DO YOU LOVE VINTAGE CHILDREN BOOK ILLUSTRATIONS?

You know I adore vintage children illustrations,,,,,,and I have just discover the one by Agnes Richardson, so cute, so bright colors,,,so adorable ones,,,,so I asked to some DT members to work with my new "Incredible Agnes Richardson" CS. First of all here is the amazing work by Florence,,,,,,,with these stunning and Colorful Cards,,,I am falling in love with the use of her incredible die cuts and the way she used my picts.

I have been working with this new sheet (see below) over the weekend. I got completely carried away. I think in total I made about 10 cards!! This sheet is being released today…Yey!I am going to have to split the cards I have made and put them onto different posts but here are a few of them. Please click on the images to enlarge to see all of the detail. If anyone has any questions about how I made any of these card please give me a shout.

Isn’t she just adorable!! I love every image on this sheet but I think this one is my favourite because it reminds me of vintage toys and because of the colours…..Mmmmm yummy!

Printed onto white mat cardstock

One of the first things I thought when I started to prep these cards was “pretty”. So I tried to use pretty dies and pretty papers to go with. Oooops…I had better show you the image sheet I am working off…..drum roll… here it is These images are perfect for cards for children or ladies of any age

This is the first time I have ever printed onto pearlescent cardstock….omg it goes through my printer like a dream. On this card stock the image is so soft and has a bit of a shimmer to it, so I wanted to go with pretty pastel shades. Ok, using the same image as above and for the last card for today

For this one, again I have taken colours from the image to match it to pretty paper that I have. These style of dies, used in garden themed cards, always make me think of white ornate iron garden furniture.

Lori also was working with these absolutely sweet picts and she did this exquisite creation working with this sheet,,,,,I love the colors she used and the funny and quote,,,,,,

Fairy Circle

Ever so often we get a cute little fairy ring of mushrooms growing in the yard. It's only happened in the last few years, so I guess we've had some fairies move in!

This cute fairy circle image is from Nicecrane Designs. It's just soooo sweet, that I couldn't wait to put it on a card! I am probably going to use EVERY image in this set! They are ADORABLE!! What do you think?

Just as well … the Out of a Hat Creations Challenge for this week is to make a Tag Book, which fitted in very nicely with some new digi stamps I got earlier this week. The digi stamp set is called Butterfly Babies Book and it is by Nicecrane Designs …

This is what it looks like from the outside. The backgrounds to all the pages are hand stamped by me, but you could equally well use some pretty papers. The butterfly digi stamps were already pre-coloured and absolutely beautiful. See for yourself …

Well I couldn’t stop here … as it would make a nice keep sake present, a box was required. To decorate the box lid I used another digi stamp from the Vintage Library Cards set, again by Nicecrane Designs. This one wasn’t pre-coloured, but very easy to colour in … here it is …

I just added the sentiment at the bottom, the Medaillon image, the gems and the ribbon … plus a little bit of corner punching and some paper ribbon on the sides, which you can’t see on the picture.

I quite like those Library Cards, apart from using them inside a book, they would make nice gift cards even for Kindle editions, they can be used for journaling … hmmm … Well I won’t say too much, because I got another project in mind. Stay tuned …

I used a catdigi from the Roly Poly Pudding sheet, such lovely cat stamps, they took my heart when I saw them. Love those stamps, they remind me of a cat I had (she crossed the rainbow bridge several years ago).

I used My Minds Eye papers, a photoframe I found at a local store. The digi reminds me of my two loved ones I currently have and they always make home so very special.

VINTAGE EMBOSSED BAG CARD

Kristin from my Dt created a vintage embossed bag with chip board from Wycinanka sc and design woring with "Muse of Poets CS" ....Wowwww Kristin I love the vintage effect, and these stunning die cuts my friend, you are really talented,,,,,,,,and....can I say about the incredible flower???.....LOVE IT.

The design is printed on regular copy paper in my inkjet printer. The gorgeous frame around the image is from Wycinanka sc I have given it a soft beige color with Prima stamp pad.

The brown plastic decorations in the upper corner are self made.

The same plastic decorations I've also below the picture at the bottom. It is made using Ranger's Melt Art Texture Treads. This is a kind of silicone form / template, which I've used to create pattern in melted UTEE with.

Along some of the edges I stamped with kaffesølstemplet I have designed.These are sold at Creative Craft.

Well A few days ago,,,,,I show you my adorable " Vintage Shaped Library Card" product,,,,and I asked to some DT members to use it on their favorite Books,,,,so you can take an idea about how is working this sweet and great product. Take a look to all the LIBRARY CARDS BY MY TEAM:

Here is the one by Catherine,,,,,I really love how she colored my card and waht a fantastic book is reading her. I have coloured a Vintage Shaped Library Card fromNicecrane Designs. I love reading and I visit my local library regularly. The book I am reading right now is "Labyrinth" from Kate Mosse. The library card will remind me when I have to return the book and I can use it as a bookmark too !

Over at Nicecrane Desings you can find some lovely Library cards, just take a look at the lot. So usefull to keep track on who is currently reading your book. Some lovely vintage ones with cute children.

I was asked by Ignacio from Nicecrane designs to take a picture with one of the Library cards with my favourite book. I have several books I love, but JRR Tolkien - Lord of the Rings Thrilogy are my most favourite. So I took a picture of that book with a library card. The cards can be shaped in any size and are also usefull as bookmark. Of course, I added some cat stuff on the card, I took a little cat paw stamp and Versamark and made some cat footsteps on the card.

Of course you can' t forget my own Libray Card,,,, I am posting again,,,,becuase lot of you hadn`t received this amazing use palacing it over "A Game of Thrones" Book,,,,wow,woww

I must say I always struggle a bit when I have to make something for a man but now thanks to Nicecrane Designs I have found the right images for any male project ! Okay, did you know...that Kewpies have to have wings or they are NOT Kewpies? I learned that on Antiques Road Show. Kewpies were first seen in drawings by Rose O'Neil for Ladies' Home Journal in 1909 - the same year my house was built! I need a Kewpie doll to put on the shelf...

For now, this Kewpie will have to do. I've combined a couple of Kewpie sets from Nicecrane Designs to create my project. LOVE the sentiment:

Dear Friend Card

Kristin was working with my " F. Brundage Babies CS" This card is designed for the creative on scrapping.no, it can also be seen here.

Marianne Design has lots of different dies to suit different styles and projects.I've fallen head over heels for the new vintage embossed Dies. I've created a card with the gorgeous fan-diesen LR0264. In addition, I used the gorgeous stand to make a holder for card rack has No. LR0266. The design of the card is from Nice Crane.

Here is the card from the side, so that it is easier to see how gorgeous rack works.

Here is the stand without it. It consists of two layers, making sure you have plenty of opportunities to vary the style and colors. If you wish, you can also use layers separately.

The fan is cut in two different colors and glued on top of each other. The top layer is blackened and distressed to give it some extra power. Mid-fan, I glued punched text.

The design is printed out, cut out and glued with 3D Gluedots.

I've decorated with flowers from Prima and Short and Happy.

Wenche also was working with adorable Sheet "Well, a little Christmas spirit tolerated in June also, at least if you are like Christmas happy as I am. Took care of papphylstrene from Firecrackers on icing from May 17th. And has made bonbons ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree for example, or as decorations on Christmas presents;"
