Tuesday Toddler!

2014-06-03T17:47:00.001-04:00

One of my new features I'm adding to my blog is called Tuesday toddler! Kinda has a ring to it since Peyton is now an active toddler. It's so crazy how time flies and I know a lot of parents say that, but no seriously!

Here she is eating away, always smilin! Hence the food on her mouth. Lol

She's always everywhere! Right now she's walking across the couch back and forth eating candy I just gave her, an activity that freaks me out, the walking across the couch part but she safe and who am I kidding, she's in that indepence stage.

Here she is with her dada. Her activity level is out of this world even though she is a pretty chill baby. Odd comparison I know. Despite all this she is an easy baby. With me being a working mom, it can get hard sometimes, but being a parent and seeing her new experiences everyday out weighs the tiredness.

We try to take her to a park at every chance she gets so that she can explore and see the world through her little eyes.

At first, we were that kind of couple who never planned on having kids, but when we decided, we got this beautiful amazing little girl and I'm so glad we tried. It took us about two years of trying, but it was worth it!

Anywho, this was just an intro to my amazing little 19 month old! And I'll bring you more about here on next weeks Tuesday toddler! Also check out my YouTube that will correspond with this. A new video will be up Tuesday!

Totes and tots!

2014-05-26T02:12:00.001-04:00

I use to despise tote bags.

A little harsh I know. But I use to think they looked like carrying grocery store bags. Lol but ever since I had a child, comfort seems more ideal to me. So therefore, I am on the hunt for the cutest tote bag. Believe it or not, I think they are really really cute now.

My absolute fave is this one:

20.99 The Organizing Store

Now I'll be honest, I'm not the happiest of people, we'll I am, but usually I wouldn't carry "horray" around on my arm, it's like an invitation for people to talk to me. Harsh again, but if you're from the south born and raised like I am, that's an open invitation for "oh geeze! Enough talking!"

You'd have to live in the south to understand. I promise. That's why I always say I could live up north. Lol

Here's some others I like.

Of course I love anything Paris related.

I plan to order the first one. I first saw it on Noami from Rockstar Diaries. Of course she made it look adorable as usual! As well as anything she puts on! If you haven't been to her blog, then you live under a rock. :)

As far as the tots in the title.....it sounded cute and I've got a cute tot, so. Summarize, I'm not giving up my handbags, just into to totes. Now for some cuteness. She had no clue this was on her head.

Enjoy your Memorial Day and stay geeky!

A little summer structure!

2014-05-26T01:20:00.001-04:00

Hello!

Yeah as the title says, a little structure is needed and not just for summer! For years, my blog has been about whatever I want and that will continue, but it needs a little spice of something. So I've decided to talk more about certain subjects like mommy hood, diy projects, more to what's going on in my life. Let's face it, I'm a working mom, so I need more fuel and more time to try all these Pinterest saves, so you'll see it all here plus more vids on my YouTube channel. Anywho......it's past spring, but a little cleaning is in order. Actually, I think it might still be spring, I don't know. I can't even remember what day it is half the time. Shame.

It's 1am, so I'll go ahead and say Happy Memoral Day!

My top 5 ways I wear my hair for the summer!

2014-03-13T00:33:00.001-04:00

Milkmaid braid

This is a major fave of mind all year around, but especially cooling in the summer.

The side braid should be a staple for anyone if you know how to do it and especially a fishtail braid!

Messy should always be an option and in beach waves.

My hair is always in my face partly cause I want it to be, but here's how to keep it out.

Side ponytail and high ponytails are so easy to do! Especially if you're a mom who's always in an hurry!

Lastly one for exta credit, a top knot. The messier the better! I just really figured a way to do this properly so it's a huge fave now! That was like 7, but you get my drift! If you want tutorials on how I do it, let me know!

Summer time

2014-03-13T00:13:00.001-04:00

That thought is really scary!

Why you ask? Cause summer is panic time for me.

I never know what to wear, it's too hot and above all sucky. This year I'm looking forward to it cause I'm taking the princess to disney world for the first time!! I can't wait to see her face!

I know she's only one but I think she'll remember a lot.....here's hoping anyway. Either way we will go again.

But, that's not the purpose of this, the purpose is trying to help me figure out summer clothes. Ahead of time!!!

Here's what I do like:

These are all from forever 21. I like things I can be really comfortable in and I love muscle tees and tights. Speaking of tights, this is a standard outfit for me. I could easily paste my head on top of hers. Lol

Last year I kinda got into jumpers once I found one that suited me. I really like this one.

I'm not really a shorts person unless they are really short and I know that sounds bad, but because my legs are so long, I'm 5'9, those are the best looking ones on me. I'll probably rotate the same ones I always do. I'm probably just going to live in outfits like above the jumper.

Now Peyton. That's a different story.

We'll talk about her in the next post. Lol

I'll be back with my fave summer hairstyles to beat the heat!

Days off

2014-02-24T18:48:00.001-05:00

I seriously feel like my days off and far and few between.

I get them, but it feels like they don't exist. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. My daughter and I play and then it's over. If only I was a stay at home mom.

I spend more time at work than at home.

Bleh. Sorry for the vent, but it's not all about clothes, shoes and makeup.

Stay geeky my hardworking friends.

Nail polish Review: Maybelline Color Show Canary Cool

2013-12-22T18:52:00.001-05:00

Since I did my Urban Decay naked Pallet review, I decided to bring you another one. However, this one is not good. I learned of maybelline canary cool via Missglamourazzi on YouTube who does amazing videos. I saw it on her fingers and instantly was in love! ❤️ However though I think the color is beautiful, this was my results:

I've literally had to polish my nails three days in a row because it would chip two hours later! This was my first time using this brand as far as polish and I'm a little sad. I love the color so much so I think it's worth it, but not to chip that fast. So I would still recommend it because I think the color is amazing on any color skin, but not long lasting. 😔

Stay Geeky friends!

Get Naked!

2013-11-25T21:44:00.001-05:00

I'm sure you've seen this item before....Dan Dan dun, The Urban Decays Naked Pallet One.

This is my first venture into the naked world and what an expensive one I might say! $50 hot bucks! The question is, was the trip worth it? We'll honestly I'm not sure yet. The jury is still out. The reason I say this is because even though I see why it's so expensive, especially with the quality of it, but I'm yet to see the difference.

I have a pallet and I won't take pictures cause it's a mess, but it's by wet and wild that gives as much pay off as this and is much much cheaper! Only 4.99.

I guess the more I play around with it, I'll discover more looks. I mean, I'm no where near unhappy with it. Everyone's raving for a reason. Lol

Anywho, I'll be doing a review soon on my YouTube Chanel. Click the link in the sidebar. Chess cat smile above! Lol

Cute sweaters!

2013-11-18T21:32:00.001-05:00

Im obsessed.

These sweaters are amazing!

What am I talking about? Adorable sweaters! Long ago, in the oden days, they would've been considered childish, but they are making a come back! Target and walmart has some cute ones. Speaking of tar-Jey, I just bought one today:

You'll see more of it when I wear it.

Here are some other cute ones I like!

Of course, what girl doesn't love wild fox couture? But it's so darn expensive! :(

Maybe one day I'll drop $100 on a sweatshirt....probably not. Besides, forever 21 has got some great dupes. Now it's a matter of getting them cause that store still makes me dizzy. I have a previous post about this. Lol :)

Stay geeky guys!

Nikki

Favorite Outfit right now:)

2013-11-17T17:54:00.001-05:00

This is an outfit I tend to wear a lot.

This is when we were on vacation. That's why the bathroom looks different. Sorry about the toilet. I tried to crop it out. Lol

Jacket ~ Ross

Sweater ~ Walmart

Tights ~ Kmart

Here's a close up on the shoes I wore. Believe it or not, they are from Family Dollar!

And here's a close up on the tights. Weird pic I know. I'm obsessed with tights lately. We'll not lately, but printed tights. I use to be kind of shy about them, but they are an easy way to cheer up your wardrobe and they are inexpensive.

Here's some others I got from Walmart.

Blue floral and

Me feeding baby girl while she's annoyed. Lol either way, you see the tights. Lol better picture when I wear them again. Lol

Mini Vaca!

2013-11-15T22:08:00.001-05:00

Hubby and I went on a mini Vaca this past weekend without the munchkin. First time ever!

It was an experience! We went with her about a month before that and it was a different kind of trip with a baby. Fun but different. Second trip though, I don't think mommy and daddy, as they say in the south "knew how to act", we just went nuts! Lol. Here's Pics from both trips to Myrtle Beach, SC for our one day only trips.

Baby Vaca:

Mommy and daddy trip:

On both trips we had a lot of fun! If you've never been to myrtle beach it's an easy weekend getaway if you live nearby.

It's always refreshing to have a day of relaxation, if only for a day.

Stay geeky,

Nikki

Peppa Pig Party

2013-11-15T21:43:00.001-05:00

Where has this year gone right?

Princess Peyton celebrated her first birthday on October 24th and mommy did it with her favorite character, Peppa Pig! I was going to buy everything but it would have taken forever to order everything from the UK. So it was all DIY by mommy party planning extrodinare. Lol

Here's are some pics! I patted myself on the back if I do say so myself.

My baby girl had an amazing time!! I can't believe she's one!!

Stay geeky,

Nikki

Vintage

2013-10-17T23:49:00.001-04:00

We'll hello there!

I was given this dress by my mother in law and it's vintage and I am truly I love with it. I'm actually surprised because it shows off my shape and I am no where near my pre baby weight.

I added the belt to it. It's something very pretty and 50s about it and I love the bow at the top. I've purchased a lot of items lately and I will be doing a haul here and my YouTube channel. Here is a preview of some of the jewelry I've purchased lately.

Also I will be doing a review of the naked one pallet I recently purchased. You'd be surprised to know what I think.

Keep tuned and stay classy. Xoxo

Yesterday's Outfits Of The Day!

And perfection. :) Total daddy's girl!

4 Months And Counting. ..

2013-02-25T23:03:00.001-05:00

Odd picture I know. It was taken at work. I just thought it was cool and I'm sure it didn't translate that way. Hehe. I'm slowly losing the baby weight. I'm just doing it the healthy way. More of a lifestyle change. I can tell by how my clothes are fitting. I want to go past my pre baby weight. I keep getting told about this drastic stuff I can do, but to be honest, I'm too busy for any of that. I'm just going to do it my way. On to more important things. ..my little girl is 4 months. It's really going by fast. She's teething now, but not bad. Let's hope it stays that way. Fingers crossed. She's not at the sitting up by herself point yet, but her upper body and neck strength is amazing. She did everything before time, it's awesome. I can see her walking in two months. I think she will skip crawling. Lol I swear this little girl has stolen my heart. She is amazingly smart and kind. She's developing so well. I'm already a proud mommy. Ok let me go before I tear up. :) Stay geeky.

Time To Get It!

2013-02-08T22:13:00.001-05:00

Ok enough of the living out of wack!! I mean, I need to organize myself. Peyton is kinda on a scheldue that i'm still trying to decipher.....now I need one. I'm going to purchase a planner to organize myself so that I can get it all done. I use to use a planner faithfully but I quit because I tried to organize myself with my phone which was a nono. I need something in front of me. I considered getting a Filofax, but the cost wasn't working for me. I'm already a little back and fourth with planners in the first place. So it needs to be affordable just in case I don't commit. I'm going to this time....try really hard..... Its so pretty, lookit! Either way, I have to do this cause it'll help me. Peyton is an easy baby, but momma needs structure for her sanity since there's a lot more going on now. If you know of any cheaper options let me know. Lastly, here's my like angel to say hello!! Stay geeky!

Time...wow.

2013-02-01T20:03:00.001-05:00

Its February first and my baby is going on four months old and I feel like the days blow by. I haven't really posted many ofotd pictures cause to be honest, i'm lucky to remember earrings. It's usually mommy mornings before work and trying to entertain her and get beautified at the same time is a task. However, lately i've been trying, but no new clothes..i've beyond had no time to shop. Here's what ive come up with lately. I'm using a new app called pose that's pretty cool to post outfits. Please follow me under the name nikkisparklesxo and of course on instagram under moderdayprincess. Xoxo

Baby Peyton

2013-01-21T16:41:00.001-05:00

Baby Peyton was here a long time ago, sorry guys. As I assume you know, I haven't had time for fashion. Here's my little miracle. I love her so much!! She's the most special, smart, amazing baby. You'll hear a lot about her as soon as I get more time to write. I'm gonna try to get back on YouTube since that seems easier. You'll know first. XoXo Nikki

Waiting....and Waiting...

2012-10-13T18:08:00.001-04:00

Its my final week of pregnancy and i'm not gonna lie, i'm pretty happy about it. Being pregnant was an amazing experience for me, but also once nine months hits, you're ready to just be you again with a cute new bundle of joy beside you and not in you! I hope that doesn't sound mean? Either way, this Friday, if she doesn't decide to come earlier, I'll be induced. Basically my little girl doesn't wanna go anywhere so I must be doing something right. :) So now its watching and waiting for baby. Xoxo Nikki

Flower Baby

2012-09-23T19:11:00.001-04:00

The bump is totally bumping now as you can see! I'm officially 36 Weeks now and coming really close to baby time! And boy am I ready for baby time! Some people would be scared, but not me. I'm all for it and counting down. My due date is October 20, but I don't think she will wait that long. Here's hoping not, but I just want her to be healthy. Check out this picture. She's almost saying, hello! Lol Xoxo Nikki

Happy Fourth Of July

2012-07-04T11:47:00.001-04:00

My outfit for today is pretty laid back and casual. The dress is from Wal-Mart and was only nine dollars. It's really cute and relaxing that I've bought a white one. I'm usually not into white dresses, but we will see how it goes. Right now I'm in Anderson visiting my family and they are pretty shocked over my HUGE belly. Peyton is really enjoying hearing all the new voices cause she is kicking away! With that being said, enjoy your day guys. XOXO Nikki
