Nissan North America has extended its commitment to early childhood literacy in Middle Tennessee by granting US$ 100,000 to Governor's Books from Birth Foundation (GBBF). Joined by First Lady Crissy Haslam, Nissan presented the check to GBBF President Theresa Carl during a reading event at Casa Azafrán Early Learning Center in Nashville, Tennessee, in celebration of Tennessee's Imagination Library Week and Nissan's ongoing support of the Foundation.

The donated funds will be used to provide age-appropriate books each month to preschool children who are enrolled in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library programs in Davidson, Franklin, Rutherford and Williamson counties — the four counties where Nissan has operational facilities in the state.

"Nissan sponsors many educational programs to help children and youth learn and grow," said Rebecca Vest, Nissan Vice-President of Corporate Development and Social Responsibility. "There is no better way to nurture opportunity in the communities where we live and work than to promote literacy and a desire to learn among children from an early age. We are proud to partner with Governor's Books from Birth Foundation and Tennessee's Imagination Library."

President of GBBF Theresa Carl added, "We know that early learning and reading skills are absolutely critical for a child's success in life. Our continued partnership with Nissan through the years has made a significant impact on enrollment growth and on the lives of the thousands of children served by this program."

To
coincide with the International Day for Biological Diversity, the
United Nations sanctioned global day for the promotion of biodiversity
issues, Apollo Tyres and Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) announced their
partnership on a critical mangrove restoration project in the Kannur
district of Kerala.

The Kannur Kandal Project –
'kandal' being the Malayalam word for mangroves – aims to ensure the
survival of existing mangroves and increase the acreage of such habitats
across Kannur, potentially making it a prototype for other coastal
districts of Kerala and a model for the rest of the country.

Mangrove
forests are unique ecosystems, extremely rich in biodiversity, growing
along inter-tidal coastal habitats such as shorelines, estuaries and
backwaters. They are both refuges and nurseries for a large variety of
threatened terrestrial and aquatic species, and for people living in
coastal communities they are an important source of fodder, medicines
and firewood. They also act as barriers against cyclones and tsunamis
(evidenced in their important role in reducing the impact of the 2004
Indian Ocean tsunami), prevent coastal erosion, and maintain inland
water quality by preventing sea water intrusion.

However,
mangrove forests have faced considerable destruction the world over,
with less than half of the original acreage remaining. About half of
that loss has occurred in the last 50 years, and a significant amount in
just the last two decades, especially due to human population growth
and intrusive development. (Data from Global Forest Watch, an online
forest monitoring platform, shows that the world lost 192,000 hectares
of mangroves between 2001 and 2012.)

Mangrove area in
Kerala has also reduced drastically over the years, with only 1750
hectares of an estimated historical 70,000 hectares remaining.
Conversion into coconut plantations or other agricultural land,
aquaculture, unscientific water regulation, population pressures, real
estate development, inadequate enforcement of laws, etc have all
contributed towards mangrove destruction.

The actual
site for Apollo Tyres-WTI's project will be in Kunhimangalam village in
Kannur district, which is one of the largest mangrove villages of
Kerala. The project will establish a hub, located in the natural
ecosystem, for mangrove-based education, serving as an open air
laboratory for research and promoting restoration through community and
government participation. A mangrove nursery and community-based
initiatives to enhance public awareness and reduce threats to mangroves
are other aspects of the project. Particular efforts will be made to
generate scientific interest about mangroves among the youth.

Land secured with the support of World Land Trust, an international NGO will serve as the nodal site for all conservation activities conducted by WTI and Apollo under this project.

"Biodiversity
conservation is an important thrust area within our Environmental
Sustainability initiative – HabitAt Apollo. We are happy to partner with
Wildlife Trust of India on mangrove conservation, a project that has
huge ecological significance. This association reflects our commitment
towards bringing conservation issues to the forefront, raising awareness
and creating positive impact," said Satish Sharma, President, Asia
Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA
region), Apollo Tyres Ltd., on the commencement of the mangrove
conservation project.

Vivek Menon, WTI's Executive
Director & CEO, added, "The abuse and decline of our mangrove
forests should be of particular concern to all of us. Primarily for the
loss of their marvellous biodiversity, but also for their value as a
natural buffer against climate change and its attendant adverse effects.
I am extremely pleased, therefore, that we at the Wildlife Trust of
India have partnered with Apollo Tyres to launch the Kannur Kandal
Project. This is a crucial first step towards the securing and
restoration of our mangrove forests; I trust that as the project unfolds
it will serve as a model for Kerala and subsequently, the rest of
coastal India."

For more than 20 years, Toyota has been developing and maintaining a
unique forestry project just a few kilometers from the factories and
offices of its corporate headquarters. Known as the Forest of Toyota,
the project is slated to receive an award for contributions to a green society from Japan's Organisation for Landscape and Urban Green Infrastructure.

In
1992, Toyota initiated the project on a 15-hectare company-owned plot,
with the goal of cultivating a healthy forest area based on Japan's
satoyama model of bio-diverse landscapes where humans interact with
nature. The Forest of Toyota opened to the public in 1997, and since
then has expanded to 45 hectares. It features areas thick with wildlife
that are perfect for observing fauna and flora, as well as areas set
aside for the conservation of rare creatures and plants. The site is
maintained in such a way as to emphasize its natural topography and
geographical features.

Hands-on educational programs
began in 2001 and continue to this day, with children from local
elementary schools taking part in courses taught by nature guides. Every
year, around 7,000 school children participate in these activities, and
the number of visitors topped 138,000 by April 2015.

Representatives
from Toyota will receive an award for the project at a ceremony to be
held on October 1 at Aichi Prefectural University. The awards, now in
their third year, aim to promote corporate tree-planting initiatives and
the creation of urban environments with abundant greenery and charm.
The Organisation for Landscape and Urban Green Infrastructure recognises
corporations which have outstanding records of environmental success in
preserving biodiversity, and which have made significant contributions

Ford Motor Company is donating seven Ford Flex utility vehicles to
the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), extending a strong relationship
that has assisted disabled military veterans for 93 years.

The vehicles will become part of the DAV Transportation Network that
enlists volunteer drivers to take sick and disabled veterans to VA
medical centers across the country. They will be deployed to DAV
locations in Little Rock, Arkansas, Iowa City, Iowa, Iron Mountain,
Michigan, Omaha, Nebraska, Portland, Oregon, Salt Lake City, Utah and
Seattle, Washington. Since 1996, Ford has donated 199 vehicles to the
DAV fleet.

"Transportation and community service are
two important areas where Ford excels," said Jim Vella, President, Ford
Motor Company Fund and Community Services. "We are proud to be able to
help these heroes of freedom get the critical services they need to make
their lives better."

DAV National Commander Ron Hope
added, "We are extremely proud of our long partnership with Ford Motor
Company. Ford is an American institution and we're grateful they
continue to support the men and women who preserve the American way of
life we hold sacred. Without this donation many of these veterans would
go without the medical care they earned."

Ford Motor Company Fund is expanding its innovative Ford Driving
Dreams educational tour for the first time to an international market
with a program in Panama that will help more than 300 young teens learn
skills to keep them in school.

Ford and Ford Fund, the philanthropic
arm of Ford Motor Company, launched the Ford Driving Dreams Tour in
Panama. The tour is an education initiative that will deliver more than
US$ 50,000 in motivational activities, school grants and scholarships
designed to prevent students from dropping out of school. Ford is
collaborating on the tour with United Way Panama and the Ministry of
Education of Panama.

"For more than 100 years Ford
Motor Company has worked to make a better world for the communities
where we do business," said Jim Vella, President, Ford Motor Company
Fund and Community Services. "The vitality and growth of every nation
depends in great part on educating our young people, and we are excited
to bring our innovative program for helping kids stay in school to
Panama."

The Ford Driving Dreams Tour in Panama will
focus on middle school students ages 13-15. According to the University
of Panama's Research Center, this is the population at most risk of
dropping out of school due to a combination of social and economic
factors, such as the lack of resources for school supplies, meals and
transportation, among others.

More than 300 students
from 19 public schools located in some of the most vulnerable
communities in and near the capital such as San Miguelito, and the
nearby provinces of West Panama and Colon were selected by Panama's
Ministry of Education to participate in the program. While these
students are in good academic standing and have untapped potential, they
are vulnerable due to socio-economic factors and at risk of dropping
out of school. Each of the 19 participating schools will receive a US$
2,000 grant to support needed resources that will improve the learning
environment for their students.

As part of the program,
students experienced a full day of high-energy motivational and
goal-setting activities led by professional subject-matter experts. They
also heard life-changing testimonies from motivational speakers, such
as former Boxing World Champion Chemito Moreno and athlete César Barría
who is the first Latin-American and Central-American with a disability
to swim across the Strait of Gibraltar. Students were inspired and
motivated to lead a positive life, define their dreams and acquire the
skills to achieve them.

The Ford Driving Dreams Tour
will also deliver US$ 10,500 in scholarships through the "What Drives
Your Dreams?" essay contest. The contest reinforces the importance of
education while pursuing a dream and giving back to the community. The
scholarships will help students and their families defray the costs of
school supplies, books, transportation, meals and other basic needs that
often keep students from finishing the school year and moving on to the
next grade level. The scholarships will be administered by United Way
Panama.

The Ford Driving Dreams Tour was designed by
Ford Motor Company Fund to help Latino youth graduate on time and pursue
higher education. Launched in 2012, the program has reached more than
30,000 students in Chicago, Indiana, Florida and Texas. Ford Driving
Dreams initiatives, including the Tour, have delivered more than US$
1,500,000 in educational resources such as scholarships, college
preparedness, tutoring programs, parental engagement, and motivational
activities. In addition to Panama, the tour will be implemented in
Northern California in 2015.

Through its non-profit Visteon Fund, Visteon Corporation recently
donated US$ 4,000 to support a leadership-building program for students
at Tyler Elementary School in Belleville, Michigan, near the company's
corporate offices and innovation center in Van Buren Township.

The
donation was facilitated by one of the company's employee resource
groups, Women in Visteon, in support of the school's 'Leader in Me'
program. The innovative, school-wide model is based on the '7 Habits of
Highly Effective People' created by the late Stephen R. Covey – which is
designed to develop leadership skills and build confidence in students
from childhood.

Tyler Elementary recently completed its
second year of participation in the Leader in Me program, which teaches
critical thinking, goal setting, listening and speaking, self-directed
learning, presentation-making and the ability to work in groups – all
skills designed to enhance the future workforce.

"Things
that we have done this year are proof that when children are given the
opportunity to lead, great things happen. And great things have
definitely happened at Tyler," said Aleisa Pitt, Principal, Tyler
Elementary School.

Drive for Life (DFL), the Norwegian charity, is to become the
official charity partner to the FIA European Rallycross Championship
presented by Monster Energy (Euro RX), after agreeing terms with
Championship promoter, IMG. The new partnership will help DFL expand further into Europe where it will continue to help disadvantaged children.

Established
in 2011 by rallycross driver Knut Ove Borseth, DFL aims to help
under-privileged children by providing support to individuals and their
communities. Through an automotive focused programme run at local
workshops and with educational classroom activities, DFL provides its
students with inspiration, motivation and life skills. Each DFL student
has their own dedicated follow-up plan, developed in collaboration with
their teachers, parents and public healthcare services.

Supported
by the Crown Prince of Norway, DFL currently works with councils,
police and social services to select entrants in over 25 regions across
Norway and Sweden. Each group follows the same structure - five students
followed by two supervisors, one evening per-week, 48 weeks per year.

A
new DFL RX Team will compete at selected Euro RX events and will be
fully-funded by wildcard entrants to help promote the charity.
Furthermore, a number of DFL students will be able to attend certain
Euro RX events, meet the DFL RX drivers, work on rallycross team cars
and travel as a member of the team.

"I have been very
impressed by Drive for Life's philanthropic achievements and it is an
honour to have them on board as our new Official Charity Partner. The
statistics from DFL's Norwegian programme has revealed that 87 per cent
of its students stayed on at school for a further year, which is a
fantastic achievement. With over ten events staged across Europe, we can
offer DFL a platform to promote the charity's work with children. Not
only that, but we can help expand DFL's reach with introductions to new
markets such as Spain, which currently has a 23.5 per cent school
drop-out rate. We are very much looking forward to working with DFL on
its RX programme and will look to support our chosen charity in as many
ways as possible over the next few years," said Martin Anayi, World RX
Managing Director for IMG.

Knut Ove Borseth, Founder,
Drive for Life, added, "This is fantastic! To be given the opportunity
to work with Euro RX and IMG in such a partnership will give many young
people throughout Europe a new chance. Through this partnership, we will
get the opportunity to spread our message and team activities to
thousands of youths across Europe, and it is with great humility that we
now undertake this responsibility. Drive for Life shall give
thrill-seeking youths with a desire for risk, a legal and action-filled
alternative, and a team to be proud of. With clear team rules, we will
together create a healthy and good future for those who want to
participate in our black and orange team. For me, this is a dream come
true - a dream that will give youth a second chance to be seen, and to
experience mastery and belonging."

Managing Director of
TRH Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit's Foundation,
Solfrid Flateby, concluded, "We are proud to have been DFL's partner for
several years, and are happy to see the results of their hard work -
for youth! We wish them the very best as the chosen partner for Euro
RX."

The North Texas Ford Dealers and Ford Motor Company Fund wrapped up
the school year by awarding nearly US$ 350,000 in scholarships and
technology prizes to North Texas students from more than 100 high
schools located in the communities where Ford dealers operate.

Ford
announced and celebrated the scholarship winners at a special event
that also brought together parents, educators and community leaders.
Nearly 80 per cent of the scholarship recipients plan to pursue a degree
in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and the majority
will attend universities in Texas. The STEM fields represent tremendous
job opportunities, especially in Texas. According to a study by STEM
Connector, Where are the STEM Students? Texas ranks second as the state
projected to have most STEM jobs in the country by 2018.

Participating
Ford dealers worked with high schools in their neighborhoods and
awarded up to three scholarships at each school. This localized approach
ensures that Ford's educational efforts reach the expansive North Texas
area from Dallas and Gainesville to Fairfield.

"The
North Texas Ford Dealers are part of the fabric of this community and by
working jointly with Ford Fund, this year we have doubled our
scholarship investment and are able to help our young people achieve a
stronger future," said Sam Pack, Chairman, North Texas Ford Dealers.
"It's been exciting to connect with our local high schools and close the
school year knowing that Ford will make a college education more
accessible for many local students."

Scholarship
recipient Selena Marroquin, 18, will be the first in her family to go to
college and was inspired by a friend to pursue a degree in science.
"During my middle school years, I had a best friend who had cancer. This
experience moved me to become involved in science and medicine," said
Marroquin. "Currently I have a part-time job to make money to save for
college and the Ford scholarship gets me closer to fulfilling my purpose
in life and join the medical field to help others like my friend."
Marroquin graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School and plans to pursue
a degree in biology at University of Texas, Dallas.

The
scholarships are part of Ford's overall education efforts in North
Texas and conclude the Ford Driving Dreams initiatives for the 2014-2015
school year, which focused on promoting reading at an early age and
helping students graduate from high school on time, and go to college.
The scholarships were administered by Stars on the Rise, an education
initiative by the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The first four-year recipients to benefit from the Buick Achievers
Scholarship Program are receiving their degrees this year as the General
Motors Foundation announced nearly US$ 1.2-million in new scholarships
of up to US$ 25,000 a year for 50 students to pursue degrees in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM.

Students
can be selected for the scholarship after high school graduation or
during any year of college study. Of the new class of recipients, 62 per
cent are first-generation college students and 68 per cent come from
diverse backgrounds. Nearly one in four have ties to the military,
having served themselves or as dependents of a current or former service
member.

To celebrate the combined achievements of the
inaugural graduating class of Buick Achievers with the announcement of
2015 recipients, Diego Gonzalez, a Buick Achiever and 2015 San Diego
State University graduate, teamed up with Buick last month to surprise
high school senior Stewart Martin of Winston-Salem, N.C., with a US$
25,000 scholarship.

"Growing up, I loved racing. My dad
told me about Nascar engineers - and I chose that career path because
it follows my dreams and it's a way to connect with my father," said
Martin, whose father passed away when Stewart was a young child. "I'm so
thankful for this scholarship. It brings me one step closer to following
my dream."

Martin plans to major in mechanical engineering at UNC Charlotte.

"The
future of our country lies in technology and innovation and depends on a
strong pipeline of highly skilled talent," said Bob Ferguson, Chairman,
GM Foundation. "Our scholarship program is helping bridge the gap
between a skilled workforce and positions that companies are looking to
fill."

Duncan Aldred, U.S. Vice-President, Buick,
added, "The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program has become one of the
most impactful in the county, demonstrating our commitment to those
students who excel while also giving back to their community. This
graduating class serves as a testament to what this scholarship has done

Ford Motor Company Fund has donated five Ford Transit vans to the American Red Cross, building on more than 30 years of jointly supporting disaster relief.

The new Ford Transit high-roof vans with 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engines were delivered to five locations in the US - Detroit, Michigan; Lexington, Kentucky; Louisville, Kentucky; Cleveland, Ohio; and Portland, Oregon.

Each year, the Red Cross responds to approximately 70,000 disasters of all sizes, from single-family house fires to widespread weather damage from tornadoes and hurricanes.

"The American Red Cross is often first on the scene to assist those in need, and these Ford Transit vehicles play an important role in helping them deliver food, water and medical supplies as quickly as possible," said Jim Vella, President, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services.

Foxes and Citroen have successfully completed a Guinness World
Records title attempt for the 'most live concerts performed in 12 hours
in different cities'. The title attempt took place with the goal of
raising money for the hugely worthwhile cancer charity Trekstock.

The record-breaking series of gigs was completed at House of Vans in London.

The
city to city Guinness World Records title achievement saw Foxes
perform seven live concerts at seven different locations in the UK in
only 12 hours, with a New Citroen C1 used to travel between the venues.
The concerts also included an exclusive debut performance of Foxes new
single 'Body Talk', which is due to be released in the UK on July 24.

"It's
been amazing to see this challenge through to the finishing line. It's
been a long day, but Im so excited to be able to say that I'm now a
Guinness World Records title holder. I'd like to say a huge thanks to
Citroen and my team for making this become a reality. After taking the
New C1 from city to city, I'm more determined than ever to pass my
driving test and get out on the open road," said Foxes.

Scania South Africa's work to prevent the further spread of HIV/AIDS
has won the Swedish Workplace HIV/AIDS Programme's (SWHAP) Most
Comprehensive Programme Achievement Award 2014.

The SWHAP Most Comprehensive Programme Achievement Award 2014 was presented to Scania South Africa primarily for its employee support programme.

SWHAP is an initiative from the International Council of Swedish
Industry (NIR) and the Swedish Industrial and Metalworkers' Union (IF
Metall) to support HIV and AIDS programmes at Swedish related workplaces
in Sub-Saharan Africa.

"The employee support
programme assists in early diagnosis, access to treatment and continuous
support for employees and their families. Currently over 90 percent of
Scania's employees are aware of their HIV status and 44 out of 55 HIV
positive employees are on treatment," said John Viner, Programme
Manager, SWHAP.

Andreas Foller, Sustainability Manager,
Scania, added, "Health and safety has always been important to Scania.
The foundation to our success has been having motivated, engaged and
highly skilled employees. The achievements of Scania in South Africa are
a real inspiration to the rest of Scania."

Through its non-profit Visteon Fund, Visteon Corporation is
contributing US$ 200,000 over four years to the Michigan Science Center

the global automotive supplier's commitment to igniting an interest in
STEM education among children.

MiSci will put the
Visteon Fund donation toward its many engaging activities, community
outreach programs, traveling exhibits and more. MiSci offers an
interactive approach to science, with hands-on exhibits, live shows,
theaters and more.

"This is part of our ongoing effort
to invest in the next generation of scientists, engineers and
innovators, and enhance the communities where we do business," said Tim
Leuliette, Visteon President & CEO. "The Michigan Science Center
plays a key role in inspiring curious minds of all ages to discover,
explore and appreciate science, technology, engineering and math. As an
innovative company based in southeast Michigan, Visteon is pleased to be
a partner in the growth of this important Detroit-based institution."

Dr.
Tonya Matthews, President & CEO, Michigan Science Center, added,
"We are thankful for the continued operational support from leading STEM
companies in the area, such as Visteon. This contribution will assist
us in strengthening MiSci's role as the STEM hub of greater Detroit and
Michigan, and will enable us to touch the lives of families statewide."

Nissan announced a US$ 50,000 cash donation to the American Red Cross
in support of relief efforts after devastating floods and tornadoes
ripped through communities in Texas and Oklahoma this month. Areas
affected include the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, together with the Irving, Denton, Weatherford, Cleburne, Corsicana, Terrell, Greenville and McKinney areas.

The
funds will be used to assist the American Red Cross in providing food,
shelter, relief supplies, emotional support, recovery planning and other
assistance as well as supporting the vehicles, warehouses and people
that make that help possible.

"We want to help those
whose lives have been disrupted by the devastating storms that have hit
the Texas region," said Jose Munoz, Chairman, Nissan North America. "The
Red Cross is well respected as an organization that can act quickly to
assess and react to disasters. We know they will help hundreds or
perhaps thousands of people in the coming weeks, including our
customers, dealers and employees who are dealing with the aftermath of
these extreme weather conditions."

In recognition of Military Appreciation Month, the General Motors
Foundation announced a US$ 1-million grant to Habitat for Humanity to
fund projects, including 11 new home builds in partnership with Habitat
families, with the goal of assisting current and former military service members.

The
grant will also support two international revitalization projects in
Brazil and the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Nepal.

"A
permanent home not only provides stability for families but gives them a
sense of belonging in a greater community," said Vivian Pickard, GM
Foundation President. "These things are particularly important for our
veterans and military service members, and we are committed to helping
them - and all of our Habitat partner families - realize home ownership
and take advantage of programs designed to move their lives forward in
positive ways."

This partnership will help give US
military service members and veterans access to job training programs
and fund the development of training programs to help Habitat affiliates
better engage with their local veteran communities.

The
announcement was made in Austin, Texas, home of the GM Austin IT
Innovation Center. Austin is also home to a significant number of
current and former members of the military who work for GM. Many of
those employees joined the GM Foundation for the announcement, along
with Austin Mayor Steve Adler, Austin City Council Member Sabino 'Pio'
Renteria, and representatives from Habitat for Humanity International
and Austin Habitat for Humanity.

"Habitat is grateful
for the continued support of the General Motors Foundation," said
Jonathan Reckford, CEO, Habitat for Humanity International. "This new
funding will provide opportunities for many families - and veterans in
particular - to partner with Habitat affiliates across the US to build
or repair their homes. The donation demonstrates a deep commitment from
the General Motors Foundation to help Habitat change lives and transform
communities."

Construction and revitalization projects will take place in these cities:
• Tonawanda, N.Y.
• Atlanta
• Austin, Texas
• Flint, Mich.
• Wentzville, Mo.
• Detroit
• Columbia, S.C.
• Charlotte, N.C.
• Los Angeles
• Sao Paulo
• Pokhara, Nepal

General
Motors' team GM Cares volunteers from the company's operations across
the country commit to volunteer for each project, including many GM
employees who are veterans. This summer, local GM employees will lead
volunteer efforts on the Austin Habitat home build, dedicated to a
veteran.

GM's commitment to US servicemen and women is
extended by Chevrolet, Buick and GMC through the GM Military Discount
Program offered to all active, reserve, retired and veteran military -
regardless of separation date - now through June 30, 2015.

Infiniti donated more than US$ 1-million as part of the brand's
ongoing corporate partnership with NCAA Division I men's basketball and
the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Randy Parker,
Vice-President, Infiniti Americas, presented the checks to the winners at Infiniti Americas headquarters in Tennessee.

Head
coach Matt Painter and the Purdue Boilermakers fans won the annual
Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge, the first time the head coach and
school have won. Painter's chosen charity, the Smith BReaK Thru Fund,
received a check for US$ 100,000. Infiniti donated another US$ 267,500
to various philanthropic organizations that were individually selected
by the other NABC coaches in the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge.

"We're
honored to continue our support of the Coaches' Charity Challenge, the
NABC and the American Cancer Society through Coaches vs. Cancer," said
Parker. "Coach Painter and the Purdue Boilermakers did a wonderful job
rallying to win the Challenge in support of the Smith BReaK Thru Fund.
We're proud to make a donation to such a deserving organization."

The FCA Foundation announced a US$ 100,000 grant to support
scholarships for current and future African American farmers. The
National Black Farmers Association Scholarship program will provide
scholarships up to US$ 5,000 to fund agriculture-related study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.

"We
should accept nothing less than a world in which everyone has access to
a safe, healthy and sufficient food supply," said Jody Trapasso, Senior
Vice President - External Affairs, FCA North America and President of
the FCA Foundation. "Our hope is that these scholarships provide farmers
with the inspiration and knowledge to help this vision become a
reality."

"The National Black Farmers Association
Scholarship program is a huge step in the right direction for the
survival of America's black farmers," said John Boyd, Jr., President of
the National Black Farmers Association. "Educating black farmers
provides an opportunity to increase and advance agricultural technology,
which will be passed on as a vital part of our rich farming legacy to
future generations. Scholarships to black farm families for agricultural
programs of study will increase the number of young black farmers."

One
hundred applications will be accepted. The application site will close

Ford Motor Company, through its Warriors in Pink campaign, launched
The Good Day Project - a powerful call to action to bring more good days
to those living with breast cancer.

For more than two decades, Ford Warriors in Pink has been committed to the fight and continues to
inspire women to be proactive about their breast health. The Good Day
Project takes the program a step further - encouraging people to step up
and help those who are battling the disease.

"Most
breast cancer patients characterize their days by 'good days' and 'bad
days'," said Tracy Magee, Ford Warriors in Pink Brand Manager. "While
many people want to help, most are unsure of the best way to show their
support. We want to change this."

"Warriors in Pink is
about driving awareness, and about motivating people to help in the
battle against breast cancer," added Magee. "With The Good Day Project,
we hope to empower people to take real action and help provide more good
days to those living with the disease."

At the heart
of the project are partnerships with Meal Train and Lyft to provide
support services and resources that benefit those dealing with breast
cancer and help make their day-to-day life easier.

The
nationwide partnership with Meal Train - an online platform for
organizing family and friends to bring meals to loved ones fighting
breast cancer – allows users to gain free access to the premium service
Meal Train Plus. The service not only helps organize meal deliveries,
but other household needs such as errand services and childcare.

"We
are thrilled to be joining forces with Ford Warriors in Pink to
simplify the giving process," said Michael Laramee, co-Founder, Meal
Train. "Our goal is to give users practical solutions that help provide
the services they need on the days that are most helpful. Through this
partnership, we hope to inspire more people to join the fight and grant
small acts of kindness that lessen the burden for those living with the
disease."

Alongside the support services made available
through Meal Train, Warriors in Pink will work with Lyft to offer rides
to and from appointments for select patients undergoing treatment. The
ride-sharing service will be made available starting in June, and will
roll out across 17 cities through select treatment centers.

"Reliable
transportation to and from treatment is a common challenge for
patients," said Kira Wampler, Chief Marketing Officer, Lyft. "We are
honored to be partnering with Ford Warriors in Pink to bring a
dependable option to the many women seeking treatment this year."

"Together
with Ford and Meal Train, we'll help bring awareness to the small
things people can do to support women fighting this disease," added
Wampler. "In the coming days, we'll share details on how to donate a
free Lyft ride to a patient in need - simply by showing your support."

Recognizing the many challenges college-bound students face, Toyota
awarded tuition support to 22 Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA)
students from the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
(STEM) disciplines to help with their cost of higher education.

In
partnership with the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship
Fund (APIASF), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing college
scholarships to APIAs, Toyota granted 22 scholarships at its fourth
annual awards dinner and reception at the Toyota Automotive Museum.

With
majors ranging from aerospace engineering to microbiology, and school
selections from the University of California, Irvine to Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, scholarship recipients received US$ 5,000
towards a degree in a STEM field for their first two years of college.
The students, whose heritages trace to five countries in the API region
(including Vietnam, China, Philippines, India and Korea), were also
recognized for their achievements by local Los Angeles government
officials in attendance.

"This scholarship will play
such a large part in helping me get one step closer to becoming a
successful mechanical engineer," said scholarship recipient Pamela
Nguyen from North Torrance High School. "I hope to influence my
community for the better through my future creations." Pamela plans to
study Mechanical Engineering at California State University Long Beach.

"The
scholarship recipients were selected from a pool of nearly 9,000
applicants," said Tracey Doi, Toyota Group Vice-President and Chief
Financial Officer. "Toyota is proud to recognize and celebrate the
outstanding academic achievements of the 22 APIASF scholars. The
commitment to community service and personal excellence of these future
leaders is truly inspiring and we are excited to be a part of their
journey."

Toyota executives Karen Ideno, Doug Murtha,
Julia Wada, and millennial Toyota team members Shawn Kumar and Kelsey Yu
participated in a panel discussion on the topic - 'What has inspired
you in your personal and professional development?' As both seasoned
Toyota leaders and Generation Y TAASiA members, the panel provided
unique insight and guidance on how scholars can successfully transition
into the professional work arena.

In addition to
Toyota's corporate contribution, the Toyota Giving Circles, a program
that allows team members to donate to their chosen charity, TAAP (Toyota
Asian American powered by associates) and NFTA (Network of Filipino
Toyota Associates) subsidized two of the scholarships in partnership
with Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy.

As communities grow and develop, traffic grows and develops in turn,
thereby increasing the hazards and risks involved when pedestrians and
automobiles interact. Toyota believes that proper traffic safety
education is vital in avoiding injuries stemming from such accidents, and that such education should begin at an early age.

"Next
year, in spring, a whole new generation of first-year elementary school
students will begin walking to school. Our hope is that each student
can safely walk to school with their parents confident that they will
arrive without mishap. For over 40 years, Toyota has conducted this
program as part of its social contribution regime aimed at enriching
lives around the world," said President Akio Toyoda.

Since
1975, Toyota has held the annual Toyota Safety School event to teach
fundamental traffic rules - such as proper pedestrian crossing etiquette
- to children at kindergartens, nursery schools, and company day-care
centers in and around Toyota City. This year will be Toyota's 41st year
holding this event.

Toyota will offer its annual Toyota
Safety School events to children in two locations in Japan. One
location will be the Toyota Kaikan Exhibition Hall, where events will be
held from mid-May to mid-July. The other location will be the Toyota
Safety Education Center 'mobilitas' which makes its home at Fuji
Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture, with instances held first in May and
then October.

The program has been conducted at 3,541
kindergartens and nursery schools since its inception and it has been
attended by 252,997 kindergarten and nursery school children, as well as
14,544 of their guardians, thus becoming an intrinsic community
activity.

Toyota believes that creating a society free
of traffic casualties requires an integrated approach encompassing the
development of ever-safer cars and technology, improvement of the
traffic environment, and traffic safety education. For this reason,
commitment to traffic safety has been reaffirmed year after year as a
top priority and this traffic safety school is one of many efforts
toward that end.
