After running a few trials with free blog services, I've decided that wordpress has all I need.
Running five blogs at once, is too many. Deleting anything on a free service is unnecessary. Some media is linked to them still.

The Embassy and MardiGrass blogspot articles are now both on NIMBIN WAVE and all the other affiliated experiments, some are still networked to facebook and twitter etc.

The free Blogger service is very good except there is no access to the same level of server instruction as the wordpress program registered at a hosted domain server.

The Nimbin HEMP Embassy and webhead, will continue editing; hempembassy.net | nimbinmardigrass.com | australianhempparty.com and we will use nimbinwave.com for incoming news and blog posting, connect with the YouTube channels, as a supplement for MardiGrass developments and the print program, and as an index to the extensive hempembassy.net web site.

There will be no more unique content on Blogger or wordpress.com/. The experiments have ceased.

Wordpress has many features that can help provide archives, pages, categories, tags and very sophisticated design layout. Learning to use the plug-ins and their functions takes a bit of fiddling. Finding new additions and improvements to the versatility of web design is an on-going process.

What you found last time you visited, might be different again on NIMBIN WAVE. I am pleased to have access to good content and a new place to post it.

Mini me Obama warns about the danger of getting caught smoking Cannabis if you want to be the President.

Teenagers today face many pressures and run the risk of having little or no faith in democracy. If President Obama (or any of the others before him) was caught smoking Cannabis then he would have a different job now, or be in prison.

Obama smoked Cannabis and did not get caught, as he confessed.

Racial prejudice still exists in America and is evident in the ratio of non-whites in prisons. Cannabis laws are designed to maintain corporate greed and protect religious morals.

The money aspect of Medical Marijuana is in focus for a new frontier of exploitation. Displacement of these ideals will take more time yet. And the chemical drug companies can't afford to miss out on their profit margins.

We must release all those imprisoned for Cannabis alone and remove of all records of previous criminal Cannabis convictions. Before any more lives are spoilt by a law that is an injustice.

The law is the crime.

We can change the prohibition laws over industrial hemp and recreational marijuana.

In 2008 and 2009 the Nimbin Showground provided camping grounds and facilities for the annual Cannabis law reform rally and gathering, Nimbin MardiGrass.

The Nimbin HEMP Embassy would like to thank the Agricultural and Industry Society (A&I) for their continued association with the annual protest rally and wish for the success of the A&I's annual show again at the same venue.

Now that "Industrial Hemp" is legal to cultivate under licence we can expect to a greater influence on local industries as the hemp industry expands.

POLITE and BIG JOINT Flying Squad: Rally at the Powerhouse Museum. http://www.BIGJOINT.org

The purpose of the Rally is twofold; to protest the current Cannabis laws in Australia and to draw attention to the bias implicit in the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre. (NCPIC) whose First National Cannabis Conference is being held at the same venue and time.

The NCPIC is NOT providing unbiased information to the Australian public.
In its role as an information service they should be providing information based on recent studies that indicate:

Cannabis is not a Gateway Drug1
Cannabis does not have a causal link with Schizophrenia2
Cannabis does not cause lung cancer3

They also confuse the problems caused by prohibition with their claimed harms of Cannabis use.4
They fail to provide any accurate or useful information to medical users of Cannabis via their telephone service.

There are no pro-cannabis speakers included in the agenda for the first National Cannabis Conference, so instead there will be information available outside the conference at the protest rally.

A Working Party established by the NSW Government to examine the use of cannabis for medical purposes concluded in its final report (August 2000) that medical conditions for which cannabis may be of medical benefit are :

HIV-related wasting and cancer related wasting,
Pain unrelieved by conventional treatments,
Neurological disorders including (but not limited to) multiple sclerosis (MS), Tourette's syndrome and motor neurone disease,
Nausea and vomiting in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy which does not respond to conventional treatments. 5

Canada has Federal Medical Marijuana laws, as do 14 States of the USA, The Netherlands, and several other countries in the world have decriminalised Cannabis use and possession.

The rally intends to highlight these facts and asks the question, why are we being left behind by our government through the agency of the NCPIC?
The BIG JOINT will be appearing at the Rally fresh from it's appearance at Lismore hospital, where protesters caught the attention of Kevin Rudd as they appealed for medicinal use of Cannabis to be allowed.

There are some speakers and entertainment at the rally and a HEMP information stand will be offering advice to people interested in alternative foods, fibres, paper manufacturing and other associated Cannabis uses.

Got a Gordian Knot in your gut?

We will have fear as long as newspaper editors remain cynically addicted to fear inducing headlines for sales. They profit by our fears. The more fearful we become, the more newspapers we buy to validate those fears. Hullo hamsters! Keep running. You are generating power for some historical event somewhere, beyond our control and receiving our sustenance.

Surely it is not a satisfying life to be afraid of everything outside your box. Come to MardiGrass and see for yourself that our difference can be enjoyed and that we threaten nothing. There might be threateningly different views somewhere else in the world, but not here.

To confirm the arrangements which will govern the protest activity planned by your organisation (Nimbin Hemp Embassy) to take place on Monday and Tuesday, 7th and 8th of September 2009 in the Sydney CBD

Timings: Assemble 8am outside the Power House Museum, Harris Street, Ultimo and hold a rally in relation to raising issues concerning the regulating of cannabis for medical use. Pamphlets to be handed out. Disperse by 6pm each day.

Agreed Conditions:

It is anticipated the number of participants will not exceed 50 persons at each assembly point.
from within that number the organisation “Nimbin Hemp Embassy ” are to nominate marshalls to guide and maintain a level of control over the gathering
all marshalls are to be readily identifiable to police
all participants are to obey the lawful directions of police
The assembly are not to encroach upon the roadway.
participants are not to block footpaths, stairs or entry or exit points so as to obstruct the free movement of other pedestrians or traffic.
participants are not to block the entrance to any building at any time
participants are not to engage in criminal or anti social behaviour
reasonable use of a small, portable public address system is permitted
reasonable use of hand held megaphones by marshalls is also permitted
use of an inflatable `Big Joint’ is permitted, however, must not block pedestrian traffic or encroach on the roadway.
The assembly will disperse by 6.00pm.
Small banners are to be used only and are not to contain offensive language or obscene slogans or pictures during the event/rally.
The NSW Police Force considers the burning of any article, flag or effigy a public safety hazard. The Police Force reserves the right to take any such action/s as may be necessary to ensure the safety of participants. The general public and police officers, should such activity occur.
The event/rally organiser is to ensure that no damage is occasioned to public or private property. Should such damage occur, the organizer to the best of his/her ability is to assist police in identifying those responsible for such damage.
The organiser is to assist Police identify any persons responsible for commission of any offence.
Notification of the protest activity to the Power House Museum must be completed prior to the activity by contacting them by phone or email.

The Duty Officer for that date, working from City Central Police station will contact you a short time prior to the protest activity commencing.

A delegation from the Nimbin HEMP Embassy seized the opportunity to remind PM Rudd that Cannabis is a health issue, during his visit to Lismore Hospital. The BIG JOINT crew scrambled, on short notice to represent cannabis consumers, who support law reform and re- legalisation. Code named; Operation Blunt End, the POLITE SQUAD provided logistical assistance to inflate the MardiGrass flagship.

Medical Marijuana is now prescribed to school children in California for a wide range of common ailments, including stress and anxiety. Terminally ill patients receive natural relief for their pain and misery from registered dispensaries that provide a regulated supply. Legislation for medical use is now passed in 14 States of the US. Mexico has decriminalised many drugs for personal use. Australian laws on Cannabis use for medical and personal purposes must change.

Victims are created from a situation that ruins lives, if you are caught experimenting as a youth or a poor lost soul. Punishment without fair reason is a disparity of justice compared to other crimes. Social problems are perpetuated by the over-inflated price for cannabis that attracts the criminal market.

Prohibition of Cannabis is yet to show any success in suppressing the illegal trafficking of the herb and review of the current legislation is well over due. Money spent on attempting to prevent cannabis use has been wasted and has given reason to disrespect the legal process. Discrimination against alcohol abuse and nicotine addiction would be seen as undemocratic under the present laws.

Now PM Rudd has placed the spot light on Rural Health it is essential that cannabis is prescribed for a wide variety of diseases, therapeutically.

The spirit of the Nimbin MardiGrass, Australian Cannabis Law Reform Rally and Parade.
They dance behind the Bundjalung people who traditionally welcome the protesters to their country each year. The Ganja Faerie dance has itself become a tradition simply because the laws remain unacceptable to all self respecting ganja users, be they Bundjalung, faeries or otherwise.

Each year the dance community in Nimbin come together to choreograph a routine for the march and the result is a riot of colour and rhythm on the day. You are welcome to join us. One week before MardiGrass (last weekend in April) there will be a dance workshop held at the Nimbin Dance studio especially for the march, on the Saturday. No experience needed, just enthusiasm. Ask around town when you get here.

How Cannabis isn't legal in any of the 195 countries in the world , yet is used by 167 million people, what percentage of them are recreational , spiritual , medical, or combination's of, I don't know.

However you can get Cannabis on prescription in Holland and Germany! So why not the UK?

Dr. Melamede has a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the City University of New York.

He retired as Chairman of the Biology Department at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 2005, where he continues to teach.

Dr. Melamede is recognized as a leading authority on the therapeutic uses of cannabis, and has authored or co-authored dozens of papers on a wide variety of scientific subjects.

The giant inflatable BIG JOINT is a spectacular addition to the annual Cannabis Rally and Parade.
No Hippies were injured as the POLITE escort and BIG JOINT floated down to Peace Park behind the Ganja Faeries and Percussionists.

Maybe there is a space in your town for a giant joint. You could blow it up yourself. What a wonderful thing that would be.
