finale, House finds himself dazed, confused and covered in blood after surviving a bus accident that left dozens seriously injured. Unable to clearly recall the events leading up to the crash due to his head injuries, House becomes convinced through his flashbacks that a fellow bus passenger was exhibiting signs of a deadly illness prior to the crash. Much to the team's dismay, House pushes through the pain of his own injuries, desperate to piece together the fragments of his shattered memory in order to save someone who might not even know he or she could be dying.

"SAMANTHA WHO?" (9:30 p.m. ABC) "The Birthday" episode: As Samantha's relationship with Todd begins to heat up, she decides to put it on hold until he breaks up with girlfriend Chloe (Kiele Sanchez, "Lost"), as he had promised. But Sam begins to think that Chloe is lying to Todd about her sick aunt in order to play the sympathy card. Meanwhile, Regina and Andrea bump heads over how to plan Samantha's birthday party.

"THE HILLS" (10 p.m. MTV): Third season finale take two. Last time MTV labed an episode as the season three finale they surprised us by extending the season. Maybe this time they'll surprise us by making this the SERIES finale. Yikes!

"MEDIUM" (10 p.m. NBC) "Drowned World" episode: Allison's (Emmy winner Patricia Arquette) attempt to sooth a young couple's concerns that their "dream home" is haunted leads to unexpected misery -- and murder. Meanwhile, Joe (Jake Weber) discovers the truth behind Meghan Doyle's (Kelly Preston, "The Tenth Circle," "Death Sentence") plans for his solar power-based invention and their joint venture. Later, the D.A's race takes an unexpected turn when Tom Van Dyke (guest star John Prosky, "Boston Legal") calls Devalos (Miguel Sandoval) in for a meeting. David Cubitt, Sofia Vassilieva, Maria Lark and Miranda Carabello also star.

"THE PAPER" (10:30 p.m. MTV): Last week's episode is still on my DVR, so I'll probably watch both later this week.

Wisteria Lane's fab four finally stood up to man-stealing Edie Britt in last night's episode of "Desperate Housewives," and I think it was about darn time!

Lynette, Bree, Susan and Gaby tell the scheming blonde that they're done with her and she's now invisible to them. They literally turn their backs on her and walk away.

ABC photo

A few scenes later, Edie tosses a duffle bag into her convertible as she talks on her cell phone to her son saying she thinks she'll be "spending more time with him from now on." Then she closes her phone, takes one last look down Wisteria Lane (is that sadness and regret in her eyes?) and drives away.

Will Edie really leave the lane for good? I think her character has become a little predictable -- she'll take every opportunity to plot, scheme or manipulate. I wouldn't like her to become nice either, so I guess I feel sort of "done" with her too.

According to this AP story, "DH" creator and executive producer Marc Cherry said Edie "won't be back for a few years." What does that really mean, since there's only three seasons left?

I'm really looking forward to next week's two-hour season finale, but I have no illusions that any Edie questions will be answered. I just wonder what other cliffhangers there will be to make our summer feel way too long.

As usual, I loved "The Office" last night. If you missed it or just want to watch it again (like me), the entire "Job Fair" episode is streaming free online at NBC.com. Also go there to check out deleted scenes. They usually have 3 or 4 per episode, but only post one every couple of days (torture).

By far my favorite moment was when Michael Scott tells Jim to "kiss her good." The look on Jim and Pam's faces was hilarious. In fact, I wanted to title this post "Kiss Her Good," but thought people would be afraid to click on the link. I know I would.

I LOVED Andy in this episode, especially the golf cart wreck. I think he's truly the ONLY character who could make the spinoff a big success, but I dread the idea of him leaving the original. Unless he could be on both, because two times the Andy would be awesome!

I was hoping for a Dwangela reunion last night, but no luck. No clues again on Toby's move to Costa Rica. Next week's episode, which also is the season finale, is entitled "Goodbye Toby." I still hope he's not really leaving.

P.S.
Anybody catch the very last scene with Pam at the graphic design booth at the job fair?

Will Pam leave Scranton to attend design school in New York or Philadelphia? Impossible, right?

Also, comments were posted on several message boards that the graphic design firm guy was actually Jim Halpert/John Krasinski in disguise.

I watched the scene again and it sounded exactly like him, but I couldn't tell for sure.

I'll be watching a lot of TV tonight, including these two shows. I love Thursdays!

Here's the description of tonight's "Scrub" episode ("My Princess"): Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) recounts his tough day at the hospital to his son through an imaginative fairy tale. When Princess Eliot's (Sarah Chalke) handmaiden falls ill at the hands of an unknown monster the Village Idiot (Zach Braff) is summoned to help rescue her, but with the Dark Lord (Ken Jenkins) standing in their way, the duo can't do it alone. The Giant (Neil Flynn) keeps an eye out for the heroes while the two-headed Turla (Judy Reyes, Donald Faison) lends some magic, but it's the brave knight in shining armor -- storyteller -- Dr. Cox that lends them the knowledge that may save the day. However, with Dr. Kelso regulating shifts, the staff of Sacred Heart may not have time to figure out how to slay the monster. Will Eliot's patient live happily ever after?

Here's the description of tonight's "30 Rock" episode ("Cooter"): Jack (Baldwin) assumes a new political role in Washington, DC. When the job is not what he expected, Jack partners with another government employee, Cooter (guest star Matthew Broderick), to scheme on how to get fired. For his plan to work Jack must enlist the help of former girlfriend C.C. (guest star Edie Falco). Meanwhile, Liz (Fey) is slowly adjusting to life without Jack as a daily sounding board - especially when she has a pregnancy scare involving Dennis, the "former" Subway Hero (guest star Dean Winters). Kenneth (McBrayer) is preparing his personal essay for an application to be a page at the Summer Olympics in Beijing, but Donny, the head page (guest star Paul Scheer) gets in his way. Finally, Tracy (Morgan) is in the advanced stages of the invention that will be his legacy to his children. Matthew Broderick, Edie Falco, Dean Winters, and Paul Scheer guest star. Also stars Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, Katrina Bowden and Maulik

It never fails.

Every Wednesday night after 10 p.m., I get incredibly hungry. Ravenous, even. Why you ask? Well, that's when "Top Chef," Bravo's cooking reality show, comes on. I guess I could wait and watch it before dinner on Thursday, but I'm just too addicted to the show for that to be an option.

This show is just so much fun to watch. It's funny that the show even appeals to me since I can barely boil water, but I guess it's just easy to love people that love food as much as I do. What also keeps me tuning in is my crazy crush on head judge Tom Colicchio. I can't explain it.

So, who's your favorite contestant this season? I'm hoping Stephanie or Richard will win. What did you think about last night's elimination? I thought the right person went home.

P.S.
Did you read Tom Iacuzio's interview with Stephanie yesterday? It's a must read for any "Top Chef" fan. I'm totally on board for that.

Now were' down to the final three: David Cook, David Archuleta and Syesha Mercado. Weeks ago, people (including me) seemed confident it would come down to the two Davids, but could Syesha be the wild card?

I'm not an Archuleta fan. In fact, I'm exactly the opposite. My coworker calls him this year's Melinda Doolittle because of Archuleta's overly fake humility and awshucks attitude. So, I'd be extremely happy if it came down to David C. and Syesha.

But, does it really matter who goes up against David Cook? Isn't so obvious that he'll win???

The other five episodes will be part of the show's third season.

"Ugly Betty" is known for big-name cameos and guest stars, but I think this casting decision may have more to do with the ratings success Britney Spears caused on "How I Met Your Mother."

Spears reprises her "HIMYM" role as Abby the receptionist in the next episode (8:30 p.m. May 12 CBS). No word yet if Paris Hilton will follow suit and reappear on NBC's "My Name Is Earl," but I wouldn't count it out.

I love when that happens!

I won't spoil it for those who haven't watched yet, so I'll just say it was a shocker -- and maybe a little far-fetched. I'm sure more light will be she during next week's episode, "Woman on the Verge," which looks crazy good. I can't wait!

I really enjoyed last night's episode, except for the scene with Serena and her brother. This isn't the first time that I've complained about these two in a scene together. It always comes off so cheesy and sappy.

It's weird how it's okay when they're in a scene together with other people, but it makes me want to change the channel if it's only the two of them. Luckily it was a short scene.

I sort of hate the Georgina character, but I guess that's how were suppose to feel.

I also hate the direction that Jenny (aka Little J) was heading, but maybe this last episode will change that.

First I have to apologize for not giving the official heads up on last night's "Ugly Betty" guest stars: "Project Runway" judge Nina Garcia and winner Christian Siriano.

Hope no one missed it, but if so the "Burning Questions" episode is now streaming online at ABC.com.

This post is for all the super skinny fashionistas who loved last night's episode as much as I did, because the beautiful black blouse worn by Amanda is up for bid.

Custom designed for her by Siriano, the size-0 top will be auctioned off by The Clothes Off Our Back Foundation and proceeds will benefit America's Second Harvest, The Art of Elysium, World Education and autism research.

The auction is open until May 22.

p.s.

How great have these new episodes been? I'm so in love with this show!
