&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/o:p&gt;This special edition of Thursday Night @ the Movies will feature a screening and discussion of &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T&lt;/i&gt; led by UW-Oshkosh German Professor Alan Lareau. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 200%; margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/o:p&gt;Lareau was involved in a 2 ½ year project to restore the once-lost soundtrack to Dr. Seuss’s first and only life-action film. He is a literature scholar and expert on Frederick Hollander, a renowned German composer who originally prepared the film’s soundtrack. Lareau considers this film to be “one of the most artistically revolutionary films of the 1950s” and the film enjoys a cult following. Registration is not required. &lt;/div&gt;Writing Matters, a quarterly program where library patrons can participate in discussions, presentations, and activities centered around the art of writing, will meet on Wednesday May 11, 2011 from 1:30-3:00.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-pagination: none;"&gt;This quarter’s seminar is &lt;i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;39 Smooth&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;serif&amp;quot;;"&gt;Playwriting with Doug Flaherty&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;39 Smooth&amp;quot;,&amp;quot;serif&amp;quot;;"&gt;.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Join us as UWO Professor Emeritus Doug Flaherty leads a seminar on the ins and outs of writing a play.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;Participants should bring paper and writing utensils as we will hopefully have time to begin writing a short play during the seminar.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;All experience levels are welcome. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;This program is free and open to the public.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
