The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) is conducting two Application Writing Workshops for its Tax Credit Program. The program grants state tax credits to nonprofit entities for affordable housing, economic development, and community development projects that benefit low- and moderate-income New Hampshire citizens. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to attend a workshop. CDFA will award up to $6 million in state tax credits this July.

Potential applicants should attend one of the following workshops:  

• Wednesday, February 1, 2012, Meredith, NH, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Church Landing, and
  
• Thursday, February 9, 2012, Concord, NH, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., NH Audubon Society

The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) will be conducting an Application Writing Workshop for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing and Public Facilities (HS & PF) and Economic Development programs.  The workshop will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2011, from 9:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the Local Government Center in Concord, NH.

All applications for the first round (of two) of 2012 funding for the CDBG Housing and Public Facilities grants must be received by CDFA through its online grants management system by midnight on Monday, January 30, 2012 [pending change]. Approximately, $2.0 Million funding will be available in this funding round. CDBG economic development applications are accepted year round until all funds are expended. Approximately $4 Million in CDBG economic development funds will be available.

The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program will be accepting applications for the second round of Planning Grant Applications.  There are two competitive application rounds each year, one in April and one in October. 

All applications for the second round must be received by the Community Development Finance Authority through its online grants management system no later than 5:00 P.M. on October 31, 2011. 

There is a total of $76,000 available for second round awards, with a $12,000 award limit per project. Planning Grants are awarded to determine whether a particular project is feasible for a potential CDBG implementation grant.  All proposals when submitted, must document the minimum 51% benefit to low- and moderate-income persons or households. Water and sewer projects must document a known threat to health and safety.
