Chick-Fil-A is kicking off their annual "March Madness" promotion again tomorrow (March 5). Basically, if you do it right, you're eligible for up to four buy one, get one free meals from Chick-Fil-A in the month of March. Details on how this works after the jump.

Every Friday in March (the 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th), if you go to Chick-Fil-A and buy a meal, you are entitled to come back any other day and present the receipt for a free meal (I believe it must be the same as the one listed on the receipt). Reminder: Get Your Free Grand Slam at Denny's Today From 6 - 2

It's that time again... Denny's promised during the Super Bowl to offer a free grand slam to anyone and everyone on Tuesday, February 9 from 6 am to 2 pm. The picture above is the line from last year, so those in the Northeast with snow everywhere may find it isn't worth standing in the cold for some pancakes and eggs. However, it was very organized at my location last year and the total time spent standing outside was only about 20 minutes.

EDIT: Each location has about 1,000 rain checks if you don't want to wait in line. They are good until the end of February.

Little Caesar's is having a customer appreciation day event on February 10. They will have unlimited cheese and pepperoni pizzs for $3.99 each. While these pizzas are only $5 on a normal day, they're an even better deal for $4. No need to call ahead, they'll have them ready-made waiting to be picked up.

Until recently, the last time I ate at Little Caesar's, they were still serving pizza in bags as opposed to boxes!

Review: Maruchan Yakisoba Bowl (Chicken Flavor)

This is the first of many reviews of affordable pre-packaged foods. These will generally be reviews of options of items that can make a cheap lunch that can be taken on the go.

Maruchan, one of the largest manufacturers of ramen noodles, has a yakisoba bowl available in select markets now. While this review focuses on the chicken flavor, these bowls are available in teriyaki, savory soy sauce, cheddar cheese, four cheese, tomato & basil, roast chicken, and probably even more flavors in the ever-growing stable.

The yakisoba bowls sell for an MSRP of $1.00, so they cost more than the 5/$1 standard ramen packages Maruchan sells. However, you get a little more for your money, too. You get the requisite slab of uncooked noodles, a flavor packet (like instant ramen includes), and a vegetable packet. Basically, the contents are the same as what you'd get with Nissin's "cup noodles," but you get a significantly larger bowl's worth of food.

Preparation is incredibly simple (see image above for exact steps). The standard-fare add water, microwave, then mix in the ingredient packets. They added the nice touch of putting a "fill line" on the bowl (pictured), so you don't even have to measure anything out, which is a plus for the working crowd.

Preparation: 4/5 noodles

Now onto the finished product: I was overall pleased with the taste of the yakisoba bowl. I'd rank it above plain-old ramen and even above cup noodles. The vegetables were surprisingly tasty, and really spruced up the overall bowl.

Taste: 4/5 noodles

My only complaint with this meal is the cost. I know $1 isn't a lot to pay, but you really only get slightly more than you'd get from a 20-cent package of ramen. The amount of noodles and seasoning included are about the same, so 80 cents for a plastic bowl and a small pack of vegetables seems a bit steep. Maybe a price more in-line with the 60-70 cents for cup noodles would be more reasonable.

Value: 3/5 noodles

Overall Rating: 4/5 noodles
