“I started making music after a hard breakup with a girlfriend and I guess I just needed to tell the world what I was going through.

I had planned to write this really dark song about being mad at the world, … but it somehow turned out to be very bright and inspirational.

It was cool in a way because, without the breakup, I wouldn’t have written my first dope song. That’s what inspired the name of it: Sunshine Out The Rain.”

Eventually, I got back on the ground and felt great about getting through the hard times. ”

How did you get the name G2?

“Well, in life 1, I’m G who is a thoughtful, reflective, a little overly sensitive artist type.

In life 2, I’m G the rapper, big headphones, can’t keep a good man down, dance machine, blaring into the mic, living the dream. Hence my rapper name G2.”

So What’s in store for the future?

“Overcoming life’s challenges has lead me to feel like there is nothing I can’t do, which inspired the lyrics to my first single ‘ Top Of The World’: – Standing on top of the world, living life and loving it! The whole world I want all of it!

16 Year old Albzzy is a Progressive House producer/DJ, he has been making some big movements for a guy his age, getting tracks signed to various worldwide record labels.
After hitting 10,000 total Soundcloud plays in just 4 months after joining the platform, its safe to say this guy is attracting his fair share of fans.

Having undertaken various Remix’s and Original mix’s, he has now branched out with a new track “Atmosphere” which is a chilled Dubstep track with a heavy wobble and synth.

The new album from S. Habib and Starklove titled ‘Aftanoons’ features guest appearances by Big Pepp and Jon Mercure and was produced by Starklove, DJ Bazooka Joe and Prospek.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, S. Habib (‘Beeb’s’) life began in a deprived environment where he spent his early childhood in the shadows of major crime areas, protected by his family and of course his love of Hip Hop.

It was after a move to rural Louisiana he really honed his skills, creating feelings of home with every story told.

He would return to the east coast after graduation to pursue the real Hip Hop he felt he was missing. There he met up with D.Who and they formed the duo “ahbseen kwestions” aka “OQ”. They terrorized the underground scene with amazing freestyles on display in public places such as Washington Square park, NYC.

After monthly visits to the Nuyorican Poets Cafe  (at the time hosted by Bobbito Garcia), the Duo made their way on to WKCR and the famed “Stretch and Bobbito show”. They later recorded a full length album “The Air Album” but then dropped off the scene.

Now in 2013 we meet S.Habib in a new place, with a couple of solo albums under his belt, duos with his brother (the prolific recording artist elespee) along with his children and wife, he has a new scope on life and music.

His recent release “Aftanoons” is the first solo venture release on the newly formed Guerilla Publishing NYC, an independent label with New Orleans/NYC roots.

This contemporary instrumental love lament was formed in Rixa White’s mind while he was reading Romain Rolland’s Nobel Prize winner novel, Jean-Christophe. He composed Sabine, a single track with a profound sense of drama and romanticism, which differs from his usual contemplative, melodic synthesizer music.

The music base is piano and violin, mixed with choirs and flute for creating a romantic blend of passion and melancholy.

True love never dies and in his desperate desire to snatch her from destruction, in need of denying her death, Rixa White tells the Sabine love story through harmonies and rhythms.

“Sometimes a patch of sky, large, pale blue like Sabine eyes reconnects one to an old memory. Like Jean-Christophe, I’ve dedicated this song to her and strove to call her to life in my music.” said Rixa White.

Lyrics are wonderful for expressing emotions but to recall the unique personal memory of being in love for each listener and to awake a lost love story buried deeply inside, Rixa White has chosen to release Sabine as a Romance Electronic music track without lyrics.

About The Inspiration of Jean-Christophe:

Jean-Christophe (1904 -1912) is the novel in ten volumes by Romain Rolland for which he received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1915. It was translated into English by Gilbert Cannan. The central character, Jean-Christophe Krafft, is a German musician, a composer of genius whom Romain Rolland called: “Beethoven in the modern world”.

About Silentaria: Silentaria is an Electronic New Age musical project founded in 2010 by Rixa White, entrepreneur, pianist, keyboardist, composer and poet, known as “Man in White”. The project’s music combines elements of Electronic, New Age, Contemporary Instrumental, Ambient and Progressive Rock genres. It is the reminiscence of music projects such as Enigma, Yanni, Jean Michel Jarre, Kitaro, Vangelis and Era.

Charlie agreed to do design the cover and all artwork for the new record which gives a great visual representation for the concepts and overall theme of this album. If that wasn’t exciting enough for the band, their songs seemed to strike a chord in the sports world as well.

Canadian hockey team the Oshawa Generals loved the track “Now and Then” so much that they are going to be using the song as their introduction/entrance music for the 2013/ 2014 season!

The band is building great momentum throughout Canada and now the United States. They are currently working on a Canadian and a possible US tour for this summer. So keep your eyes and ears open for Ravenscode, because they are kicking ass and taking names!

Finding his touch from his East Coast roots which lay in Bronx, NY. His style has that catchy lyricism that makes your mind think on over drive.

With the heart of a fighter and the skill set of a champion, YBG has worked day in and night out strategically, so that his lyrics are ones that the people will not forget.

His first project “Embassy Suites: The First Floor Experience” was released on DatPiff.com in August 2012 and was a work of art. Capturing the listener’s ear by playing to every emotion possible through concept based songs. Through hard work and success for the first mixtape, YBG was able to continue down this road of success and now is working on his second project titled “Breaking Bad”.

With this new project he is trying to take a more daring and vicious approach to the industry, stating that he will now target different subjects harder and new experiences will be played with to accommodate the different tastes of listeners everywhere.

YBG’s song “Glory Road” is a work of significant lyricism newly added to his music arsenal, the whole track was self-produced; from the instrumental down to the lyrics and mixing.

YBG hopes to gain much more attention from this new “Breaking Bad” project because it will feature many more original instrumentals and more swagger to his presence on this project.

The CD “Speak Deluxe” found Marla touring both China and Europe, being honored by Friends of the UN, and receiving top reviews from publications such as The Huffington Post, who said “her feisty message of peace will perhaps wake up the beast in all of us”.

“Speak” is a multi-media concert and dance piece inspired by the songs of Marla Mase’s acclaimed 2013 album, “Speak Deluxe”. Combining live music, spoken word, dance and visual imagery, Marla has teamed up with choreographer Adrienne Hurd, filmmaker James Jankiewicz, and director/producer Sara Berg (who directed A Brief Night Out, Marla’s rock opera about a women going through a mid-life rock-n-roll crisis in 2012) for one of a kind show.

“Speak” presents a powerful portrayal of “the universal woman’s” confinement, sexuality, body image, trauma, oppression and freedom, celebrating the raw reality of the human condition as expressed through the eyes, bodies, and voices of women.

Through the expressive movements of a troupe of seven dancers, each of whom has a distinct voice and tale in the mini-stories, the dancers will explore the archetypes that make up the idea of what it means to be a modern woman.

The music, co-written by Marla Mase and Tomás Doncker is an integral part of “Speak” and features elements of Rock-n-Roll with World Beat, Punk, Funk, Electronica, Reggae and Soul and will be performed live at each performance with both Mase and The Tomás Doncker Band.

Marla Mase’s “Speak” performance takes place on June 15th, 2013 in Herbert Von King Park and August 17 at The East River Park. Both performances are free to the public.
