The shot above is straight from the guys themselves and looks incredibly promising, looking less of a concept and more of an in-the-pipeline piece of work to us! Seems to be taking some styling cues from a few corners of the automotive world, notably Aston Martin and the Nissan GTR if we were to pick two in particular, the look is sleek and fresh and we can see this model appealing greatly to general buyers, particularly across Europe as the style will suit the European taste very well we feel.

If Toyota keeps up such great looking cars, and can provide the driving experience to match, they will assert themselves in the marketplace as one of the top popular marques and ensure their future in the process, keep it up boys!

We dont yet know how the new Mercedes will look for real, but we are certain it will be a stunner, competition is strong in the sector and Mercedes need to come up with something special for the new SLK to make it stand out successfully from the crowd.

Three separate power sources will share the duties of propelling this concept, depending on the specific set of circumstances.

The car is understood to have three methods of propulsion, firstly for normal driving conditions there will be a 2.0 liter turbocharged “Boxer” engine mated to a Lineartronic CVT, and like the Toyata hybrid efforts, an electric motor is attached to the engine acting as a 10kW motor when power is required and as a generator to recharge the Lion battery at other times.

There is also a second electric motor generating 20kW attached to the rear wheels and is used in low speed driving conditions and when full throttle is applied.

Also included are gullwing doors for both front and rear passengers and a height adjustable dashboard to allow the driver to get the best view of the road ahead.

If you love the 2010 Dodge Challenger, you’re going to love this concept of the old Plymouth Road Runner. Who is the artist of this new famous concept you might ask? The artist is Michael Leonhard, a car designer from Vienna Austria. The man is definitely talented that’s for sure. The rumor going around the web is this rendering could be the new Plymouth Road Runner for 2011. I’m skeptic to say the least, especially since Chrysler just filed bankruptcy. I don’t think the car company can afford to make another muscle car, I think Chrysler is concentrating all its energy in making an electric car or hydrogen car instead. If the muscle car does come out though, I’m definitely for it, I would love to see another retro muscle car out on the road. Every time I see a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro or a 2010 Dodge Challenger, my head spins and my eyes just gawk in amazement.

My favorite part of the Plymouth Road Runner concept is the front, the glowing halogen head lights just look so cool and add a unique look to its bulky front end. The wheels are decent looking, need a little work. And the back end just screams “bite my dust!” If you check out the car from the side picture, it really brings the muscle car together. All in all, I think Michael Leonhard did a fine job creating this futuristic Plymouth Road Runner. It would be great to see it in real life and one day get passed by it out on the road.

Probably my favorite concept ever, but I’m still not sure, there are so many sweet car concepts out there. It sure is a shame GM never went through with this 1999 Pontiac GTO concept, the car has the sweet angles just like the 2010 Camaro. But, when GM revived the GT0 in 2004 they brought the Holden Monaro’s V platform over from Australia for the GTO. Some where impressed, others very disappointed. I think I was both a little impressed and disappointed when I first saw the 2004 Pontiac GTO in person. I thought it looked sleek and sweet, but thought it didn’t have that American muscle car appeal like the old 1964 Pontiac GTO. That’s probably why the car didn’t last and was discontinued in 2006.

When GM put this concept out on display at the Auto Show, I think a lot of muscle car enthusiasts thought they were going to come out with the actual model just as they did with the Camaro. When I really think about it, if GM would of done this with the GTO concept model as they did with the Camaro concept I think they would of sold a lot more GTOs and the car would of been a hit. GM failed miserably, you see how long it took them to bring back the Camaro. This is one of the reasons why they are borrowing money and claimed Bankruptcy this year. Upper management built cars they wanted to build, not what the American people wanted.

Maybe one day they’ll revive the GTO again, but with more American muscle car appeal like this concept.

Julio Engelke is a 25 year old designer from Venezuela. He currently studies Mechanical Engineering but, his true passion is car designing, and I must tell you, he is really talented!

He first has started designing cars by hand, but three years ago he began making projects using computer softwares. Julio Engelke has as inspiration sources the nature, a particular city or a feeling, “for me, the color combinations are important, in addition to the shape” he said. Alright, no more talking, let’s some samples of his spectacular concept cars:

As you can notice, these concepts are really impressive and I think that Julio will definitely get a job in the auto design industry. Very soon, his concept cars could be seen on streets.
