Leveraging the global resources of NBC News, this broad digital report includes video, stories, and interviews from journalists such as Richard Engel, Ayman Mohyeldin, Ali Arouzi, Amna Nawaz, Rohit Kachroo, Tazeen Ahmad and Atia Abawi. With only months to go until the presidential election, and over ten years since the 9/11 attacks, reports seek to measure America’s global stature in the eyes of China, Pakistan, Germany, South Africa, Thailand, Afghanistan, the United Kingdom, Israel, Iran, Egypt and Cuba.

Interviews feature a Pakistani lawyer fighting for the rights of drone victims, a young Chinese web entrepreneur, the Afghan leader charged with transitioning the country from U.S. to Afghan control, members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo, an American couple who moved to Jerusalem to make a life there, residents of Johannesburg’s Soweto neighborhood, an elderly German man who has spent more than 60 years of his life working and volunteering at the U.S. Army’s European headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, and more.

The series launches today with reports from Amna Nawaz in Pakistan and NBC News producer, Bo Gu, in China. New reports will run through July 4.

Schultz ranked fourth on TALKERS’ “Heavy Hundred” list of the nation’s top 250 radio hosts this year. The top three are Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage, all of whom are conservatives and nationally syndicated radio hosts. According to the magazine, their editorial board compiles its annual rankings based on a “variety of the hosts’ qualities, including: courage, impact, longevity, potential, ratings, revenue talent and uniqueness.”

“Ed Schultz’s conversion from conservative to progressive through a series of personal experiences is well documented,” the magazine wrote in its summary of Schultz. “Perhaps it is a combination of that transcendence combined with his everyman persona, gruff exterior and dogged pursuit of his ideals that makes him so popular with his audience.”

Ed Schultz hosts the 8PM hour on MSNBC, which is the number two cable news show in the hour. Most recently on his show, Vice President Joe Biden sat down with Schultz for an exclusive interview that aired on ‘The Ed Show.’

It’s one of those things where the more you learn about it, the more horrifying it becomes.’

“And the Obama administration hasn’t helped matters, he said. ‘We’ve seen no change. We’ve seen the Obama administration and [Treasury Secretary Timothy] Geithner actually codify and advance’ the broken system. ‘Instead of blaming George Bush or Bill Clinton or Barack Obama, you realize that they’re all doing it!’

“As for financial journalism’s role in the economic meltdown, he said, ‘It’s grossly disappointing.’ He laughed. ‘What do you want me to tell you? It’s embarrassing.’”

Meghan McCain has joined MSNBC as a contributor, with her first appearance today at noon ET on “NOW with Alex Wagner.” She has been a frequent MSNBC guest since 2009.

"I couldn't more be excited to be joining the MSNBC family,” said McCain. “It's a unique opportunity to share my perspective as a Republican on a network I respect and have built a relationship with over the past two years."

As the daughter of U.S. Senator John McCain, Meghan McCain was propelled into the national spotlight at an early age. Her unparalleled exposure to American politics gave her the opportunity to hear voters debate the most complex issues first-hand. McCain’s time on the campaign trail with her father inspired her acclaimed memoir, “Dirty Sexy Politics.” The book chronicles her personal journey across the American political landscape. Campaigning with her father also inspired McCain to publish “My Dad, John McCain,” an illustrated children's book that brings her father's heroic story to life.

As a columnist for The Daily Beast, she passionately discusses women's issues, social issues, marriage equality and her firm belief that there is room for all walks of life in the GOP. While in college, McCain worked at Newsweek magazine and Saturday Night Live. She is a graduate of Columbia University and currently resides in New York City.
