SHIFT Patch Details Announced

Details of the forthcoming second patch for Need for Speed SHIFT were revealed today on EA official forums. Quite a large number of issues are to be addressed, with some of the more prevalent fixes being:

- General game stability and performance improvements
- Improved car handling
- Fix for issue where some cars would bounce on their suspension
- Fix for Lamborghini's having a low top speed when upgraded
- Fix for Corvette Z06 and Dodge Viper not able to move at the start of some events
- Improved ATi graphics card support

Aside from these, an enhancement: the maximum number of online players in a race will be increased from 8 to 12.

As a part of the 100 million Need for Speed celebration, a new interview with Marc De Vellis is now available on the official website. Marc is a physics producer and former professional race car driver who has been with the team since 2001.

New Showroom Moderator

Many showroom users have lately been dissatisfied with the current situation in the showroom. Some users have left the site and many have required a new SRmod. I was one of those who wanted a more active person to moderate the showroom (no hard feelings YaelDjiel :wink: ) so I asked Bojan if he can hire someone to do the duty. I suggested him some users but then he asked if I can be a SRmod and after some thinking I said yes.

So now I will try to clean up the showroom from unrelated pictures and multiple uploads and watch that people obey the rules. I will also be responsible for SR Challenges (you can suggest themes on my shoutbox or pm) and first SHIFT challenge should be soon.

I hope that you could tell me your views of how to make the showroom better and report if you notice someone breaking the rules. But I hope you realize that I won't be here 24/7 so nothing happens in a second. You can also tell your showroom worries to the rest of the staff and YaelDjiel will still be a SRmod with me.

Share your Need for Speed SHIFT performance car setups right here on NFSUnlimited.net!
If you have a great car setup, simply fill out this form and your setup will be online instantly for the whole world to see.
But if you just want to be competitive online or post good times for the online leaderboards, simply go to the car setups page and find out the setup you want, we have a filter that allows you to search through cars, their ratings, tiers and drive.

Since it's a brand new feature, there might some oddities here and there. We'll be happy if you let us know of any problems you encounter and any suggestions you may have.

You can now subscribe to the official Need for Speed Community Podcast on iTunes, just click this link. All three podcasts released so far are available which means you can listen the ones you've missed.

Be sure to listen to the latest episode as they reveal a bit of new info regarding Need for Speed SHIFT patch. Release date should be mid november, among other things it will introduce 12 people online races and fix the bouncing bugs.
