Despite winning two awards and performing twice, Justin Bieber was booed at the Billboard Music Awards!

Although, the ”Beauty and the Beat” singer was accepting the Milestone Award when the crowd seemed to erupt in boos.

And even though we were laughing inside about the boos, the Biebs seemed a bit confused. Justin continued with his long winded poor excuse of an acceptance speech trying to justify his music and claim that he’s not a gimmick.

The Biebs said:

“This is not a gimmick…I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously.”

And don’t forget him thanking God in hopes to make the booing stop.

Anyways, he thinks only the “craft” and his music should be considered, arguing that “none of the other bull” mattered. While it’s unclear what Bieber was referencing, he has had a number of bad public relations moments as of late, having lost his temper with the paparazzi in London and being caught smoking marijuana.

Which most likely played into the boos…we’ve never seen his mentor Usher getting booed like that?

Take note 19 year little boy…don’t follow Chris Brown’s path, because its not so pretty.

When Justin Bieber took the stage to accept the fan-voted Milestone Award at last night's Billboard Music Awards, he was greeted by something verrrry peculiar and, likely, unfamiliar to him: booing.

Although the crowd applauded his Best Male Artist win, fans of the other Milestones nominees -- Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift -- didn't seem too happy about JB trumping their faves.

"I'm 19 years old. I think I'm doing a pretty good job," Justin told the audience after taking a long pause. He's doing more than just a good job! Earlier this year, JB became the first and artist to have FIVE number one albums before his 19th birthday. Hi haters! Here are a few other reasons why Justin deserves everyone's applause.

+ His Commitment to Ending Child Hunger

His relationship with Selena Gomez may be on-again, off-again, but Justin Bieber is 100% committed to his charity work. The superstar paid a surprise visit to Las Vegas' Whitney Elementary School on Friday -- the same school he gifted with $100,000 and $100,000 worth of toys last December. Many of Whitney's students are from low-income and homeless families. The school covers families' medical, food, and other household costs, asking that their children are kept in school in return.

Justin's visit was to promote the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign, and celebrate principal Sherrie Gahn's efforts to improve her students' lives and futures. "Thanks to Whitney Elementary and Sherrie for letting me come by again," J.B. Tweeted after the event. "Love u guys. U inspire me."

+ His Expensive Undies

After receiving a lifesaving lung transplant, Hélène Campbell and the Toronto General Hospital set up the Give 2 Live Campaign to help other patients and families in need. Last month, Justin donated a pair of his tighty whities to Give 2 Live's charity auction, finally answering the age-old question that millions of Beliebers have been asking for years: boxers or briefs?

+ His Devotion to Real Change

Last month, Justin took part in CBS' "Real Change: Artists for Education" special. He spoke on the importance of education and promoted Adopt A Classroom -- an org that raises funds for teachers, who spend $1.33 billion of their own money on classroom supplies every year!

If you are commissioning a $1 million engagement ring, Justin Bieber, you might want to cancel the order. Selena Gomez revealed in a new interview that there’s still a ton of things she wants to do before settling down.

Selena Gomez Not In A Rush To Grow Up

There will NOT be any wedding bells or baby cries in Selena’s near future. Talking to Miami’s Y100, Selena was asked if she’s thought about starting a family. “Oh my god no,” Selena responded, totally shocked at the idea. “I’m not even 21 yet!”

“I’m sure I was that little girl that wanted to be married at 20, but no that’s definitely not anything I want on my radar.” Selena — smartly we might add — explains that she’s focusing on herself for the time being and isn’t in any rush to grow up.

“I have so much to have fun with and experience,” she emphasizes.

Justin Bieber: Does He Want To Settle Down With Selena Gomez?

Hopefully Justin’s on board with Selena’s current laid back policy — a new report seems to claim otherwise. Justin has asked designer Neil Lane to make a custom ring for him to give to Selena, according the Daily Star. The Biebs is reportedly planning on giving Selena the ring, which is estimated to cost about $1 million, on her birthday on July 22. Even if this reported ring isn’t meant for a proposal, it’s still likely to suggest a seriousness that Selena may not be ready for.

Until then though, Justin is allegedly happy to take things slow with Selena, a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Selena and Justin are taking things slow,” the source said. “They want to make sure that if they get back together, they can do it right.”

That’s sounds a little more up Selena’s alley than a fancy diamond ring, no?

Bieber's "Baby" has surpassed Elton John's Princess Diana-inspired 1997 re-release of "Candle in the Wind" as the highest-certified single in history. The honor comes in large part because the Recording Industry Association of America recently decided to incorporate on-demand streaming data into calculating a single's gold and platinum status. Now, 100 streams are equal to one download/purchase.

Thus, while Bieber's "Baby" has actually only "sold" around four million copies compared to "Candle in the Wind"'s 33 million, the 857 million views on Vevo for "Baby" means it's now the number one single of all time.

Booing Justin Bieber Was Wrong At Billboard Music Awards

When Justin won the fan-voted Milestone Award at the Billboard Music Awards, he was greeted by a chorus of boos, and that was just plain rude.

Justin Bieber may not have been everybody’s cup of tea in the packed Billboard Music Awards audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

It Wasn’t Cool To Boo Justin Bieber

But when he took to the stage to accept the Milestone Award, beating out Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars, an audible chorus of boos greeted his win — and that was totally unacceptable.

No. 1, booing is just plain rude; No. 2, Justin’s fans voted in such huge numbers that he received the award, so basically the audience was dissing his fans; and No. 3, Justin had just pulled off two terrific performances during the show, “Take You” and “#thatPower” with will.i.am.

So boo-ers, you were also dissing Justin’s efforts to give two dynamic performances. It was really demeaning, as if his efforts to perform were less worthy than anyone else’s.

Listen, boo-ers: Some of you may think at 19, Justin hasn’t yet earned a milestone award, but that is unfair. You can’t criticize Justin for NOT working his tail off ever since he was discovered by Scooter Braun doing YouTube videos.

Justin Bieber Has Been Extremely Successful

Since then, he has toured non-stop, put out three albums – My World 2.0, Under the Mistletoe and Believe – delivered a hit film, Never Say Never, recorded numerous number one singles and created a best-selling fragrance.

Yet, he clearly knows that he is not taken seriously in all corners of the musical world.

No wonder he felt compelled to say, “I’m 19 years old and I think I’m doing a pretty good job.”

Face it, haters: He’s doing more than a pretty good job. He’s doing a great job!

He has performed on every top TV show from Today to The View to Ellen to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and he always gives a tremendous performance.

He’s also given and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity, visited gravely ill children in hospitals, befriended terminally ill 6-year-old, Avalanna Routh – also known as Mrs. Bieber — and made her short life happier.

Those are not small things.

Justin Isn’t Perfect

Yes, he’s had his unfortunate moments with paparazzi and has been late to a few concerts. He’s not perfect.

But I can understand the frustrations that led him to say, “This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously. All this other bull should not be spoken of.”

Justin Bieber is a talented artist — probably a musical prodigy — and does deserve respect for his work ethic and musical abilities.

He may have to accept that the “bull” will be talked about. When you’re a huge, wealthy, young star, people will talk if you are partying, driving too fast or arguing with your neighbor.

There are aspects of his life that need work, like everybody’s.

Justin Bieber — Don’t Let The Haters Phase You

But Justin didn’t deserve to be booed; that’s just jealousy from some other people, and it’s unfortunate.

So, Justin, don’t let it get to you! Your fans voted for you and you deserved that award. You earned it.

Now you can focus on the positive and move forward with your career and relationships. Don’t give the haters a second thought!

Justin, 19, tweeted on May 20 that he is grateful for his double win at the awards ceremony.

“2 performances and 2 awards. Grateful to my #Beliebers . Our awards. Love u” said Justin, followed by “I love music, my fans, my family, my friends.. And I love The Lord. Blessed.”

That sounds just like his speech!

Justin was presented the award by Cee Lo Green, and when he took to the stage, he said that his career was all about his fans, and that he was tired of all the “bull” he has to deal with. He then said he loves his mom, his dad, his younger siblings and Jesus Christ, but he failed to mention his girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Maybe that is why she and Taylor Swift appeared to throw shade when he collected the award!

Justin was booed during his speech when he said that at “19 years old, I think I’m doing a pretty good job.” Many Twitter users said Justin sounded arrogant and that he should be more humble.

At least Justin knows who the important people in his life are!
