It's been a fair bit since I last posted I realize. 17 days ago, to be precise.

It is very difficult to motivate yourself to do up a post that needs many (many, many, many) pictures when the destination makes the process excruciatingly difficult and troublesome.

Fuck you, whoever implemented Blogger's photo uploader.

Throw in Trainz 10, Wildfire 4, Burn Notice 3, Top Gear 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14 and Audition 3 and you'll almost certainly not be doing that post at all simple because it requires so much fucking time and energy. All thanks to one [insert harsh derogatory adjective] Google employee.

So no, I will not be posting any pictures tonight although I will be sifting, editing and resizing said photos because Microsoft Office automates much of the task for me.

The computer was invented to simplify life. If I still have to manually scroll through and resize the hundreds of pictures I upload then something you're doing is fucking wrong. Deal with it.

Now that it's clear this post won't have pictures, let's have words.

IN THE NEWS;

Mr Chua is back! Although he will still not be my maths teacher.

Mr Chng's hair-loss condition seems to be deteriorating. It has also been inferred of late that he is completely unable to grasp the concept of straight line.

Mr "Gay" Leong is actually quite a nice and reasonable guy, according to someone who has had close and personal encounter with him. After you get past his condescending and malevolent facade, of course. Currently, there's no apparent reason why one should dislike him.

The school's website had been upgraded. Or downgraded, rather. With the implementation of Flash on the homepage, it now takes about 7 years to load when you most need it, and doesn't load at all when you need the timetable on your iPhone/iPod in a jiffy. The rest of the site of course, still use the same insipid, unsophisticated design.

Nicholas has officially gotten on with life, according to Gerald and Godfrey. This is mainly attributed to the return of Trainz, Top Gear and a yellow duck.

Nicholas has lost his phone, according to himself. Subsequently, this leads to the loss of all his contacts, his Wireless@SG password and latitude and longtitude of the Milky Way's center of gravity.

The school has recently discovered there is actually a downside to principal speeches; ten minutes, or almost a quarter, of the first lesson is lost. This is exacerbated by the fact that some principals are unable to string together any more than 5 words into a comprehensible sentence, and is mostly caused by Caucasian visitors to the school. Please, now that Mr Chua is back, somebody bring Mdm Cecilia Lim back as well.

That brings us to the end of the news and uh, nothing much else really.

But since this is a weekend, it'll mean I'll have lots of time. Which means after I'm through with Trainz, I'll finally upload long overdue pictures of my March holidays.

As stated before, there is a certain breed of human that is not quite human in its train of thought. This species' sole purpose of existence, or so it seems, is to make miserable the lives of all around it.

Baleful, malevolent, the scab of a deformed living organism.

When you have two of the following options to choose from - to leave it and move on or to antagonize it and cause purgatory - and pick the latter, you're obviously on who either has too much time on your hands or just plain sadist.

When much of your hair has thinned and whitened and there's not very much of it left, the latter isn't a very wise choice either. Which is when you decide to get smart and go the way of proxy wars. You, one who cannot shout without making an oaf of yourself, get someone who also suffers from the same drawback but does not mind.

A gentle reminder though, shouting isn't always the way to solve an issue, and it definitely doesn't make you a shining example for everyone else in school though they appreciate the small laugh at your (or his) expense.

Enough with you. Now with me.
I took the lift, because Eunice happened to step out of it on the 6th floor. If "what goes up must come down", then it wouldn't harm anyone to hitch a ride.
Not that it wasn't wrong, it was.
But you had your fun anyway. Oh yes, you must have been beaming with delight after ordering all five to descend to 1st and ascend to 6th after a brief show-and-tell of the lift schedule. In the process you wasted about 5 minutes of your time, my time and Jason & Co's time.

It's none of my business what you intended to do with that time, but I had places to go and things to attend to in a hurry. To get A3 paper from a Mr Chia on-MC, and to a a thrice-delayed appointment within the hour. This is not very simple when I do not own a car (or a Vespa). You've dished out your punishment, fair enough. Now just fucking leave it.

An essay for taking the elevator 10 minutes early? You might as well try issuing demerit points and monetary fines. If it's an essay you want, eat this. I'm not interested in any of your games and I pity those under your charge.

Taking into account your past record of egoistical behavior, the next two factors will come into play; your age and your seniority. Splendid and remarkable.

Hold on. I forgot, you're not the only one around with age and seniority.

I love Mdm Cheng (and she loves me too), Mr Wong, Mrs Wong, Mr Ho and Mr Chua.
Not counting seniority and/or age, I could list thirty more.

Look here you old sanctimonious bitch. Respect works both ways. I don't randomly pick fights with people like those of your breed do. You're proud, smug and self-satisfied and in my books that doesn't qualify you as one to make friends with.

Highly corrosive and stings any open wound.
Since you chose to dip your finger in it, you have to bear with the pain.

Think of "fucked-up" teachers and a few types immediately come to mind.

There are those with fucked up faces.
There are those with fucked up tempers.
There are those fucking sadistic ones.

And of course, there are those who are all of the above.

The most fucked up ones are easy to spot. Highlighted prominently, most are either balding, growing old, are widowed and/or divorced.

What is "fucked up" then?

The following are not, some of which I actually appreciate or find comical:
- Trying to blend into the 25th Century.
- Trying to find a sense of humor.
- Trying to find some sarcasm.
- Giving much [difficult] homework.
- Giving much [difficult] tests.

Off the top of my head, "fucked up" is simply those who do things or set rules that serve no logical and/or earthly purpose just to piss people off.

Here's a nice combo:
No staying in class during recess, no cellphones and non-transferable class key.

If I don't want to have recess or borrow books, then I'm not going to the canteen or library (duh). If some think they study better with music, good for them. If they fail anyway, good for the rest of us. If the door-opener takes ten minutes to return to class after RP, letting one with bigger steps have the key will not hurt anybody.

On the old journal I once wrote that authorities, more often than not, take forever to come to a decision. When they actually do, they make all the wrong and stupid ones.

Burn Notice seasons 1, 2 and half of 3 has turned out to be highly enjoyable but intensively time consuming.
Until I reinstalled the Sims 3.

With Riverview expansion.

With High-End Loft Stuff Expansion.

Which meant that this post, among other things such as hamster food and html work for someone has been put on hold. In fact, the only reason I stopped playing just now was because Burn Notice craving took over again.

Definitely not a good fucking way to be spending Common Test week.

I'm suffering from Trainz-withdrawal.

TS2010 won't play nice with Windows 7, which is fucking bad news because I haven't had a dose of railroading in a long time. It fares well in XP x64 however. Why it works in an OS from three generations ago and not on the current one I don't know and I don't fucking care. I'm not rolling back to XP unless someone gets me a Macbook Pro.

Going back to XP after experiencing Win 7 is almost bordering on absurd.

Anyway.

I'm still sore that a Lumix has adjustable shutter speed while my Z450 is automated only. This despite the fact that mine wins hands down when it comes to stabilization, speed and image quality. Nonetheless, it does the job.

As usual, only the best of all 293 photos and videos. Not like you pay close attention to any of them anyway.
Drop a tag if you want a particular full-size (some of the fireworks are really pretty).

After 2 hours doing this entry, I conclude that the moron who wrote the Blogger photo uploader is - in Jeremy Clarkson's own words - utterly utterly stupid.

Motivational talks are a little like Top Gear. Rigged, setup, but gets the point across in a humorous and effective manner. It's difficult not to doubt; is the mind really that powerful? There's a reason why only the same few people keep being used as examples in such programs; if everyone could achieve miracles - then where's the fucking miracle?

Nevertheless, it's worth a try.

I might say, I want to do a slam dunk some day.

Or I want a Mercedes Benz S-Class with a Lorinser bodykit.

That aside you might be interested with where my life's been going since the last post on Jun 2, 2009. For one, Coal County's stopped because Trainz won't play nice with Windows 7. But that's not so bad with Far Cry 2, Dirt 2, Left For Dead 2 and Modern Warfare 2 around.
