Have you ever felt this way? No matter which way you turn everything just gets to you and you completely strip at the most inappropriate time. Sadly, all too often the wrong people get the short end of the stick, like those closest to you, your spouse, partner, friend or even your children. Everyone of us experiences anger in varying degrees, however, some people have more difficulty controlling the way they vent their anger.

Consider the following scenario:

You are driving to work in the morning and a taxi driver turns left in front of you from the right hand lane. How do you react?

Years ago, a colleague pushed me to the edge of my limits and I saw red! What did he do? I cannot even tell you, all I know is that he pushed me so far that all reason vanished. I had no way of controlling my anger. This is not something that happens to me too often, but I know that there can be times when we are no longer in control of a situation and we react in some way. Managing anger is learning how to recognise the triggers and controlling them even before we spiral out of control.

If you need to learn how to control your anger, the Anger Management course is a must for you.

Anger Management Workshop
Start Time: March 28, 2011, 8:30 am End Time: March 28, 2011, 4:00 pm
Anger can be an incredibly damaging force, costing people their jobs, personal relationships, and even their lives when it gets out of hand. However, since everyone experiences anger, it is important to have constructive approaches to manage it effectively.

I can’t wait for the Social Media course I am attending next week to help improve my social media marketing. I have already attended a course some time ago, but wasn’t quite ready to launch. This course is being run by WSI, who developed my website and Astrid Fenton has given incredible service getting traffic to my site and bringing in business. Having a website and being a networker have been the best two business decisions I have made. I am looking forward to getting my teeth into Social Media – the marketing for now and into the future!

I love to dream – to imagine myself on a magnificent cruise liner, relaxing and enjoying the sunshine, activities and much laughter. It is a dream that I’ve dreamed over and over again, but that was all it was – a dream. Until I realized that it did not need to be only a dream, it could be a reality. I needed to change my dream into a goal, but how?

Write down your goal. Goals are more likely to be achieved if they are written down. We have all heard of SMART goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant/Realistic and Time-bound. Take this a step further and remember the 3 P’s – Personal, Positive and Possible.

Visualize – the power to see yourself achieving your goal long before you do in reality is an incredibly motivating tool. When you speak to winning athletes – they run their races in their mind long before they do it on the track or road. So create a vision board and put it up where you see it often and begin to see it in the mind.

Affirmation – affirm yourself and believe in yourself. Battles are usually won and lost in the mind. How often don’t you hear people saying “I could never do that” and they are right, because they don’t believe they can, they can’t. Those who believe they can, can! I have realized we were all created equal – no one is more or less superior to anyone else. If we change what we say – our self-talk – we will change the way we think about ourselves.

Take Action – break the goals down into bite-sized steps that you can do on a daily basis. Recently a business colleague asked me about my DDA – Daily Deliberate Action! Wow, that was a wake up call. A deliberate action that I carry out each day in order to achieve my goals. Your DDA should be highest on your priority list and should take you in the direction of your goal. It may simply be a telephone call, an email or a letter that you need to make or write. Whatever it is prioritize it according to how important it is to you.

I no longer just dream of that cruise liner, I have made it a goal! I have a vision board on my cupboard that I see every day. I see myself cruising the Norwegian Fjords and the Arctic Circle – seeing the land of the midnight sun and taking in the awesomeness, the beauty of one of the many breathtaking sights that God has created.
