Three British Muslims are acquitted from bombing case

Three British Muslims who were held guilty after the 2005 bombings in London, have been acquitted from the case.52 people were killed in the blasts and it is considered to be second defeat of the prosecutor.

The three men were the only people charged in the incidence and as per the British double jeopardy laws, new evidence will be required to start another prosecution case on them.

North Korea threatens to conduct a nuclear test

North Korea said that it will carry out a nuclear missile test if the United Nation Security Council condemns the recent rocket launched by the country. Interestingly a few neighboring countries of North Korea said they couldn’t locate the rocket launched by North Korea.

North is asking United Nation to apologize for condemning the rocket launching as tighter sanctions were imposed on the country after the launch.

Asian markets recovers on Wednesday

The global stock market performed better than expected on Wednesday and the changes in market situation brought new hope to investors towards American economy. In the last two days the economy was low and the stocks like airlines stocks reached a new low but Wednesday was an auspicious day for investors.

U.S. consumer confidence raised in the month of April ad it suggested that economy will rebound in coming months.

President asks a review of the situation about the low flying Boeing 747

A white house official informed that the administration head who allowed the low flying Boeing to pass through the skyline of New York will have to loose his job. Primary presidential aircraft Air Force One speeded through the skyline of New York on Monday and an F-16 jet followed it.

It was a government sponsored flying photo shoot but the mission created confusion in people who were working in the area and many considered it to be another militant attack.

Lanka halts operation to allow civilians to leave LTTE areas

Sri Lanka has vowed that it will not allow the Tamil Tigers to rebel itself in the time gap when they halted the war to allow civilians to leave he region occupied by the Tamil Tigers. French and U.K envoys have been visiting the country to discuss the plight of the civilians that are trapped in the war zone.

The government troops said it is halting heavy firing because its aim is to rescue the 20,000 civilians that are still held by the LTTE.

Swine flu cases reported in Mexico, U.S. and Canada

Swine flu killed 149 people in Mexico and other cases of Swine flue are reported from U.S. and Canada. The stock market suffered a blow after the reports of sine flu came out. Oil fell below $49 a barrel and June delivery rate of crude is lowered to $48.78 a barrel in Singapore.

It is suspected the swine flu will restrict travel and trading will be effected. Airport authorities in various countries have set up precautions to disallow passengers with swine flu to enter their city.

Yen gained strength on Tuesday on account of Flu concerns

European shares were down by almost 2% on Tuesday and it helped Yen to gain and it gained to a seven week high against Euro that is almost a month high against dollar. Dollar also gained value because it is considered to be safe in investors.

The market was affected by Flu stories and the other reports that had their impact on market were the reports of Citi and Bank of America. Investors are waiting to get the results of the stress test that will be held on May 4.

Pakistani youngster worried over country’s situation

International image of Pakistan is changed in the last few years the youngsters in the country are getting worried over their existence. Pakistan is considered to be a failed state by the young generation in the country and old still expect that things will change some day. The growth of fundamentalist organization increased terrorist attacks and the indecisive politicians are unable to find way out of the trouble.

Youngsters in the country have been telling that their country is on a wrong path. Many civilians are leaving the Taliban dominated areas of the country.

Low-flying Boeing 747 frightened New Yorkers

New Yorkers feared a terrorists attack when a low flying jet speeded through the skyline of the city. The low flying Boeing 747 is used as Air Force One and it swept passed New York skyline on Monday morning.

The employees who saw the low flying jet from their office building said they feared it to be a terrorist attack and employees in various offices said ran like hell. There was panic on streets as the jet flew over the city.

Americans disillusioned by Church policies

According to the latest survey Americans are disillusioned about religion because of their Church’s policies. Almost 75% of the Roman Catholics and Protestants are not attached to their religion. The survey was conducted by Pew Forum and it found that almost 50% of the people have stopped believing in religion once in their lifetime.

The study also found that personal theories are projected and traditional system is not being carried out in religious practices. A few left religions because of scandals associated to church.
