In fact this morning at bible study rem was unusually fussy, clingy, and whinny but when we got home he slept almost four hours! I was so worried about him being unlike himself I made an appointment to see his dr this afternoon. Turns out it was just his two teeth coming in, it really through him through a loop though.  He was even signing ‘hurt’ for the first time today. I guess two teeth at once can be a killer. They are just poking through so I’m hoping the worst is over, I suppose only time will tell.

Rem insisted that I put him in his high chair (for his snack) facing his friend so he could watch him the whole time while he was eating. It’s amazing how much they can communicate with just a couple words and a whole lot of emotion.

Once rem got tired of coloring he played right next to his little friend.

They obviously have a similar sense of humor, rem was belly laughing in these photos.

Warning: the above photos are incredibly deceiving.  Not only was he only smiling for these few photos at the END OF THE TRIP, he was extremely unhappy for most of the drive.  The weirdest part was he is the best car baby. This really is the first time he hasn’t slept the entire way/ or almost the entire way to NC.  I’m feeling too tired to get into it but let me just say I will never again travel without an excess amount of snacks and milk for this guy, just in case.

Remember how little my guy was last year on valentines day?

Look at this big boy coloring and eating at his own table. (We haven’t outgrown the high chair and although it was fun it was very nice to put him in his chair after about 2 minutes of eating at his table. No, he does not understand the fact that you should touch your food and not the plate. Needless to say we had a lot of puffs and bananas to clean off the floor)

I actually find myself just wanting to sit on the couch and read, or just sit and enjoy the quiet while he is napping rather than blog. Now I am still making my yearly “My Publisher” books but find I am skipping more and more on the blog. I guess I’m ok with that, as long as it’s for a good cause

I started a new book, has anyone read it?

It’s called “A shepherds look at psalm 23″ I’m really enjoying it.

And since I know I will forget, rem has learend a few more signs AND words:

how could I forget LIGHT! (basically he does that one all day long, at any and every light)

This was the first time Rem got to drive these little cars at his friends house, he loved it!

These little guys are fun to watch play, I think rem was trying to give him a ride.

At Wegmans this past weekend we tried out this new ‘car cart’. He was very impressed with the two steering wheels, in fact it kept him pretty entertained the entire shopping trip.

We had our dear friends over for a fun family game night on Saturday, rem and their daughter love playing together.

They bought him his first train, we are exctied to have a new type of toy to play with and expand from.

I didn’t get a good photo of his train so i grabbed this one from the target website, it’s name is “Scoot and Toot’, cute huh?

Although he was very excited about the bag it came in I was suprised how much he liked scooting around his new train.

We found that this ottoman works perfect to play with his trains.

I found this post from superbowl weekend last year. What a peanut!

We had a very laid back SuperBowl Sunday, with him being sick we just wanted to stick around here and relax and nap, which we did.

Now for full disclosure I do have to say that he normally is not this snugly. I think he was distracted by the football game, and this little cold he just can’t seem to beat. Speaking of colds this has a been a hard winter for our family, for Remington in particular. He seems to catch everything and have a hard time fighting it off. Our Dr. said its normal for these little ones to get a lot of colds their first year, it’s just hard to seem them go through it.  Thankfully we had him checked out today and his lungs and ears are clear, just needs to fight off the rest of this cold.

We are going on dates every other week, which is wonderful! Although some nights I’m pretty tired and getting into my pjs sounds super nice I am so thankful we have this time set aside for just the two of us.

Last time we had dessert at red robin, well desert and french fries, yummy.

Have you heard of this game? We bought the travel version and it was surprisingly great for conversation starters. Things you wouldn’t think to talk about. Like “what is one of your favorite high school memories?” or more serious ones “what do you believe is your purpose in life” or so many other topics which is fun.

My aunt came to visit this past weekend, we met her in dc for dinner. We went to one of our favorite pizzerias in George Town.

We met my Aunt at her hotel and walked a few blocks to the restaurant.  It was  a little chilly so rem was nice and bundled up, he didn’t mind one bit.
