La journée commence bien, il fait beau et je suis content

En pleine forme, plein d’envie et juste ce qu’il faut d’insouciance
Je commence à me la raconter, j’ai plein de potes et je me sens fort
Je garde un peu de temps pour les meufs quand je suis pas en train de faire du sport
Emploi du temps bien rempli, et je suis à la bourre pour mes rencards
Putain la vie passe trop vite, il est déjà 11 heures moins le quart

Celui qui veut me viser, je lui conseille de changer de cible
Me toucher est impossible, à 11 heures je me sens invincible
Il fait chaud, tout me sourit, il manquait plus que je sois amoureux
C’est arrivé sans prévenir sur les coups d’11 heures moins 2
Mais tout à coup, alors que dans le ciel, y’avait pas un seul nuage
A éclaté au-dessus de moi un intolérable orage

Pour le moins inattendu alors je tourne mais j’ai la rage

A 11 heures 20 je dois faire preuve d’une bonne dose d’adaptation
Je passe beaucoup moins de temps à me balader rue de la Rép’
Et j’apprends à remplir les papiers de la Cotorep
J’ai pas que des séquelles physiques, je vais pas faire le tho-my
Mais y’a des cicatrices plus profondes qu’une trachéotomie
J’ai eu de la chance je suis pas passé très loin de l’échec et mat
Mais j’avoue que j’ai encore souvent la nostalgie de 10 heures du mat’

A midi moins le quart, j’ai pris mon stylo bleu foncé
J’ai compris que lui et ma béquille pouvaient m’aider avancer
J’ai posé des mots sur tout ce que j’avais dans le bide

Alors je vais profiter de tous les moments qui me séparent de la chute
Je vais croquer dans chaque instant, je ne dois pas perdre une minute
Il me reste tellement de choses à faire que j’en ai presque le vertige
Je voudrais être encore un enfant mais j’ai déjà 28 pijes
Alors je vais faire ce qu’il faut pour que mes espoirs ne restent pas vains
D’ailleurs je vous laisse, là c’est chaud, il est déjà midi 20.

Micmacs à tire-larigot (in English, Micmacs) is coming to Broadway Cinema from Friday 26th February until Thursday 18th March.

Described by Broadway as “a film so inventive, visually distinctive and utterly charming that it could only have come from Jean-Pierre Jeunet, director of Delicatessen and Amélie. It’s a thrilling comedy centred around a group of misfits who plan to bring down two big arms manufacturers. Jeunet continues to be endlessly inventive in his story telling and Micmacs is a perfect balance of visual feast, edge-of-the-seat plot and witty wordplay.”

Toondoo is a website that allows you to create comic strips – perfect for enhancing the dialogue you’ve been asked to write for homework (and perhaps making the task a little more fun too)!

You can also create ToonBooks which are comic strips laid out in a similar format to that of Storybird.

Here’s Mr Picardo’s quick attempt at creating a cartoon in under 2 minutes.

Below are some of the Vokis that the boys produced while being filmed for a forthcoming programme which will be aired in the Summer Term on Teachers TV. Why not leave your comment on the side? What have they done well? Do you have any advice on how to write speak and write more complex Spanish?

“Castile and León is the cradle of the Spanish language, and also a living museum of Spanish culture which accommodates over half of Spain’s historical-artistic heritage. Castile and León is also a student region, with two of the oldest Universities in Europe, Salamanca and Valladolid. Furthermore, the region has historically specialized in the research of the Spanish language and teaching it to foreign students.

Especially in those two cities, but also in Avila, Burgos or Soria, schools that teach Spanish are dedicated to teaching the language in the most efficient and intensive way, but also, and most importantly, to offer students a comprehensive experience with lots of cultural and leisure activities, so students won’t have to wonder what to do to make the most of their stay.

We want British students and teachers to know more about us, and that’s why we’re going to be in Nottingham on February 22nd alongside some of the most prominent schools in the teaching of Spanish to foreign students. You’ll learn more about Castile and León: our geography, history, economy, tourism, customs and traditions, gastronomy and wines, cultural routes…

But no, we don’t want to make this a simple classroom presentation… We’ve prepared a little party for you to taste some of our most exquisite gastronomic products: Iberian ham, chorizo and lomo, cheese from Zamora, Spanish omelette, and wines (red, rosé and white), which are such an important part of our popular culture. You’ll be able to chat with the people in charge of Spanish schools and ask them anything you might want to know about our Spanish courses.”

There will be a raffle at the event (to participate you need to sign up beforehand with Mrs Moorhouse) the prize for which is a two-week intensive course in Spain including full board accommodation.

The Edukators (in German, Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei) is showing on Thursday 11th February at 7.45pm.  It is described by the Los Angeles Times as “a sweet, funny and gripping romantic adventure, it’s about the limitations of political activism in this day and age, and what happens when your girlfriend and your best friend fall in love.”

In the Dust of the Stars (in German, Im Staub der Sterne) is showing on Friday 12th Feburary at 10.30pm.  Broadway describes this film as “an East German spacemen-and- Socialism gem replete with space age costumes, liberal social mores, and a socialist utopian undercurrent.”

The Lives of Others (in German, Das Leben der Anderen) is showing in half term on Monday 15th February at 5.30pm.  Winner of the 2007 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Broadway describes this film as “a gripping political Communist-era thriller and human drama.”
